  1. Anyone know what this oil gallery is for, goes from the oil pump to the top of the block into the head, is it a feed or return? Cheers

  6. So I took out the 3mm restrictor off the line that goes to the turbo intake & it's not blocking smoke so that's a start will keep an eye on passing oil into the catch can
  7. It's on the hot side around 30mm below the top of the sump. I had to change my turbo drain line as it was f**ked so got a new one made to suit without the T
  8. 2 rocket covers go to the top of the catch can, then I have 1 on the side towards the top going to the turbo intake pipe. Drain I have a fitting on the sump. Previously before the freshen up I had it T into the turbo return line on the block & wasn't having this issue
  9. Hey guys just had my rb30 bottom end freshened up 2 weeks ago, it's all run-in now with fresh penrite hpr10 (15w50) now the issue is oil pushing into my catch can when boosting/high rpm. I have a 1.5mm restrictor in the block & the back one blocked off. I had my catch can draining back to the sump with the 2 the rocket cover lines going into the catch can & another line going to the turbo intake with a 3mm restrictor, when I had this set up it was blowing ashit load of smoke so I've not blocked the line off to the turbo into & run the catch can oil drain into a bottle to catch any excess oil but it's pushing it out hard & making a oily mess. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Done a comp test & it's all within 130-150PSI
  10. Searched around but can't seem to find any solid answered I'm using stock rb30 conrods with ARP bolts/nuts (5/16") anyone know the torque settings for them? Cheers

  13. ok makes sense now! although all my other 4 rods have the same numbers stamped on them as the bottom rod (1) does this matter? basically so if i pick up another rod from another engine it will be fine to run with my other rods yeah?

Hey guys I sprung 1 main & rod bearing in my s2 rb30 so looking to replace them as they have heat damage Now I've found afew rods to replace but they have different numbers stamped on the side of the rods, is there any difference between turbo & non turbo rods? Can anyone tell me what my rods are in the picture attracted? Also can anyone tell me what my pistons are in the picture attached to please? Cheers
  15. Yes 2x2mm restrictors It's a s2 hydraulic head N1 oil pump with spool billet gears
  16. I don't have half inch hose. It's -10, my catch can in plumed back into the sump so I thought I'd put a restrictor inline to stop it pulling oil from the catch can as it drops down from the top lines. & I've read heaps of pages & couldn't find anything hence why I posted didn't know it was gonna be a big issue posting lol

Hey guys I've got an rb25/30det making around 400hp atm having issues with the oil flow I pulled the head off & measured the restrictors they seem to both be 2mm I'm running an N1 oil pump with spool billet gears getting 3bar pressure on idle now on hight revs I'm getting more then normal oil into the turbo intake pulled through from my catch can, I've put a 3mm restrictor on the like that runs to the turbo intake but it's still pulling oil through. What block restrictors would be the best to use in my application? Cheers
  18. Shit should of said this first haha It's an rb25/30 making 400hp at the moment but will prob only be chasing around 550hp max out of this engine. It's all been balanced hence why I wanna keep this crank.
