    Dogs are much more social creatures I think and the pack mentality is in their ancestry; cats tend to be solo hunters like tigers (though lions do it in groups). From what I've seen in homes with multiple pets the dogs are always sticking together and watching what each other does, whilst multiple cats sort of do their own thing.

    Have lost four dogs at ripe old ages, gets harder the older you are cause you understand mortality a bit better and you have more time spent with them during important and memorable times of your life. Still have 3 alive dogs who will bring me that sadness again in the next 5-7 years. Damn you dog y u have such short life
