Ice (audio Video Project) For My M35
Houdini replied to Houdini's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The project is finiched, well this part anyway. I have more plans but this will get me out of trouble. Iphone has a custom connector/dock in the front ashtray, TV tuner fitted and working fine , extra Video out cable fitted to rear of centre console so I can plug in another screen for the back seats. The Iphone sends video to the screen and audio through the stereo so I can listen to my MP3's or have a music video going, or put on Toy Story for the little fella. I'll have to make some time later to take some decent pics, here's one for starters. -
I think this guy has bought it from the auction. He probably got it for $1000 and now wants to make some $'s on fleabay.

I really want one, I'm guessing we'd have to get them from Japan:

WHEELS: * 20x8 * 5x114.3 * OFFSET +35 TYRES: * NANKANG 245/35's

Yeah but I think everyone should just look away now....no one show any interest OK Seriously though I agree, buy it and strip some bits off and sell the rest. No way I'dbe looking at fixing it - Mega bucks! The insurer already wrote it off as having what, $20,000 + worth of damage?

It's been marked as special for Andy. So you'd have this Russian woman's voice fire up every time you started the car saying "Thanks for turning me on Andy."

Group buy and then split the pieces up? I love that he says you can repair the front bar haha

Just to clear up some mis-information. There are some ADR's and registration legislation that doesn't allow a VDU (Visual Display Unit) to function while driving. You could get a defect if you can't prove it cannot display a picture while the handbrake is off. The exception and this is straight out of the ADR's etc is that you can have a VDU visible to the driver while driving if it is or is part of a GPS system.

Need to buy one immediately. It's Mercedes style on Nissan budget

I haven't even had a chance to look down at the gauge yet while I've got the foot planted so I've no idea what I'm boosting. Glad you got your boost back!

Thought I had the only Silver M35 in Canberra , oh well there goes my advantage.

Crap, got caught up, otherwise would have turned up. Next week?

I agree with what's being said about hacking/piracy. That said though if they've indeed got it all translated (do we know if it's done?) then what's the hold up with selling it? There's no software company known that would hold a release on security grounds like this: everything is hackable and the best way to maximise your returns is to not stuff your customers around by making them wait 2 years! Instead you sell the disks to as many as you can for $100 and beat the copiers by simply having lots of them sold before they get pirated.

+1 for Alex at Nagoya. Really helpful guy and willing to go the extra mile for you.

Badges, We Don't Need No Stinkin Badges, Or Do We?

Can't edit the post. The custom mount for the iPhone is going to work well, it'll fit in the ashtray and so it gets the stealth factor. I pop open the ashtray and pop in the iPhone and get video and audio through the screen and stereo I'm getting an RCA video out plug mounted in the rear of the centre console as well so I can hook up a secondary screen at my leisure. -
What Sort Of Horn Does The Stagea Have?
Houdini replied to Houdini's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Haha Thing is shouldn't they be rear mounted? I mean they're so potent that when I blow them it slows the car.... -
I pulled the grill off today and noticed two thumping great PIAA horns. I assume this is aftermarket.

Badges, We Don't Need No Stinkin Badges, Or Do We?
Houdini replied to Houdini's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Yeah not my car pictured unfortunately. The front grill comes off by popping out a couple of plugs and popping a couple of clips. First problem I've got now though is that the nissan badge is huge and sits in a circle which is part of the grill, so the infinity badge is too small. New grill only option. -

LOL, very funny! -
Very cool wheels. Dumb question I know but will they fit a M35 Stagea? I am so lost when it comes to freakin offsets and all that stuff. I intend to get R34 calipers fitted at some stage so apparently the wheels need to have enough space for the bigger units (that's everything I know about brakes and wheels right there). If they'll fit a Stagea and you're open to a bit of negotiation (I'm Canb) then we could talk.

Ok, The awesome Muz has supplied me with some badges for the Stagea and since I can't seem to source a new axis style front grill for love nor money, I've decided to start mucking about with the badges anyway. I have on the car: standard nissan front grill and rear hatch Stagea on rear 250t RS and Four on rear hatch. I have in my hands: 2 X Infinity badges (front grill style and I assume rear hatch - both same size and about the size of the Nissan front one) INFINITY lettering M35 badge So here's what I'm currently thinking: Front grill: Infinity badge Rear: Stagea on left, Infintiy letters across the middle and M35 on the right. A bit like this but with the add ons. What does everyone think? Placement opinions? usage opinions?

That grill is cool, but the wheels are awesome! I'm starting to think I will need to pick something up myself when I go to Japan later in the year - might be the easiest way.

Ice (audio Video Project) For My M35

This thread will contain all my adventures in the setting up of my on the move entertainment solution for my M35 Stagea. The beginning. I tooled around the forum for ages, looking at Stageas and V35's. I met with Andy (cheers again) and saw his setup. I swapped emails with Chris and Chook. Then developed a plan. Bought the TV tuner form Chook, the lead/adapter from Chris, steering wheel controls from Chris and also got a recommendation for an awesome local installer. I'm reasonably handy when it comes to mucking about with basic ICE setups but I'll need an installer for this as I want some custom made bits. I liked the ipod setups I'd seen but also fancied a carputer. The I decided I could have both and swapped the Nokia for an iPhone. So the setup will go like this: OEM stereo for CD's and radio - like the idea of OEM and steering wheel controls Working TV tuner with AV inputs which will also feed the iphone and reversing camera to the OEM screen. Iphone will provide phone, music, videos and GPS and also email and web on the move, all visible on the OEM screen. I am having a custom dock solution made which will replace the ashtray and having the TV tuner remote integrated into the dash.
