  1. Here's what I found on the "new" R35 GTR. Of course, as everyone knows the stats and the body will probably not look like that when/if they go into production. Concept from Nissan Hey, Demon Dave when are you planning on going? My friend is coming in from the States at the end of Oct and we are planning on going on the 27th or 28th?
  2. Iridiums are BCPR6EIX Platinums are PFR6A of course, these are all NGK part #'s.
  3. BCPR6ES are pre-gapped to 0.8mm BCPR6ES-11 are pre-gapped to 1.1mm So, do yourself a favor if you're getting some and get the BCPR6ES so you don't have to gap them yourself. If you get the BCPR6ES-11's just get a gapping tool and gap them to 0.8mm.
  4. Me too but I always have the ngk website bookmarked: NGK heat range It's with the other brands that they do the opposite of NGK. I actually think NGK just does the opposite of everyone else just to confuse people.
  5. Seriously, I'll be ordering over the internet. So GTST, you went with "7's" since you went colder? I know NGK does it differently than others and the cold-hot is opposite. Higher number, colder the plug from NGK. I hate that when I'm ordering for my gsr because I normally get 2 steps colder.
  6. Thanks. I was checking those out and noticed that the BCPR6ES plugs were gapped at 0.08mm and the BCPR6ES-11 were gapped at 1.1mm (0.044"). I guess I'll be ordering a box today since I can get those for only about $3 plus shipping of course. I've checked local auto shops and they want $12-15 per plug.
  7. Thanks guys. I actually forget to say that it has a hks highflow filter but it was on there when I purchased it, not that it matters. As I said, I just plan on putting a greddy profec b and the i/c before I get my gtr. By the way, any suggestions on my plug situation. I'm fixing to order them. And yes, I have searched but still with so many opinions. What do you guys run on your gts'?
  8. Gradenko: Not too much since I'm just looking to learn how to work on the rb motors. I've already put a turbo timer and a hks exhaust on it. Looking for an intercooler and boost controller (probably greddy profec B). Changing the plugs soon but so many different opinions and I don't know what's in there right now. I checked the NGK catalog and it says 5 but then some people say 6. I don't know if to go platinum or iridium, heat range 5 or 6? I've searched many threads but still indecisive. Madgt4: Wow, that does sound pretty large? Are you going to have too much pressure loss in that i/c? I guess that depends how efficient it is. Steve: No, I'm not upgrading any turbos or anything. I'll probably be purchasing hks2530's from what I have read later for the R33gtr or R34gtr. Thanks for all the advice, I'm just looking to upgrade a little and learn on this car before I purchase my R33gtr or R34gtr next year. Anymore advice would be great. And yes, I haven't been posting much because I've been searching and reading through everything first.
  9. I've researched different sizes and brands of front mounts but I still have a question. Someone has a trust 410mm x 260mm x 70mm front mount with 60mm endtanks. Would this intercooler be large enough for my R32gts4? Modifications are only turbo timer and hks exhaust.
  10. I love my Greddy EGT on my turbo integra. I know it's off usually by a hundred or so degrees but it's better than nothing. The reason for this is because the indicator can not take readings as fast as the gases are coming out so you sometimes get a delayed response. I'm not sure which runner in skylines run the hottest but hondas tap into the 3rd runner usually. By the way, a friend had pretty much the same set up as me with an Autometer EGT and it took longer to read. I hooked it up to my car and the same thing happened. Good choice on the Greddy EGT. Good luck hooking it up. My EGT: Black = ground Red = constant White = light I think my EGT is about 2 years old though. Good luck.
  11. O.k., just purchased the car and I wanted to give the car an oil change. Problem came about as I tried to put the drain plug back in. The threads on the oil pan are stripped and have been stripped. Does anyone know of a drain plug repair kit that I may be able to purchase instead of buying a new pan? I checked auto parts stores but they don't have any. thanks, mls p.s. the oil filter is so 'easy' to replace. All the wires in front of the oil filter didn't help either.
  12. Yeah, that's what I told them because my civic lights hazed over and that's what I did but theirs were fogged on the inside. They cleaned the insides and resealed them but I don't think they sealed them correctly.
  13. The Series 1 front lights tend to haze over so that may just be a little reason to choose a Series 2 so you don't have to change your front lights out. I'm not sure if that's normal for 'all' Series 1's but a couple of my friends have had to change them out. Good luck.
  14. Actually, we were planning a trip to Australia/New Zealand in October but I think I would have problems taking it back through customs but it would be cheaper than shipping it. Is it really that much more to ship to a U.S. address or Japanese address? Man, Japan is not to far from Australia either but I understand all the taxes, insurance, and customs. I've been looking around Japan but everything is so expensive. I think I'm just looking in the wrong places. I need to get to know some people. :uh-huh:
  15. I'm new to this forum, just registered today but I have a .pdf for the r32gtr service maual. I've got it on my computer but nowhere to host it. The file is approximately 20mb's.
