  1. I'm building an engine with Chris soon and he doesn't like RB26/30s in GTRs. He may build an engine alone for you if that's all you want and you're adamant about going down that path, I think it's mostly the installation in GTR process he's not a fan of, but will prolly talk you into a stroker because he reckons they run smoother and produce much the same power as a dirty anyway. And yeah call any workshop about your plans before you buy your bits...some workshops, my former self included, don't like it when people just rock up with a mixture of self purchased parts and then expect it to gel together and some sort of warranty on top of that. A reputable engine builder will have played around with different parts and found what works best for them and what they build; I'd be going with stuff the builder recommends, even if you source it yourself. RacePace are pretty good on parts there's not much margin for it - worth it for me when you can leave it all in their hands and it's another build that they've done a hundred times before.
  2. Troll dad Also, get out of RacePace I need that spot
  3. I love the pain of foam rolling, like a deep tissue massage Never used to like being pushed and prodded in that way, used to hate massages too, but it makes the muscles and joints in the posterior chain feel so good after some tenderising and a few cracks
  4. I wonder how many are actually from drag races or drifting or burnouts or pod filters
  5. Out of the millions of drivers on the road, that's the road toll and we devote millions of dollars towards safety campaigns when a road toll is always going to happen State and local government = excuse to keep people in a job
  6. Congrats on 55kg bench
  7. That's what I mean, he'd get to 100 and hit 3rd, was a waste of a gear change
  8. Speaking of, very easily dispatched of an Evo 8 off the line today...where he really should have got me...instead he got bogged down off the line and if that happens it's all over for a 2 litre turbo AWD
  9. How much power you running? May have to swap for -5s, but I love response and will take it over outright power any day Also winning is winning haha
  10. For this reason I use BCP...my coilpack springs are a bit short and I had random non firing cylinder issues
  11. It is good and that's what I do with my rolling drags, dropping to 3rd at 80 is actually my favourite move! Closely followed by 2nd at 50 when approaching lights and they turn from red to green... lol my friend used to drop to second at 80
  12. High flow + E85 3rd is faster but there's plenty of gusto at ~2600rpm
  13. Coolant temp sensor all good? What temperature range plugs are you running? Stock coils?
  14. I suppose that's better than 6 year old size 20s
  15. I'm not the best example for economy simply because I race a lot / enjoy my car, and 80km/h is 4th gear territory for me (always like to have power on tap). So with that said, my daily driving is 17-18L/100km on E85. I fill up with about 52 litres (~$60 thanks to United's rip off pricing now) and that's usually just shy of 300km. Mind you, my fuel economy before that wasn't fantastic...about 400km to a tank on 98, with a pretty rich tune. I used to get 450 on the standard ECU with fresh O2 sensors. Have you changed them in your car? They make a hell of a difference if they are worn and you're running a closed loop tune.
  16. At this stage the 33 would hold it's value better
  17. Guess the beamer's gotta go then
  18. Also, for Hamish Spam sliders
  19. Do crashes necessitate a write off or can be a minor incident? Thefts: Ric Borci Birds Tony Alvin Crashes: Hamish's m8
  20. Come on brah, that shit is chump change to your VWLBC status these days...whack third party fire and theft on it and it'll make you appreciate the Beamer more as a comfortable daily. On a side note, I never appreciated my car more than when I had Alvin's auto as a daily driver. Daily and weekender is the way to go. You try to combine both and you're taking your compromise work chariot out for weekends = not the same.
  21. Everyone who sells or loses their 33 misses it and that's all the proof I need that keeping is a good idea. That and my drives home from work are always over 9000 The fun factor that can't be bought in a new car - it's the character of a cheap and over-engineered powerhouse coupe from the 90s, back when cars weren't all about emissions, people gave no fks for economy, and we didn't try to stuff infinite amounts of de-skilling electronics into a car. Suspect it also has something to do with giving stick to a car worth less than 10k, so you don't care as much about breaking it...even though you never do, because 33 GTS-Ts are bulletproof* *poles and thieves exempt
  22. My GTS-T is the best daily I've had. Occasionally wish it was more comfortable, but you can't have everything and the suspension/diff setup makes it such a confident and capable car to move around in - I feel safer driving it than brand new Commodores.
  23. Price drop to 7.5 http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454221-1997-nissan-r33-gts-t-coupe-sunroof-manual-standard-vic/ Ric this guy would take 7 easy #comehomeric
  24. subtle marriage to dezz
  25. There's a significant correlation between being good at computer games and buying a skyline and posting in vic wasteland
