SydneyKid made a good suggestion to me once - attached the clip to the boss that the knock sensor screws into. It makes sense - its right near the combustion chamber which is where knock occurs.

It used to use a type R manifold - shorter, fatter runners (I think its tuned for 9000ish) Makes a diff when you run 300+ degree cams...

Its never used a stock inlet manifold.... DUH

Yeah - this shows how good your knowledge of turbocharging is! Car still runs a high CR (9.4:1) This thing has a powerband that is over 5000rpm wide - no boost drop off between changes at all. Similar power delivery to an RB26 with a big single. James originally built his car to Hypertunes specs, his engine build was based on this car. This little civic is running on a 6 year old bottom end (been over 320kw at the wheels for this length of time too) and is still going strong!

In short, Yes - according to the Bosch Automotive handbook AFR's richer than 10.5:1 increases detonation. Cheers, Matt PS - I shall try to find a reference.

One thing people tend to overlook is that its the hottest cylinder as well - this causes leaness as well

Funnily enough, the output of an oxygen sensor has jack shit to do with RPM. Its output depends on the oxygen content of the exhaust gasses (which is why its called an OXYGEN sensor, not an RPM sensor)

Having to pull out heaps of timing indicates that you have a backpressure problem.. Check blocked cat, Turbine A/R and all the usuals.

Just double checked WSID website.. the date now says 21st.. Its not exactly obvious though

How are we going to know if the event is on sunday or not if the sport compact f**kwits dont put any info up on their website about cancellations/postponements? Same for WSID website....
