It's got a nice tone, real V6ie sort of noise, actually same as the big apexi but quieter. I was told it was legal ( < 95 Db's) ...and it indeed passed rego inspection yesterday. It still sounds nice, actually I can hear my turbo and intake sucking air more clearly now and the BOV sounds louder too

my tripcomputer thingmee says I'mgoing to get 440km's around town or something, does seem thirsty! I'm confused by the whole km's per litre thing so i'm doing my own recording on an iphone app and I'll be able to work out the exact mileage I'm getting so I can see if there's something wrong (o2 sensor or anything)

There are lots of docks available. I found them all while looking for my solution. In the end the boys here ordered a cable form Melb so I didn't need to get one from overseas like I thought. The cable I got will also charge the phone as that was important to me (being a phone and all). I beleive it is universal and will work with all ipods. The cheaper ones don't charge. I went with the cable becuase I got them to build a dock in the ashtray but Andy bought himself a nice dock that doesn't require any fitted attaching to anything (just clips on) - he's using a similar cable to mine.

+1.There's a lot of people on here keen. I'm not sure the Nav and maps will ever work though as the system fundamentally is Japanese. It'd be huge work to flash the firmware to get it to use a whole new nav system with aussie maps, effectively this is redoing the whole thing! But it shouldn't be a lot of work to flash for english language on things at the least, menus etc. Lots of us would be happy with just that I reckon.

Agreed, my bad not being clearer in the post: the system is 2.5 from the turbo to the mid (only cat conv) and then bigger to the rear muffler. The guys at powatone said your basically onyl as good as your smallest but so it was pointless doing a bigger pipe to the new rear muffler as the front 2.5 was restricting it. The new rear muffler has 2.5 in and twin 2.5 out.To get a 3+ inch was going to be more expensive (heaps) and take ages to get in whereas the unit they had was in stock and cheap. I'm taking the advice of the experts here in them saying that I'm not getting any reduced flow doing it this way but saving some $'s until I get my whole mandrel bent 3.5 inch system. Am I wrong?

dunno much about this suspension, is it good? Good company? I'm after doing the brakes and suspension as my first two big things so I'll certainly register my interest and do alittle more reading.

Funny thing is (well not so funny): the car has a big 4-5 inch rear tip and 3 inch piping but only to the quite small cat in the middle.In front of that to the first cat is only 2.5 inch piping. I'm going to run new 2.5 inch to a new twin rear muffler until I can afford a nice legalis or something.

The exhaust is coming off! I've never really liked the big canon style so I'm getting a nice twin pipe custom setup fitted on friday. The apexi N1 is a nice unit but too loud and too loud looking! I'll probably put it up for sale here on the forums (know someone who'll call dibs ).

Well it was all yesterday but man what a trip to Fyshwick! Saw: White Silvia broken down on side of parks way (Spec?) R33 on the way in to Fysh The Grey R35 outside bike shop (noice) on Newcastle matte black primer 300zx with funky LED round tail lights and big exhaust near bunnings White 34, big exhaust near Jammo edit: oh yeah and the house f the twin sklines near Jammo with the black and the white one both parked there

Maybe a newbie question but a search didn't turn up anything useful: How do you change the oarking light globe? I had a dig around and it looks as though I either have to pull off the whole front bar or pull out the plastic guard liner just to get at the globe holder? Is there an easier way?
