  1. kamikaze 33 are you running a gcg high flow turbo?
  2. do you know any r33 gts-ts without an rb25? if i did i would have mentioned it.
  3. i used a jigsaw to cut the plastic and metal bar with great success. kept the indicators in there place by having custom end tanks made up with outlets at the very bottom of the intercooler. this made the front bar a little flimsy but fixed this with attaching a thin sheet of stainless steel along the bottom, very similar to the stock apron type thing that was there when i first bought the car but blew of one day when i was giving the skyline the boot down the freeway.
  4. because im running one , just got a split dump pipe fom ces racing in queensland and a 3inch cat. i was running stock cat and dump with 3inch exhaust and pulled 204rwkws at 1.2bar, getting retune soon and just wanted an idea of what to expect! 230to 240rwkws sounds pretty good , cant wait to feel the difference!
  5. would like to hear from anyone who is running a stage1 gcg 450hp high flow turbo? what power figures at what boost are you getting? has anyone cracked 250rwkws with one?
  6. dr drift, have you tunedany skylines with a gcg 450hp highflow st.1 turbo? if so what sought of power at what boost levels? do you think my turbo would still efficient up to say 1.5 bar of boost? on 98ron and 1.7 on 20% toluene with standard internals?

  8. rns11z what sought of power were you making and at what boost setting with the gt30 500hp turbo before and after running toluene? Dr Drift do you tune link aftermarket ecu? i spoke to ian weightman of amberley autos in dandenong and said he wouldnt touch it, he said that he only likes to tune apexi fc , autronic and motec!!!! what do you make of this? oh yead he reckons micro tech and wolf is crap too!! guess no one told him yet that there are a few skylines running 9 and 10 sec passes on these so-called crap ecus!! not every body has got a spare $4500 for motec! no matter how good they are.
  9. yes you heard it right the first time knore, its the dump/ and front pipe but i figured bang for buck $650 for an extra 26 rwkws its cheaper than upgrading cams or turbo? true?
  10. hi rns11z, what ratio did you mix it and with what fuel; eg. bp ultimate / 30% toluene? also what a turbo and mods are you running?

  12. ive read the diy thread on toluene and iam thinking about tuning my car on a mix of the stuff , but does anyone know how much of a measurable difference does it make say in rwkws, has anyone on this forum tuned there skylines on the stuff? what difference has it made? and if so with what other modifications?
  13. currently running 18x8 inch rims and was wanting to know what is the best brand and size semi slick tyre i can run on my 18x 8 inch rims for the drags? would love to run nittos but i think they only come in 305s wide in 18 inch rims and theres no way theyd fit on my rims nevermind under the rear guards on my r33 gts-t! any input would be greatly appreciated.
  14. i changed my stock dump for a ces split dump pipe, it cost me $650 in mild steel. power has risen from 204rwkws to 230rwkws at the same boost of 1.2 bar. im running gcg 450hp st.1 high flow turbo. car doesnt hesitate coming onto full boost anymore .
  15. great result! should spool up at lot better on an rb30, lets us know how it all goes sydneykid? i only just received the latest edition of hpi magazine in the mail today , thats how i know he pulled an 11.9.
  16. thanx for that sydney kidd , very useful info. my st1 pulled 204rwkws at 6300rpm at 1.2bar and that is before i change to a hi flow cat , split dump pipe, cam gears etc. at 7psi boost my peak power was 140rwkws at 6600rpm, why such a difference in peak rpm? would this be because of my restrictive dump/cat? thanx for the great advice, awesome thread!!! did the r34 use aftermarket cams to reach peak at 7000rpm?
  17. hi flows and hybrids are pretty much the same thing e.g. t3/4 , is a t3 turbo machined out to accept a much larger t04 compressor. the matching of two turbos to gain a higher flow than stock, therefore: hybrid or hi flow.
  18. have a look at the latest hpi magazine , ben ellis got 294rkws from a gcg GT3040. pulled 11.9 down the quarter on nittos! he was running 1.06 a/r exhaust. fullboost at 4 to 4500rpm.

  20. just wondering if anyone on this forum is running a highflowed rb25 turbo from gcg turbos in sydney ? and if so what kind of performance are you getting; ie: rwkws along with othermods. has anyone got the st1 or st2 versions? are they any good?
  21. well im very impressed with how much power youre making with an internal wastegate. what power level were you at when you pulled 12.9 ? was that with 275s? have you been down the quarter with current power level?
  22. i used to get 420kms to 50litres or so on 7psi stock set up, now more like 260kms on 17psi with t3/4 turbo and support system mods.
  23. try this web site for all info that you need : www.uniqueautosports.com.au. im currently fabricating a partition for my pod filter. get youre aluminium backed foam from your nearest clark rubber store and brackets from bunnings for half the cost of buying the kit! now thats what i call cheap horsepower!!!
  24. tell that to boostd, hes getting over 400hp with a vg30 hybrid? i appreciate youre advice but my budget doesnt stretch to $ 5000. $2300 turbo , $1400 manifold, $750 external wastegate, new oil lines, pipeing and labour. then another $ 3000 to strengthen engine internals. also no power under 4000rpm!
