  1. Well, after five wonderful years of ownership, the time has finally come for me to sell my beautiful 2005 S2 V35 Coupe. So, with more than a little sadness I've posted her up for sale on the forum (and Carsales obviously). http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/457126-for-sale-my-2005-skyline-v35-coupe-s2-mature-owner-tastefully-modified/ Please PM if interested or would like more info. Cheers.
  2. For sale is my absolutely immaculate 350GT Skyline Coupe S2 in Lakeshore Blue. This is a 2005 Series 2 model that is loaded with extras and has been very tastefully and expertly modified. I am a mature driver and have been the sole owner of this amazing car since it was imported in 2009. The car was imported wearing a full IMPUL 535CS polycarbonate body kit ( http://www.impul.co.jp/products/model/V35_SKYLINE_535CS.html ) and fitted with the gorgeous factory MOMO steering wheel and full Premium Pack. The Premium Pack includes: • leather/suede in black • bose stereo upgrade • dual climate control • auto headlights • momo steering wheel • pop-up nav system and computer I even have the original Nissan floor mats and the JDM signal flare is still present in the passenger foot well! Since purchase the car has been religiously serviced and cared for by Paul and the professional team at Pulse Racing ( http://www.pulseracing.com.au ) I have had a few very select and tasteful modifications done to the vehicle including: • Greddy Titanium cat back exhaust system. • Takeda cold air intake ( http://afepower.com/shop/details_new.php?partno=TR-3015P ) • Motordyne ¼” Plenum Spacer All work was professionally completed by Pulse Racing. She now rides on a set of 18" Racing Hart CP-F Tune R Ultralights in silver/bronze shod with spectacular Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 tyres ( 265/35R18 93W ) Overall this truly is an amazing vehicle and I have enjoyed every moment of ownership over the past 5 years. I do feel a little sad to be parting ways and hope that the lucky new owner cares for her as much as I have. Many thanks for looking. Give PM me or give me a call on 0402006846 if you are interested or would like some more details. Looking for offers around $19,990
  3. Many thanks. Seems as though this is not a unique situation. Found one in the US. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191399920291?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (Apparently it is called an "escutcheon") Just putting it on record for the next person to need one......
  4. So. I left my car in what I thought was a safe spot. Came back to find that part of the door handle was missing (the bit that covers the keyhole) See photos. I'm guessing that maybe it was a disturbed theft attempt? Anyway, I now need to replace this part. Anyone know what it's called and where I might get one?
  5. Looking for a recommendation on a good place to get my 2005 V35 Coupe "iDevice'd" somewhere in the South Sydney area. Hoping that there is a workshop somewhere no too far away that has good experience with the V Series and a reputation for outstanding work! Cheers All.
  6. Not sure that you would want to "fix" it. It is the ABS system doing a self test. Should occur between 10-15 kph. Perfectly normal.
  7. I managed to catch my nose in a really damn tight car park. Bugger! Now I'm struggling to find a source where I can buy some touch-up paint. My 2005 V35 Coupe has color code B30 which is described as "Lakeshore Blue". I'm hoping to source brush-in-cap bottle and spray can of base coat, color and clear coat. I've found a couple of US web sites: http://www.touchuppaintonline.com/Infiniti/G35 http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ But it seems that they don't ship outside of the USA. Anyone know of a good source for touch-up paint?? Cheers!
  8. Mmm. See that my photos got stuffed. Let me try again.....
  9. Sweet rims mate. Looks sensational. Way better than the shiny cheese graters that you see on some rides. You just can't beat good taste!
  10. Excellent news! I shall look forwards to the arrival announcement. Any ballpark on what investment mightl be required as yet ? Cheers.
  11. Been reading through this quite substantial thread..... Just want to make sure that I've got my facts straight. I've just got my V35. It's a 2005 S2 Premium Coupe. My understanding is that as of today, the english conversion software patch is not yet available for the S2. But. All being well it will be available from some kind outfit in Russia in the future. Did I get it right?
  12. Yes. indeed he does!! He had some very nice stock in the warehouse. Including a lowered V35 with blacked out lights and shod with the best looking Volks I've ever seen. Didn't know he dealt in seafood though !!
  13. Yes indeed. I'd love to come along to the next meet. I'll watch out for the announcement. (There's a whole heap of buttons that I have no idea what they do......It'd be great to have some experienced owners to show me the ropes..... particularly puzzled by the "AutoDJ" button at the moment !!)
  14. ....Got it through Version One imports in Sydney. Can't speak highly enough of the owners there and the spectacular levels of service and care. Definitely a quality organisation. As for how much, I think that I'd rather keep that to myself. But I'm convinced that I got a very good deal indeed. It's good to have cash in the bank!
  15. I am very pleased to announce that after much searching I have found and purchased my perfect V35 coupe. It's a dark blue 2005 Premium Coupe Auto with IMPUL body kit, IMPUL 18" alloys, IMPUL exhaust... The body kit looks sensational (IMHO) and I love the white alloys against the dark colour She is most fine and I'm a very happy man. I've uploaded a few photos to share the joy!! <big grin>
  16. Auto/Manual? Photos? Asking Price?
  17. Hi Chris....Can you give me a ballpark on what it would cost me to get your DBW CC kit fitted to an auto? And how long does the installation typically take? Cheers. T.
