Extended cliffs:- pulled over on way to work a month ago - area is Knox / Scoresby / I'm fked - recognise officer from hwy patrol TV show - also recognise she's pulled me over / fined before - oh fk x 3 - your car is unregistered - what? - you sound surprised to hear this - gooby pls I always pay it and I haven't seen a letter from VicRoads saying it's due - bad luck, my partner and I were discussing it and we always remember to pay our registrations on time - letmetellyouwhythatisbullshit.jpg sorry officer but I have 3 sets of registrations and have always depended on the letters to tell me - bad luck here is $738 fine for rego being 6 days overdue, incidentally the cost of rego, also I can't let you drive any further unless you pay rego on the spot with a smart phone = enjoy $1500 worth of fees - pay rego while she watches - is it really necessary to give me a huge fine given it's pretty obvious I wasn't avoiding paying rego - bad luck we knox hwy patrol / is really dolan, take it up with civic compliance - call VicRoads ask wtf happened to my letter - VicRoads say we sent it out like 2 weeks ago dude - never got it...what about a reminder notice? - not til 2 weeks after it's due dude - thanks I guess - write long winded letter explaining situation to civic compliance, acknowledging fault but pleading for situation to be taken into account - official warning issued - Birds does dance - Birds unsure to be grateful of warning or ungrateful of fine that was result of system fail in the first place

It's all impatience and wanting now rather than waiting. Sure it's characteristic of the latest generation of 20 somethings, but they aren't all to blame. They developed that mindset from the environment they grew up in. They were raised by the generation who spoiled them and invented participation awards for fking up. The age of the internet also brought with it shorter waiting times and attention spans for everything - instant information, fast delivery of cheap goods with online shopping, cheaper goods and services, digital products that the generation before them didn't have access to and therefore couldn't blow their money on. Cost of living to average wage factor has also gone up over the years I believe. It's worse than just wanting the best housing as fast as possible with little work input; it's part of a greater trend and you can't just blame the kids when their parents raised them with these bullshit ideals. Though I do really wanna hit some of these kids in the face.

I'd like to blame idealistic freshman uni students having an opinion on something that doesn't affect them yet

It's also easier to tell people they are wrong than it is to prove them wrong.
-
People never want to be told they can't do something / don't have the right to, even if they know deep down they will never be able to. It could be the right to eat shit, if you take it away from the people they will be pissed.

That's pretty funny

What is the difference between a Pulsar and a Ford Probe? One is a slow fwd with a name that implies homosexual exploration of the anus The other is a Ford Probe
-
So that guy's thread was...a backdoor into backdooring to get into backdoor to backdoor racing? That's a lot of backdooring

Defamation = a falsehood If it's true and you can prove it, it's not defamation. But that's just the law...rules of SAU are a different ball game and just because it's legal to post a true story doesn't mean the mods will allow you to report your negative experience about a workshop because simply put, they don't know what's true or what's not and libel appearing on SAU can leave the forum's owner liable for prosecution should the stories/experiences turn out not be true...

The sound is better when driving it and knowing that it's running smooth and that it's not just the sound of a shifty engine, except that the EJ20 is a shitty engine As for Harley's, that's all about attention

IMO you shouldn't be able to open a bank account connected to existing accounts without your 100 points of ID in person or at least the SMS code auth system that netbank makes me do for new/unknown account transfers. Unfortunately with online banking systems and the way they are marketed these days, to be faster / more simple / easier and more secure, the former occasionally comes at a cost to the latter.
-
That's shithouse Pat Surprised you can open a new account online without all your details? Almost everything I do in netbank requires a passcode sent to my phone I also look over my transactions pretty regularly to make sure there are no suspicious direct debits etc. How'd you discover the fraud?
