  1. I might have a grey one, can check this evening. JH
  2. Also, you could ask on ozdat. Graeme (nissanman) might be able to help. JH
  3. I have insight in what not to do. Re-painting sections, individual doors and guards doesn't really work - the paint never matches well. At least not when using rattle cans, even the colour-matched ones, where you take a sample (eg fuel flap) and they attempt to match the colour. I think clear coat is only used over metallic colours, details here http://vgautopaints.com.au/diy.html JH
  4. Two Pintaras listed at Jollys. I haven't been to Imlachs for a while but there are usually a few R31's in the yard. Also an R31 spotted at Kilsyth recently, scroll to the end of this thread on the R31 forum. cheers, JH
  5. Plenty of R31's about. Which side of Melbourne are you? JH
  6. Tail lights are $33 each at Jollys (wreckers) in Dandenong, Vic. JH
  7. Still aerodynamic and still for sale. "there is only one (1) Nissan with a better drag coefficient (Cd) than the R30 Skyline" JohnH
  8. Forgot to mention: R31 sway bar fitted. I'll post some better pics on the weekend.

  10. What was on the checklist for these club-registration inspections? Are they similar to roadworthy inspections? JohnH
  11. You could drive it. Cost for a car on the Spirit of Tasmania is $75, add $97 for your ticket and that gets you to Melbourne. Add whatever air fare to Hobart costs plus fuel for the return drive from Melb to Sydney. JH
  12. I got these off eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com....=item53dd1a69f2 They seem OK and delivery was fast. JH
  13. I've got some you can borrow, JH
  14. Noticed this, http://www.skylinesa...-clean-up-sale/ Scroll right down to the last line. JohnH

    Honda Accord

Sent a PM for you. JH
  16. Tell them what an excellent machine an MR30 sedan is; more technically advanced than a C210 and with such appealing lines. The 3 speed auto is especially rare and a silver (correction platinum) one with genuine scratches and fewer than 5 previous owners is rarer still. For $25000 (AUD not USD!) I'll throw in a spare engine, trans and even the dizzy that Dennis sent (which has great sentimental value). JH
  17. 4500 Kuwaiti dinars = 15 450.5559 Australian dollars according to google anyway.
  18. Still here. R30 being used as a daily at the moment and running fine. JH

  20. Hi Socrates, I suspect the fuel filter was the main problem. The throttle body was very dirty so cleaning that must have helped. As for the AFM, it was reasonably clean but I also cleaned up the electrical plug and connectors. The problem with EFI is that a fault in any one of the sensors, relays, connectors (or an air leak!) can cause problems or stop the engine from running. I collected a set of relays off a wreck today - just in case (!). I probably need more testing tools, a fuel pressure gauge would be useful - for a while I thought that the fuel pump wasn't delivering enough fuel. JH
  21. That did the trick (plus a new fuel filter). Back on the road. Thanks for all the replies. JH
  22. Found a pic of it.
  23. There was one a local wreckers a year ago and some of the bonnet frame had been cut to clear the engine. JH
  24. Thanks Andrew, I'll unclip the cold start injector and test your theory. Is it likely that all the injectors would gum up? Maybe the relay is faulty. @Peter, I think the dizzy/ignitor is OK. It's the 'newest' component on the car.
  25. Hi, The R30 has been sitting in the yard for two weeks. Usually it starts first time, even after many weeks, however now it fires for a second or two and then dies. After that nothing, the engine just turns over. If I wait a minute, switch ignition off and then try again, it does the same thing, fires for a second then dies. I can hear the fuel pump priming. There's fuel in the tank and the fuel filter is full of fuel so the fuel pump is working. There must be some spark because it does fire briefly. Coil is new, and the new coil gives same symptoms as the old coil. No obvious leaks anywhere, battery is fully charged. I recently replaced the temperature sensor and cold start valve (with parts from wreckers) and car was running well when last used. Any thoughts on what to check next? JH
