  6. just found this chart so i guess the Charmion 8.5 heat plug is just about the same as an NGK 6 or 7 heat
  7. ^^^^^^ also i notices the heat range was 8.5 but on the site i found this QUOTE: The heat range numbers used by spark plug manufacturers are not universal, by that we mean, a 10 heat range in Champion is not the same as a 10 heat range in NGK. Some manufacturers numbering systems are opposite the other, for Champion, the higher the number, the hotter the plug. For other manufacturers (NGK, Denso, Bosch), the higher the number, the colder the plug.
  8. i know the Nissan rb20det carries the NGK# BCPR6ES-11 Specs: Traditional Spark Plug, 14mm Thread Size, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Resistor, Solid Terminal Nut, JIS Height, Projected Tip, .043" (1.1mm) Gap, Heat Range 6 Champion also has a plug with almost the same specs i'm wandering it it can be used on the rb20det? Champion# 3344 Specs: 14mm Thread Size, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Resistor, Copper Core, Projected Tip, Platinum Tipped Center Electrode, V-Trimmed Ground Electrode, Heat Range 8.5
  9. please help need info asap doing the rebuild this weekend
  10. So im going to rebuild my rb20det i have most of the parts already but i wanted to go with a full ACL con-rod and crankshaft bearing sets All i'm getting is the ACL connecting rod bearings not getting the crankshaft bearings tho so i was wandering if i should go with the factory Nissan crankshaft bearings *how good are the genuine Nissan camshaft bearings? *can i use them along with the ACL connecting rod bearings *do you have any OEM part numbers ?
  11. So rb26 bolts/studs will have to be used ?
  12. ok i have an RB20DET in my ride as we speak was thinking about running some mods on it or upgrading to an RB25DET or RB25DET-NEO what you think whats the pros and cons with the RB20DET, RB25DET & the RBB25DET-neo currently my rb20 is running *Stock rb20 motor *300zx 45v3 t3 turbo *10-12 psi boost *TurboXS boost controller *Blitz bov *Blitz LM 3" intercooler *2.5 intercooler piping *3" free flow stainless exaust *Custom RB26 side mount intake manifold *Upgraded ecu ( flashed\remapped ) *Fidanza 4.3 ceramic clutch kit *NGK iridium spark plugs #7 *Walbro external fuel pump Was going to upgrade to...... *Rebuild with Genuine Nissan complete engine kit *Genuine nissan piston rings *Garrett GT3076r or hks GT3037pro-s *Xo2 exhaust manifold *Sard fuel press reg *550cc injectors *AEM water/meth injection kit *Greedy E-manage ultimate or haltech unit (TRY TUNE TO ABOUT 18-20PSI) *Map sensor setup *Wide band o2 *Cometic metal head gasket *ACL race bearings *ARP head bolts *HKS timing belt *Oil cooler *Oil rerun lines from head to block
  13. juts needed to know the different steps when going about building these engines what power gains will i see the Pros and the Cons?
  14. just a stupid question....... if you can use an RB26 gasket on the custom RB2.2 block can you upgrade to an rb26 head also? just curious because i know the rb26 head flows wayyyyy better than the rb20det head
  15. had to cut the metal water line and re-run it
  16. check the pic on the first page thats the night of installation

  18. Was just wandering can you use the solid lifters from the rb26 in the rb20 head?
  19. upgrade completed and i am very happy http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...b2-t342017.html
  20. the upgrade is complete and i used the rb26 AAC-valve setup http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...b2-t342017.html
  21. this is where the rb26 gets its vacuum signal
  22. Well i used a single throttle setup so i can take vacuum for anywhere on the plenum if you are using the 6 throttle you get the vacuum signal from the log that sits on top of the RB26's inner manifold section with the two steel tubes
  23. it was really easy The 2 lines that run from the two steel tubes decending between the two RB26 runners to the AAC/IAC chamber are vacuum lines so what i did was run the lines from the 2 metal hose fittings under the RB26 plenum to the AAC/IAC chamber
