  1. I got a couple... 1 - Got pulled over in Northbridge, breatho'd and blew a number exteeeeemly close to illegal. The Senior Constable asks where I am off to then escorts me all the way to my mates place in Rivervale. 2 - Back in the day, when I was on P's, knocked off work at a restaraunt in Mandurah. Between town and home (6 minute drive on the speed limit with green lights, I was pulled over 4 times by different cops. Nothing happened. 3 - Driving home from the airport, had a drink with the boys at the pub then proceeded down the freeway towards mandurah. Between Rocko and Mandurah got lit up with the old red and blue. Pulled over and had the usual questions, answered all truthfully and spoke respectfully. Ended up with the cops telling me my tail light was broken, rims were illegal as were my steering wheel and pedals. They let me off and wished me a safe drive home. Lucky I wasnt in the 33 at the time. Lastly, doing 5 km over in my work car (mine spec toyota hilux 10,000km on the clock) got pulled over and fined $50. I was in the middle of nowhere and hadnt seen a car for an hour. I dont get it sometimes, but I dont complain either. Blinky
  2. Just give me a Suburb or post code, I can find him from there.... When I was at the RTA the lady showed me the screen but covered the names, only showed me the plates that were gone.
  3. Hi Everyone I am starting to look at ideas for plates for my 33 and have settled on a choice. However, my first choice is already taken by someone else. I am hoping to find the owner of the plates worded "BLINKY" as a last ditch effort to have my first choice. If not I will settle on my second choice. If anyone knows the guy who has these plates please PM me and I will give my details. I really want these plates so hopefully he is keen to sell them to me. Cheers Blinky
  4. "I'm Stock" Piss Funny, and worth the use of the work computer. Blinky
  5. The Mitsubishi Evo comes out with a side mounted license plate as standard. Maybe look into getting one of those mounts.
  6. Hi Everyone The Brother in Law and I are looking at travelling over to Adelaide next year for the "Skyline Nationals". We are going to road trip it over so we can show off our cars and have a bit of fun. I am also looking for other people who are genuinly interested in joining the convoy to attend the show. The event is running from the 10th to the 13th September 2010 plus travel time so you might need to book holidays. At this stage I am only looking for interest levels and not confirmations of joining. If the interest is good then I will do some leg work and organise the trip. Cheers Blinky!!
  7. I had the same problem with my Mitsi a while back. I ended up going to a Lock and Safe shop in Bunno (probably out of your way) but they did a fantastic job and I then had the keys coded by Mitsubishi. Your best bet is a lock and safe shop or maybe a jeweller to try and clean up the dodgy work that the last guy did. Blinky
  8. Hi Guys I will be selling the M spec Front, sides and rear set that I have. Hopefully as a whole set or individually if people only want certain pieces. I will post and let you know once I have set a price. Just to get this out of the way now, "This is a private sale and is not affiliated with SAUWA in any way" Cheers Blinky Pictures are coming.
  9. I work away so when I get home next week I will get something together and PM you. Maybe sooner if my bro in law helps out and emails me a picture. Will let you know.
  10. What have you got? S1 or S2??? I have a whole series 1 Mspec set at home (white). Might be able to sort out a borrow or buy.
  11. Ok I checked out the DPI web site and then the link you gave me. To be honest it doesnt look that complicated. Work out what I want to do, apply for the approval and get it, do the work, have it inspected and passed, drive with permits to flash at cops. Sound about right???
  12. Looks like I have a bit of paper work to do then. I am looking at either a dirty 30 or RB26 swap to replace the current RB25. Thats the only mod I think I would need a permit for, the rest is cosmetic, ie, boot, bigger rims etc...
  13. Hi Everyone. Starting the planning phase of an R33 upgrade, and need to know some legalities. How do permits get obtained, what permits are required and how closely to the cops look at permits. I am looking to build a serious drive car but don't want to be yellowed every time I head down the road. Let me know of your experiences or share your knowledge in this area please. Cheers Blinky
  14. I don't think the mandurah cops have heard the news. I just flew into perth, picked up my bunky lancer, the one with the loud exhaust, banged up panels and busted tail lights and proceded to belt past a highway patrol cop near Halls Head (Mandurah) on the bypass road. Easily doin 100kph in a 70 zone and nothin happened. 3 cars followed me around as we sped off. Maybe I got him on shift change or he couldnt be bothered writing up all the shit that was wrong with my car. Perhaps itd be a different story if I was in my 33 doin the same thing...
  15. You guys all make owning a skyline sound expensive and crazy. I Got... R33 - 15k Insurance - $800 per year / $250 excess (Shannon's) If you need repairs, ask Dad for a loan, get a second job or sell it. Simple, by it, insure it (comprehensive) and drive it. Do it mate, your only young once. Blinky
  16. Hi Gang What about the "Apexi Power FC" unit??? Doesnt this override the R33 motherboard, allowing the Speed limiter to be taken off and also allowing higher performance tuning. Admitted, it is more expensive than NISTUNE but for all the 33 owners who want serios performance an play power this might be the way to go. I dunno, this is what I have heard and have been kind of looking into for my R33 Blinky
  17. Hi Guys In Bunbury early last year the Police did a big push on the "Photo Recognition" of plates and vehicles. They went around and took lot's of data from heaps of cars. Maybe this new vehicle set up is a cross between a laser camera and a photo recognition system that is designed to monitor speed aswell as keep unlicensed or whatever cars off the road. Not condoning it but it seems like we are going into a new era of driving. Might have to look into phantom plates, hide aways or even a jammer like people have previously mentioned if you are addicted to the speed frenzy. Blinky
  18. If your in the Bunno area you may already know the car. It's a white R33, JDM styling, silver carbon bonnet, used to have IMPRSV on the plates...
  19. Yeah my Bro will be a huge help as it was his car to start with and he knows it inside and out. One of our common mates Nick has an Impul and is pretty handy when it comes to electrics and another mate Rod has built that many cars it's not funny. Plus he has experience working at performance centres around Oz so is pretty tuned into the import scene. All in all, I think I am in good company. Plus all the advice I could get from on here is gonna be huge. Not long till the dream is unbridled against some bogan in a Ford!!
  20. 500hp will simply be a bonus when I get it to 400hp. As for the missus... well she doesn't exist so I wont have a jealous partner to worry about. Work wise, most of the turbo upgrades and tuning will be done at a workshop, CRED or XSPEED, but things like coil overs, air intakes etc.. will be done at home.
  21. Hi everyone I'm new on here, just about to get my hands on an R33 GTS-T (from my bro-in-law) My plan is to make it into a 400rwhp drive car. I will post pics and plate id soon as I have it on the road in my name. Also will register here and sticker up so you can say hi. Bunbury area but often in Perth. Cya - Blinky
  22. I have ridden in this car, you cannot relate anything you have been in to the style and sex appeal of this ride. Good Buy Bro!!
