  2. [Copied from one of my previous posts] As far as I know; Series 1 ECR33 - External Coil Ignitor, Series 1 Push-Type Gearbox Series 1.5 ECR33 - In-line Coil Ignitor, Revised Cylinder Head, Series 1 Push-Type Gearbox Series 2 ECR33 - In-line Coil Ignitor, Revised Cylinder Head, Series 2 Pull-Type Gearbox Plus obviously all the other minor cosmetic updates between all the series changes. I believe the Series 2 also had a larger and more reliable oil pump drive collar as well. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.

Spotted a Gunmetal Grey BNR32 sitting on what looked like black or darkish looking wheels, maybe TE37's(???) along Montague Street about 6pm tonight. Good fitment, looked clean as. I just finished work so was heading towards the westgate on the way home back to Geelong and you were headed in the opposite direction but either stopped at the lights or just stuck in traffic. Sorry, forgot to beep/wave. I also spot the random S13/S14's and other various Nissan imports on a daily basis whilst heading to and from work but most of them are just meh. So I normally only post up the spots that stand out and are worth posting.

Was it black? Could've been the same one I saw. Was spotted a few times last night at various locations... It definitely gets around

Spotted SXCGTR (Black BNR34) along Ballarat Road (Braybrook/Maidstone) roughly 8:30pm last night. Looked absolutely menacing! Followed each other until we reached the corner of Hampstead Road and Mitchell Street, I went straight as we were heading to Los Latinos for dinner and he turned down Hampstead. If you're on here, I was the white S15. Your car looks and sounds freakin' tough!

Clean silver V35 350GT with white-on-black personalised plates drove past my car around midday today which was parked along Coventry Street, Sth Melb. Had to park in the 45deg angled park all day for around $9 because for the life of me I can't seem to find decent (free) all day parking around that particular area. Yesterday I couldn't find a spot at all so I had to use the underground secure car park which cost me $25 for 4 hours! Cops were everywhere again all day today... It's just going to be a matter of time before I get pulled over again, I can already see it.

Also forgot to mention one more. Last one I promise! I spotted GDZGTR again (actually driving this time, lol. normally I always see it sitting stationary) on the same street in Epping that my mrs lives on when I dropped her off tonight. If you're on here mate I was gonna give you a beep but had already gone too far. I was the white S15 btw. If I see you around again I'll give you a beep/wave .

Spotted quite a few cars all day today. Cops were also out in force. I've been seeing them roaming the roads a lot lately. Everytime I notice red and blue lights behind me I automatically think it's going to be me that they're chasing but every time it happens they always approach the rear of my car slowly and stay behing me for like a minute or so then speed off at like 150kp/h in the right lane again. Red R34 GT-t along the Princes Fwy on the way to work in the morning whilst caught up in the traffic jam, then a white R32 GTS-t, Silver Evo 7 or 8 and another R34 this time in white all driving along Claredon Street throughout various times of the day. At the end of the day on Cooper Street, Epping I was driving alongside a white R33 GTS-t for a while before I turned off back on to the ring road (god, I miss having an RB), then caught glimpse of a black S15 ADM GT-Spec weaving through traffic along the Western Ring Road around the northern parts, also spotted a white FC RX7 sitting low with awesome looking stance (great fitment) and finally a red S15 Spec-R also along the Princes Fwy as I was approaching Geelong. Hang on, one more... black R34 GT-t (I think) with ?chromies?! whilst I was turning right to head back home at the interection after I reached the end of the freeway, he was turning left into the small shopping centre complex. Phew! Tomorrow, a new day of spotting begins again.

