Chris You seem to be the most informed on this subject, could you please e-mail me at [email protected] with whatever info you have, the main problems and anything else you feel may assist when I speak with my guy. When I talk to him I will ask if I can give you his number. I am still sceptical myself until I see it work, I want to take a drive to the coast next week and look at his 350gt and clarify the exact extent of his conversion and what does and doesn't work.

After my first conversation with him, my understanding is that he re-writes the whole thing and gets rid of all the stuff we don't need. This was always my logic on it, it is simply a computer which will do what ever you programme it to do. The screen is just a screen and the dash buttons are triggers, which are programmable. He apparently is contacting a friend in Japan regarding the NM35 system. Could all be a waste of time, just have to wait and see. Even if this guy isn't the man, I do believe re-writing is the solution.

Think I found some-one on the Gold Coast who can re-write the firmware on the NM35 for sat/nav. he has done it on a 2 x 350gt's. Am waiting for him to call me back, will know towards the end of next week.

Hmmm... dam it, I hope the GF doesn't exist because I have confirmed my order on the NF's and I believe it is to late to change. My wife will be happy because she doesn't want me to change anything on the car and the fact that NF means Normal Feeling is as close as I can get to making her happy about the coilovers.

Hicas is like a drunk stranger in the boot of you car with a steering wheel connected to the back wheels. You are never sure when they are going to turn, and when they do it feels like they have rolled into the wheel well.

Just to go back in time, did anything ever come of the swaybars for the NM35. was reading some old posts and thought I would like a set.

Tanabe in Japan asked if the car had Hicas, I bought from JDM Concept, he is the agent for Tanabe in Oz. My mechanic from Brisbane Turbo and Tuning said it is possible that some of the Hicas Mechs would be very close to an aftermarket coilover. He said depending on the Make and outside diameter of the coilover this could be a problem. By the way the Tanabe GF don't do a fitment for the NM35

Seems as though I got that wrong, the body kit was on the aero selection.

Seems as though the 250t with Hicas also had a bodykit, I have no body kit therefore I have no Hicas

Thanks, there is no light and nothing blocking the diff. Suspension and hubs all look ok. Don't think I have Hicas. Its like a disease

I have paid for them but the manufacturer came back to me asking if the car had Hicas or not. Apparently if you have Hicas on an NM35 there3 is a problem with the coilovers rubbing or touching some of the mechanics in some way. Any-one had any experience with this. There is no Hicas light on the dash, so I am assumng I don't have it. Not sure about other brands.

I was just about to buy a set of Tanabe Sustec Pro NF Coilovers. The supplier came back to me asking if I have Hicas or not, apparently if you have Hicas the coilovers can rub on some of the machs. I am still to establish wether or not I have Hicas or not, however I am under the impression that if the car has Hicas there is a dash light which will come on when you turn the ignition. There is no Hicas light on my dash, so unless the bulb has blown I am assuming I don't have it. I have had both gtst's and gtr's with Hicas, and there is always a dash light on ignition. Any-one had any experience with any of the above

Any-one had any success with the indash sat/nav on the nm35. Wondering if the car had been sold as new in any english speaking countries. If it was sold new in say America or New Zealand then there should be a replacement rom drive with english firmware. Kinda bugs me having things in the car that don't work.

Hi I just bought a set of Tanabe Sustec Pro NF for $1600 delivered to Brisbane. Got em from JDM Concept, they have them in Stock in Australia. Tokage Racing Imports on the Gold Coast have a set of HKS Hipermax LS+. Second hand but in excellent condition with no leaks or bends, $1800 delivered.

Thanks for the help, just picked up my MN35 in Sydney, fresh of the boat. Drove it back to Brisbane, great wagon, can't wait to spend some money on it. The first thing I am doing is the wheels and coil-overs. I have all the info on who makes them, but am trying to find a decent price. If any-one has any connections or advice on where to get a the best price on Tein or HKS it would be greatly appreciated. Could any-one also tell me how to get the auto gear knob of so I can remove the console. Also need to get the dash cover/trim of to remove the CD Player. I have had a look and it is not obvious and I don't want to damage anything. Thanks

Hi Any-one have any info on mod parts for the NM35. I am trying to find coilovers, intercooler kit, pod set-up, ecu, exhaust etc.
