  1. i couldnt agree more ,try fanging it around a corner on boost with a gt3040! go the gcg hi flow alot less hassle to fit and dollars !!
  2. dude splitfires are an over kill when running 10 psi . my car was breaking down at 5000rpm on similar boost levels when i originally bought my car and up the boost froom 8 to 12psi. replaced faulty coilpacks with second hand stockers and away i went again. the stock coilpacks worked fine until i upgraded turbo to hi flow and tried to wind the boost past 18 psi. im sure if you search the parts forsale section that someone will be selling theres cheap due to upgrading to split fires. dont buy stockers from wreckers they will want drug money for theres.
  3. theres a 10 sec gts-t here some where i saw for $17/18 k with over $20k of mods! i think $14k is a great price for a series 1 . spare a thought for us poor buggers that have paid $25k for series 1 6 to 7 years ago and spent $20 plus k. theres always people being bent over harder than you ! i could have bought a 95 gtr for $65k back in 2000 but instead i bought my series 1 gts -t for $25k. now 95 gtr are gong for $25 plus k!!!
  4. my 2 cents ,having driven gcg 450hp hi flow , gt3076 500 hp turbo with a/r .63 internal wastegate and my current set up gt3040 600hp turbo with a/r .82 exhaust housing. gcg 450p hi flow gave me 230rwkws on 20 psi at 3200rpm. heaps on low end and midrange a great street turbo. gt3076 500hp turbo gave me 260rwkws on 20 psi at 3500rpm / 3800rpm. three weeks later the engine let go. then i had the engine rebuilt with forged internals and with the addition of tomei poncams step 1s , she pulled 281rwkws on 22psi this was with 8.5 to 1 compression instead of standard 9 to 1. this combination pulled high 12s down the quarter with crap 2.2second 60 footers on street tyres and 112 mph. a great compramise between street and strip! gt3040 600hp turbo with .82 a/r exhaust housing, tial 38mm external wastegate and highmount manifold plus ported head now gives me 274 rwkws on 15/17 psi and 347 rwkws at 4400rpm fullboost but you feel the kick in the pants from 4000rpm. yet to try this combo out on the dragstrip but i can tell you that from 4400rpm to 4600rpm the power goes from like 168 rwkws to 268 rwks and its breaks traction 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th gear!!! very peaky bitch in deed. luckily though i can turn the boost down from 24psi 347rwkws down to 15psi 274 rwkws and she doesnt come onto boost as hard. hope this help you out, cheers carl.

    got the same problem as you, just been running her on low boost 15psi instead of 24 psi. still seems to run ok though.

  12. dont let her go for less than $20k! anyone trying to build this car even using a cheap stocker as a base would easily spend $30k to build the same.
  13. my gtr rods had this stamped on them 20-3<>05u41-1 and im pretty sure my stock rb25det rods had stamped on them 24-4<>05u41-2. does this help? i have photos with them side by side. if you would like the pics just pm me your email address and i will send them to you.
  14. mate,my r33 gts-t is running 3inch exhaust gt3040 600hp turbo ,24psi of boost and is making 346rwkws. i think 4 inch is a real over kill for your current application.
  15. i went from 170 rwkws to 230 rwkws that was good,then 230 rwkws to 260 rwkws that wasnt bad either then to 280 rwkws , then 346 rwkws $20k later ! it never ends lol .quick sell your skyline quickly before you want even more power ,its more addictive than any drug!
  16. i weighed my series 1 r33 gts-t once on a proper weigh bridge with a tad less than half a tankof gas and she weighed in at 1370kgs. manual transmission.

  19. as the topic suggests ive got a few stock parts left over from latest rebuild, all these items are working fine. two gtr rods left over from a few sets that i have had i want $50 for the pair or $30 each. 4 left over rb25det rods left over from my engine rebuild i want $80 ono for these,will seperate if need be. set of rb25det series 1 stock valve springs ,i made 305 rwkws with these before i upgraded to tomei step 1 cams and valve springs so they have done 100000klms. i would like $50 for the set thanx. any questions or if you would like photos pm me . open to offers just need this stuff gone, taking uptoo much roomin my garage. cheers carl.
  20. my rb25det is making 274 rwkws at 17psi and 346rwkws on 24psi and im running gt3040 600hp garrett,spent half the money you have and thought that is alot! post up your dyno sheet, your power curve might give an insight to what is robbing you of power!

  22. ive got 168rwkws at 4400rpm ,268 rwkws at 4600rpm ,300 rwkws at 5200rpm and 346 rwkws at 6900rpm and i dont have to rev it right out to get good acceleration. if it rains turn down boost and keep her under 4k.
