im after a power steering pump for my 94 series 1 r33 gts-t , new or used. can you tell me how many kilometers its done if its used and how much you would like for it thanx.

i usually wait for 3 minutes or when oil pressure guage is needle drops to half or just below. then drive away but dont hammer it until temp guage is up to normal running temp.

if its any help ive got one on my rb25 , starts making boost from2300/2500rpm and full boost by 3500rpm. so probably add another 500rpm for rb20 maybe.

gt30 is producing 30rwkws more than gcg turbo at same boost with same mods, id like to see how the gt30 would go with the vg30 exhaust housing , i think with cams aswell which iam getting fitted as we speak. my mods include 600x300x80mm front mount intercooler utilising stock pipeing. gt30 turbo with a/r 70 comp cover , a/r .63 rb25 exhaust housing. low mount stainless exhaust manifold, ces racing 3inch split dump pipe into 3 inch exhaust , 3 inch cat, 3 inch inlet to barrel style muffler with 4.5 inch tip. 550cc/min injectors , bosche 600hp fuel pump. exedy hyper single plate clutch. i think ive included eveything. now my turbo pulled 230rwkws at 13psi and 260rwkws at 20psi on shootout mode, which means ive got a huge restriction somewhere holding back power because as someone mentioned on these forums that i should be pulling 7rwkws for every pound od boost over 13 psi, which would result in 7psi x 7rwkws = 42rwkws plus 230rwkws ; which would equate to 272rwkws. which is where im at now . im getting step one tomei poncams with 256 degrees duration 8.5mm lift as we speak which sk seems to think could net up to 15rwkws more peak power and up to 25rwkws more across the power curve. im also dropping the cr from 9 to 1 to 8.5 to 1, so i can run more boost safely . and further down the track i will probably change exhaust housings too. i will post up my shootout graph in the weeks to come let you know how i go.

links use map sensor instead of airflow meter. you can run bov to atmosphere instead of recirculating.

$6500 for engine rebuild plus parts except tomei poncams. does not include turbo. turbo cost me $2150 from horepowerinabox gt30. the $6500 includes engine out and engine in and running in on dyno. yes alot of money but speaking to other people on these forums it seems about right . i think r31 nismoid paid similar money and that was with ben from race pace whom seemsvery reputable. -
just got an email back from michael at gcg in regards to fitting a larger exhaust housing for internal wastegate, im looking at $990 plus $100.00 to adapt to gt30. ive got pics of turbo front and rear, i do not know how to post them but if someone wants to give me there email address i can send photos and if someone knows how to post them up that would be great.

im in the middle of getting my rb25 rebuilt, costing me $7500 which includes labour , parts plus tomei pon cams step ones. engine out engine in plus running in on the dyno. wont go into long list of parts but using wiseco forged pistons and fully prepped gtr rods. i think the engine should be strong enough for up to 350rwkws but will only be pushing 280 to 300 rwkws inthe future . hope this helps you. -

cubes the hpinabox gt30 will pull 280rwkws. i will post up my new shootout graph once my engine has been rebuilt with forgies. im putting in tomei poncams step ones and dropping comp from 9 to 1 to 8.5 to 1. may even fit a magic cat or at least something better than the one im running. as for this turbo being ordinary, well i dont have the budget for a high mount hks set up. so im very happy with the combination ive got . boost starts at 2500rpm and peaks at 3500rpm , and if i can find another 15 to 20 rwkws i will be over the moon because its a nice balance between power and response is what im looking for.

im running a link with my rb25, i think they are a great computer if you have a good tuner. my was tuned by tim sheather of electronic automotive at epping victoria. i personally would go with someone who is a good tuner and go with the ecu they recommend purely from a convenience stand point, ; ie no good getting a link if there is no one out your way that can tune them.

im running one of those low mount , stock position manifolds. yes they look ugly but they really do work. i gained 15 rwkws at the same boost with my old gcg hi flow turbo . went from 212 rwkws to 227 rwkws and also allowed me to run more boost from 17 psi up to 20 psi , which gave me 240rwkws. hope this helps you make a decision. the best low mount manifold if you can get your hands on it would be a gts-r 6 into one. i think you can get them from r31 house but very pricey. -
are we talking about the same turbo? no. my turbo is a 500hp gt30. yours is a hks gt30 which although rated at 480ps plus what ever , they can make alot more power than the equivilent garret gt30. im not after stupid comments , im not trying to out do anyone. my gt30 pulls 230 rwkws at 13 psi and 260rwkws at 20psi with internal wastegate and standard cams end of story. im sick to death of people saying thats shit this is better blah blah blah. how about i stick a hks t51r and blow you all away or a t88 which would probably pull 280rwkws at 12 psi , who cares.im not trying to out do anyone i was just making the comment in reply to cubes who said that my type of turbo will have truble pulling 250rwkws . i did not put this combination together to win dyno comps or to try to impress anyone.

ive got a hpinabox gt30 with 70comp cover and .63 a/r internally wastegated and it is actually put together by gcg turbos. as for power i got 260rwkws at 20 psi. now my engines is almost fully rebuilt with tomei pon cams i will let you know how it goes. please dont critisize a product that you havent even road tested.

is there any gain to be made upgrading from 2.5 to 3 inch intercooler pipeing, when running a gt30 on an rb25 equipped with 650mmx300mmx80mm intercooler with 3 inch inlet and outlet running 20psi and 260 plus rwkws? will it cause more lag ? is it overkill for a mid to high 200 rwkw combination? any info would be much appreciated thanx. i will be running standard plenum.
