Sounds exactly like my gym. Until now I'd been deadlifting in any open space I could find amongst the incline benches etc. Not all bad as you get to look good lifting heavy in front of people, but nothing beats a good platform and bar! I'm gonna look into seeing if I can get my gym to put up a members record board.

Must retract these commentsWhen they said the upgrades wouldn't affect the free weights area, it was a bit of a mistruth, as they have now created a second free weights area Basically a huge crossfit/lifting/kettlebell station ala my previous gym Complete with two deadlifting platforms, full size small plates and about 10 Ironedge squat and deadlift bars with some sweet, sweet knurling f**k yeah

Speaking of, my flamin mongrel of a friend came past on Sunday and saw my alcohol collection. He picks up my very full looking bottle of green Chartreuse and opens it to have a whiff. Then says oops sorry when he hears the first click of the seal breaking. Brand new bottle asshole. Not that if matters for a drink like Chartreuse but I've had that bottle for 6 years without opening it
