  1. That's very true and I will be using that line from now on instead of entering the special Olympics argument of actually trying to convince these stubborn assholes otherwise.
  2. I'll take responsibility for this one, Dan. Because I can take it. Because I'm not your hero. I'm a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.
  3. While we are on this topic, I'm sick of hearing people complain about how unfit or fat they are followed by "I don't have any time to exercise". This person has convinced themselves beyond reason that they are literally too busy in a 16 hour day to even go for a run; that there is no point in their day where they aren't doing something or couldn't push something aside for 10 minutes. Next day on their Facebook feed: omg Breaking Bad was so good lastnight!
  4. lol everyone loves to blame other people or society for their own shortcomings. See also: American legal system
  5. lol my mother told me I was too skinny in the waist the other day. Are people so used to the image of unfit and unhealthy people that it's become the norm and somewhat desirable...whilst a fit body appears to be the outcast? It must be steroids and a dangerous obsession, how else could they look better than me! Don't read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel guilty.
  6. overrate əʊvəˈreɪt/ verb past tense: overrated; past participle: overrated 1. have a higher opinion of (someone or something) than is deserved. "an overrated player" synonyms: assess too highly, overestimate, overvalue, rate/prize too highly, think too much of, exaggerate the worth of, attach too much importance to
  7. I see
  8. Really getting sick of seeing shitty journalists. How the fk do they get a job as a journalist when they can't even differentiate between "they're" and "their". That's grade 3 shit right there.
  9. Sucks to be you lot; I enjoy my $8 salt meal prepared in 3 minutes. Always hits the spot as an alternative to a greasy ass kebab or souvlaki. It's a frikken burger, why get snobby and hipster over it. Meat, cheese, bun, other shit.
  10. At 3am when I usually eat it, zero f**ks given for preservatives and all the f**ks given for taste.
  11. I eat burgers from McDonalds
  12. P.S. G510S keyboard is sick...gives me news on an LCD through an RSS feed lol
  13. Can't OC the CPU or RAM unless tampering with BCLK and then I'd see maybe 4ghz in the top end, but that's not really worth it. There's no need for games anyway. I'd only be touching the card clock, which I've done a bit of gaming with and it's never even felt warm. These cooler master cases aren't the prettiest, but they do have a fair bit of space inside, particularly around the GPU and CPU. Only area that gets crowded inside is the hard drive bays and power supply with the SATA cables. Being a modular PSU it's still pretty good. I should take a pic with the case cover off to show. There's actually a fan to the side of the mobo that is unplugged at the moment, because it's quite big/loud, so if temps get up I can switch that back on and should help.
  14. A few motoring magazines, who are usually all over the euro stuff, put the VE Calais on par with the much higher priced 5 series Beamer of the time. One thing that will be sorely missed is the reliability of these cars in our unique Australian conditions. Nothing else handled the test of time on our roads like the big Holdens and Fords. Everyone knows that XF Ute or the HQ that turned 750,000 kays before running on 7 cylinders and continuing for another 200,000. My Skyline goes to 5 cylinders and has a heart attack!
  15. P.S. SSD is great, though I have a shitty basis for comparison, given my previous computer was an 8 year old Dell laptop...
  16. Think you're forgetting I have 3 windforce fans Haha nah fair warning. I won't be going nuts on it, but a little boost shouldn't hurt. 1250mhz is also only 50 more than Gigabyte have boost clock set to.
  17. It's not defamation if it's true hahaha. Emails are great. "Talk about my company and I will sue you. That's not a threat." No, not at all. I think we know who was behind the PM threat...
  18. Yeah you can blame me for this. I told Christian to bring back a dark theme, so he gave us a compromise. Only way to get back to a useable theme, is to press the button at bottom which will switch to full mode, then switch back to mobile. It's white and bright, but better than the new dark.
  19. Globalisation...it's just taken a couple of decades to snowball and hit hard. We can regulate labour here, but we can't regulate it overseas. Local car industry is just the start of it. It was the first to go because it's the second most expensive purchase most people make; costs are amplified in every part of the manufacturing process. Housing industry isn't so bad because you can't import a house; it's locally labour intensive. Has still taken dents in materials though. Watch as every other locally manufactured industry collapses one by one, jobs along with it, as we choose cheaper and better value imports over local produce. Exact same mentality that ravages retail with online sales and imports: short term savings over long term future.
  20. Get an external for your media Comparing results in 3D mark, there are a few guys on there who have obtained 780 (and close to unclocked ti) performance, clocking their Gigabyte 770s to 1250mhz. Will give it a go in a couple weeks and see where it ends up. Mini ATX and their motherboards have come a long way, especially the latter, where features of larger boards are making their way onto a much smaller form factor. There's no reason you can't put a 780ti/Titan and an i7 in my case, with 16gb DDR and a 750w PSU, should your budget permit. I've got room for 3 hard drives and a DVD drive, which for most is plenty and there's always external media storage options.
  21. Pull-ups are a strange thing; one session you can make a pb, the next you can fall back by a rep, then the next you can break the old pb. I think body weight fluctuations have a fair bit to do with it, as does rest and a heap of other normal factors obviously. Regardless, I finally made the 20 tonight, so I'm wrapped! I'm tempted to switch to weighted, but for the effort involved and considering I'm seeing slow and steady success with this method...I think I should keep at it. See you soon, rev
  22. 0-100 in 4.6, that's a fast SUV! Not many new cars for that money that will give you similar performance, cept for maybe Leigh's.
  23. What'd it go for? Curious about depreciation cause they are pretty well priced new. Any euro equivalent would surely be 150k+ and lose you 50k after 2-3 years.
  24. Also hnnnnnnng
  25. 344kw /decision