  18. Hi dannyw...I mean no offence to the U20's....I was one once !!.....My gripe is with the dealer. I understand that they might need to be careful and protect their stock (and time) from joy riders and time-wasters. I'm sure that they get few who just want to play! But , c'mon surely any dealer worth their salt ought to be able to tell the difference between a serious "mature" buyer and a "less serious" buyer who had nothing better to do that afternoon. Maybe we should start another thread on "How to get a dealer to treat you seriously and with respect" ? Peace. T.
  19. Hi Guys. Went out to Nagoya in Sydney today to take a look at a 350GT....seemed to have exactly what I was looking for only in silver not my preferred white/pearl.. In the interest of full and transparent disclosure on this forum, I have to say I was most disappointed! Let me say up front that "Alex" (who seems to have the good rep) was not there......but......the cars, even though inside were presented very poorly. The one that I was particularly interested in was dirty, there were even cobwebs on the wheels. The engine bay was grubby, the cars battery was flat and had to be jumped and the guy I spoke to appeared as though he didn't really want to be there. In fairness I should say that the car seemed to be in good order and had the original auction report in the glove box with a 4.5/5 rating. The guy I spoke with didn't seem too interested in doing business.....to the extent that he would not allow me to test drive (bear in mind that i'm 44 with money in the bank, not 19 and on my P's !!) without putting a deposit down on the car !!! Are you kidding? Never going to happen! Anyway, far from being put off. This has made me more determined to hold out for exactly the car the I want. There seem to be plenty of clean private sales out there. When I get some free time, I'll scour the web and visit some genuine enthusiasts. I'm sure that I'll meet some very nice people who've cared for their rides as well as I plan to.... Peace.
  20. Sensational info guys....you are all making me feel more comfortable with picking up one of these beauties. I got a PM yesterday recommending Nagoya Motors http://www.nagoyamotors.com.au and they seem to be offering free 3 year warranty and a years rego. Dunno if they do servicing and repairs as yet. They are also only about 20 mins from where I live!! I'll be checking them (and their stock) out real soon! I've pretty much decided that what I want is a 350GT with tiptronic/semi-auto, premium (obviously) in pearl with leather/suede. Ideally with 18" rims. I reckon that I'll be able to get a low k's 2003 or 2004 model for under 30K which frankly is bloody amazing! I did see a thread which discussed what fuel consumption I can expect, but it was quite confusing. I'm still puzzled as to what fuel they will run on. Premium only, unleaded, E10? And whether I'l get 8L/100k or 14L/100k? Clearly drving style makes a big difference. I tend to drive pretty steadily. Anyone wanna guess an expected consumption figure? Also, on the numbers, If I pick up an '04 for about 30K, any guesses as to what a residual might be after 4 years? Now this might seem like an odd question, but anyone know what the vehicles dimensions are. My side of the garage is the "short" side and I need to be sure that it'll fit!! I'd better go find one to test drive now, just to make sure that I REALLY like 'em !!
  21. Thanks guys. Great posts....I'm now way better informed. Should have said that I'm in Sydney.......can anyone comment on resources local to me? It'd be nice to locate a Sydney Nissan service center that's cosher with a V35. Also for CC, looks like Chris Rogers is Brisbane based. Bit of a hike from Syd! @Chris - know of anyone doin' DBW CC in Sydney? Better call my insurance company (AAMI) for a quote.....and start hunting for "my" car... Happy Easter...hope that the bunny visited your place..
  22. Hi comrades, Been considering a luxury sports coupe for a while now. Saw a V35 350GT in white the other day...and after doing a wee bit of reseach, I'm hooked....seems like a whole lotta car for the money. However, I'm a middle aged, DIY clutz !!! I like the easy life and really don't wanna buy myself a bucket of trouble, pain and frustration !! So, before I do my usual thing, which is to rush out, buy what I want, and suffer later. I thought I'd ask a few questions from those who have been there before.. I've read a whole bunch of posts about things to watch out for when buying (thanks to those who posted this stuff) but these are still things on my mind: 1. Servicing and Repairs. Where would I get the car serviced, and should anything break, repaired. I'm completely anal when it comes to servicing and maintenace so would want to be certain that the job was done properly. Would my local Nissan dealer be able (and willing) to do this? 2. Insurance. Are there problems with getting an import insured? I'm currently insured with AAMI, and being in my mid 40's, insurance is pretty reasonable. Am I waving bye-bye to reasonably priced insurance by buying one of these beauties? 3. Cruise Control. I like cruise control. I reckon that it's saved from any number of speeding tickets! I notice that these don't come with cruise control as standard (how odd!). How would I go about having CC fitted and how much would it set me back? (Actually I noticed that the US, Infinity ones do seem to have cruise. But I don't really want one with Infinity written on the back !!) Thanks guys. This is a great forum.
