  1. I thought MR30 rotors would have wheel studs, since the rotor and hub are one piece. JH
  2. Hmmm... it seems pretty quiet over there. I may end up holding onto it for a while. There's always eBay. JH
  3. Hi, Noticed this today. Plenty of rust. Interior is reasonable. Yard details: http://www.autowreckers.com.au/Home/Home.asp Unlike other places they will answer the phone. JH
  4. Hi, Looks like a good buy . Asking price went down to around $300, if I remember correctly. Just wondering, where did you manage to find the hotplates? cheers, JH
  5. An update: Spoke to the guy at Jolly's this morning. The C210 has been crushed and sent off for scrap. The story is that they cleared several rows of cars on the lot to make room for 20 cars that arrived. The aerial pic (http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/Home/Home.asp) shows the cars packed really close together. It's very difficult to retrieve some parts (like doors and guards). They clear a row, then fill a row. JH
  6. Looking back at the state of the car as it rolled into the wreckers (see first post, pics are still there at the moment), it was in fairly good condition. Have no idea why they were unwilling to sell it complete. I did ask and they simply said it "wasn't allowed". Will ask about the car and let you know. JohnH
  7. Thanks Andrew, So many Datsun forums! I put an ad on datsun1200.com and datnet.org. Better register myself on ozdat.com - or maybe I'm registered there already? How much did you sell the gearboxes for? You can PM an answer or not answer if you prefer. I saw one sold on eBay recently for around $350. JohnH
  8. Hi, I have an r30 Skyline 5 speed gear box for sale. Pics and details here. Gearbox, mount and shifter. Price $320 JH (Melb, SE suburbs)
  9. Grim news, "vehicle body no longer in stock" Somehow... you have to get to these cars before the wreckers get their hands on them. JH
  10. If chopping involves oxy equipment, I'm fairly sure they won't permit it. However, if you send a list/diagrams/photos, I'll go and ask them. edit: (BTW How would you get the panels to Sydney?) JH
  11. Hi, I may be able to get parts for you. What parts are you after? JH
  12. Checked it out today. Distributor has already gone! D/S guard is damaged, other panels and doors all OK. Complete set of Ti rims (including spare), one centre cap gone, another broken. Lots of oil under power steering box. Seats in good condition for a car with 29x,000 on the clock. Got myself a fuel pump. JH
  13. Jolly's have an email alert system. This one arrived today. http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/eziparts/D...lysupullitcomau JH
  14. Hi, The other question is what do you intend to do with it once you've got it? To keep the car in good condition (and hold value), it'll have to be garaged and only driven occasionally. Interesting post Dennis. The two PNVs currently for sale are examples. One modified and well-used. The other mint and only driven on Sundays. Both unsold after many months on the market. JH
  15. Bonnet was gone when I saw the car. There's an old pic on Jolly's website showing the underside of the bonnet (link is in first post of this thread). JH
  16. These parts are heading to Ricky in WA (soon). JH
  17. Pics of the car taken on 26/01: http://picasaweb.google.com.au/jrh001aus/C...feat=directlink JohnH
  18. They were open today. I don't think they ever answer the phone (at least the advertised public number). Try the email address on their contact page. http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/WebPage/WebPage.asp?Ref=6954. JH
  19. I haven't seen the car but here's the link: http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/eziparts/D...E%2003/78-01/81 The web searching for this yard (Dandenong, Vic) is excellent, pics of all the cars and an inventory of parts removed. JH
  20. Thanks for the post, I haven't been to this event - may go along in an unremarkable silver MR30 (or a Ford if it's a hot day). Link to the event web site: http://www.picnicathangingrock.com.au/ JH
  21. Haven't done it. Just reading from the R30 service manual. It says to wet the inside of the new hose with fuel, push hose and hose socket on by hand, no clamps necessary (page EF-56). JH
  22. According to the service manual, the hose can be cut using a soldering iron, removed and a new one pushed on. JH
  23. Hi, There's also R30 discussion over in the 'Classic Skylines' section : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cl...ylines-f77.html (and some R30 khanacross discussion as well, see recent posts by 'Daewoo') cheers, JH
  24. Hi Nigel, Have you got an aircon condensor? JH
  25. Hi Dan, Noticed this company advertising on ebay. May be worth a look. http://www.maxheaders.com.au JH
