Stock arms as far as I know, the bushs arent stock, but that was changed wtih the suspension a few months ago and hasnt made the noise before.

Driving home from work tonight, the GTR started making a noise I havent heard before. From inside it sounds to be coming from the rear of the car like the exhaust is slightly bouncing up and down knocking into the metal frame. It only occurs while decelerating but its repetition is timed with the speed of the car so the faster I'm going the more often the noise goes. Almost like something builds up momentum and bounces up and down. It may also occur over bumps but the R33 is so loud I cant quite tell (and my hearing is subject to the placebo effect). The noise does not occur while accelerating or under brakes, gears and clutch position were irrelevant. I jacked it up and started wobbling things trying to work it out but haven't found anything obvious enough to trigger my limited mechanical skills. Looked in the wheel arches for anything rubbing or stuck to the wheels but no. Checked all fluids levels were ok, nothing leaking (except airconditioning condensation), no eccesive knocking showing on the powerfc... It's loud enough to concern me, I'm sure people driving next to me can hear it. Any ideas?

Stock suspension off a 70k km R33 GTR. Good working condition except front-right shock which was leaking. $50 pickup only, semaphore or norwood.

Had a new Exergy HD clutch fitted todayby Sinergy motorsport, looks like they did a good job. Where most other workshops couldnt accomodate me at such short notice they had the part shipped and installed within 3 days, only left my car at the shop for a few hours. Price for install was the nicer side of $400 as other posts had suggested it should be. Cheers Kim for the recomendation, and to everyone else that posted - I really appreciate the help. Only stalled it 4 times on the way home too

Wow. Awesome advice. 2 hours you say? Hmm I was advised 5 by my usual workshop... 280awkw currently. I thought organic as its my daily and didnt want something too "grabby" in heavy traffic. I would like to occasionally dump it from high revs but is really not essential. I tractor round Mallala about once a month so it does need to handle that. I looked at Xtreme as the other options, didnt realise it was made in Aus which I would prefer. Why wouldn't you go Xtreme again Steve? Nice price on the twin plate exedy, would be great to race with. There is some work to do tomorrow I think

After my last track day my clutch is slipping so bad I can't rev over 3k rpm without losing all power to the wheels. Which isn't great timing considering the private track day we have in a couple of weeks. Was going to get a Exedy HD Organic kit (part NSK-7172 SC) to replace my stocko but I'm having some trouble finding a reputable installer. So far just for the part I have been quoted from ~$800 up to $1650! Installation pricing has been likewise BS >.< Anyway I need some advice on an installer. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated, PM if the reponse is going to violate forum rules obviously. I dont mind travelling anywhere in Adelaide if the job is done right.

Great work Kim. My full payment has been made. Will even try not to tractor it this time
-
OK full payment made. I'm with a credit union so may take a couple of days for the funds to clear. No more sand though this time

Less people is worth the small cost saving IMO. Grip practice is on this weekend too if you wanna enjoy 25 people trying to kill themselves at the same time I'll be there for that too
-
I'm there, put me down for a spot for sure. At mallala I assume!? unless you sprung a new track up somewhere How much track time are we talking? My boss books out the track reguarly and they get the whole day just to their attendees so I assume this will be similar?

Not necesarily, the computer just needs a voltage input which theoretically could be from any source - not sure what else would go wrong though... Is all beyond my skills to be honest but would be interesting to find the answer either way.

Hows your electrical skills? She could be a 4wd for the day http://autospeed.com.au/cms/title_Godzilla...53/article.html

My front right shock is gone so I will have to give this one a miss. Not to mention I'm gonna be falling from the sky at 200kph while the race is going Fabs, check out the info from one of the other Mallala prac day threads E.g http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ma...y-t264900.html#
