    In this case, the owner/seller has had the car for over 20 years. They're saying that the odometer is faulty and has clicked over 480000Km when the car has only done 200000Km. Car is in original condition, no engine or cluster replacement. I haven't seen any papers (or the car) yet. JH

    I've heard of odometers stopping (especially on R31's) but has anyone run across this situation with an R30? JohnH

    Just an uneducated guess here but there is a throttle valve switch that tells the ECU if the throttle is fully closed or open. Is that still connected? JH