  12. Haha, I love it when retailers will firstly always try and blame the buyer or installation to try and cover their own arses. Whatever happened to good old decent customer service these days...
  13. Just got off the phone from another company. He quoted me $150 per rim to repair. So basically only $30 cheaper than the previous quote but I have to drive the car there or drop the rim/s off to his workshop. At least it's getting a bit cheaper... I can't seem to find very many places around Melbourne that does these sort of repairs. Maybe I should not worry about it right now and just live with the gutter marks for the time being. Then if and when I curb another gutter I'll get it repaired when the damage is more severe so the price will seem more worthwhile.
  14. I had 18x10+18 on the rear of my old HCR32 and with 245/40 tyres, all they needed was a quick guard roll and a slight flare to make it all fit. They didn't stick out too badly either. On the fronts I used to run 18x9+20 but with 235/40 tyres and had minimal issues with tyre scraping. Not sure how you will go about fitting 18x10+18 rims to the fronts however. And especially with 265 tyres you will probably run into major guard scraping issues whilst turning or even close to full lock. You may have to go with slightly stretched tyres for better front fitment (maybe 245/40 or something) along with -2/3deg camber. They would look seriously tough though! Post up some pics once you've fitted them. Here's how they used to look on my 32...
  15. Yeah, I'll do some more more searching soon. I'll be happy if I can get away with paying around $150 for both rims to be repaired. I think that would be quite a reasonable price. Cheers mate.
  16. They're an awesome turbo but hell expensive though.
  17. I'll try getting through to some other repairers throughout the week. I tried calling too late today and most of them were already closed. I think this guy is expensive purely because he comes out to you where ever you are in Melbourne. Assuming I can find another company that will perform the same type of repair in-house if I drop off my car or rims directly to them then no doubt it would be much cheaper.
  18. Save up and get the most expensive things first then the cheaper items will seem like nothing when it comes time to purchase them. All depends on how much money you have or how quickly you can save. I normally save up the entire lot for all the parts needed then buy everything all at once to save on staggered delivery/waiting times and once I have everything sitting there I start saving again for the amount of labour it's gonna cost me to get everything done and tuned.
  19. Yeah I know. Sometimes I think I have OCD or something when it comes to my car. It's really bad, lol. It was bound to happen sooner or later anyway. No rims will stay in perfect nick forever so I was kinda expecting it. At least I went for 2 years without putting a single mark on them, fair effort in my opinion. My cousins brand new TE37's on his S14a was dinted and slightly gutter rashed only 3-4 weeks after he fitted them. He was absolutely pissed. You know what, if I was up in QLD I would take your suggestion and get it done through your guy in a heartbeat. Only problem is I don't really want to have to post the wheels up there (and also have to remove the tyres etc). I know it's cheap but it would seem like more trouble than what it's worth. The guy I spoke to will do it with the rim still on the car if the lip damage is only minor and cosmetic. It's now just a matter of whether I willing to pay him the $330 for both rims to repair some 2-4cm marks... Thanks for your suggestion though, much appreciated.
  20. I would honestly go with what R31Nismoid suggested and stick to around 270-280rwkw. Everyone I know of so far that has this type of power has done it reliably and mostly all daily driven. Bosch 040 in-tank pump, larger FMIC, Z32 AFM, 600cc/min injectors, electronic boost controller, GT3071R or even GTX3071R plus a good tune (can't stress this enough). Once you are at this level you might want to start thinking about upgrading your clutch soon after as well if it's due. You can also do little things like ceramic coat your dump/front pipes and possibly even the turbo exhaust housing to keep the engine bay heat and exhaust temps in check and possibly gain slightly more torque/power. A good quality alloy radiator wouldn't be a bad idea as well. That is just my preference. I prefer to take a more preventative approach to modifying nowadays as I've been through 3 engines and countless cooling and driveline issues with things breaking, overheating or wearing out etc etc so the way I see it is: it's better to be proactive rather than reactive once you start making decent power.
  21. Yeah Autometer is normally quite good. I'm actually using a mechanical Autometer boost gauge on my car at the moment and it's very accurate. Shame it's about to get ripped out though.
  22. Sorry, didn't see this. Yes it should revert back to +-0 when the ignition is off. If it sits on +15 then there definitely is a problem lol.
