Rather be paranoid and injury free than a hero!

At a guess I would say that the Olympic bar, whilst easier to clean from the floor in the first place (both due to height and being able to pivot/rotate the bar during the clean), is less stable once overhead and therefore requires a bit more controlled stability from the shoulders than a fixed bar due to the movement of the bearings. A mate experienced the same issue when we got in new Ironedge bars for our benches...he really didn't like using these new bars because the bearings were so fresh that it made he bar feel less stable, requiring him to use stabilizing muscles he doesn't normally use during the bench press movement. If your shoulders are markedly sore and you are concerned, I would give them rest until they aren't. Then look at either returning to the overheads or building up stability as per what rev said. You won't lose much strength in rest time, shoulders retain their strength very well and are very quick to build it all back up again after long periods of rest. It's the hardest thing to do psychologically but you really have to focus on the long term here. Take it from anyone who has chronic shoulder injuries, they really inhibit your ability to do much else in the gym besides legs.

Oh and for the guy who was swapping in and out of passive mode to kill/troll people...I tried that...as soon as I disabled it I couldn't access weapon wheel for 10 seconds but the guy I was following could shoot me on foot. It must put you out of passive mode for other players straight away, but you have to wait. Also people with tanks are starting to get really annoying.

Yesterday online was full of Dubstas which are worth 7k a pop at LSC, so here's my garage full of Dubstas after I started collecting lol Everytime you log on, or every 48 minutes, if there are crap cars on the road, you can just take one of these babies down there for a quick 7k.

Dunno about the PS3 ones, but Xbox wireless mic is awesome. Has a big mute button on the side that you push and then no one can hear you rage. Will beep every 5 seconds to tell you it's in mute mode. Heaps better than the wired headset.

Wasn't really saying which one is better, just making a side note about how weird it is, as I have switched back and forth myself between types of bars. The fixed bars at my gym actually have a bit of length past the plates so you can actually slide some of the older (small holed) plates onto the end to increase their weight incrementally. This was useful when doing 60kg x 10, as the fixed bars only went to 50kg and I personally liked the non-movement of the plates/bearings when performing this exercise.

I wouldn't pull the rear ones off, as they do stop crap getting in the door sill, but the front are fine to clear out. My engine bay is far from filthy and I've had them removed for nearly 3 years. Have driven some dirty ass roads too. I believe it would happen on other cars, but the R33 Skyline is pretty insulated from crap getting in the engine bay that way. With that front guard lining removed, the worst you'll get is some dust on your intercooler piping and the loom inside the fender. I just couldn't be fked sorting out castor and all that jazz to stop tyres from slowly burning through the guard linings at deca etc. No more scrubs for me...I don't want no scrubs...

That change from fixed to Olympic is a strange one...but moreso the other way around when you are used to bearings spinning the weight around for you. If I can recommend, maybe try a warm up of 30kg x 10, 47.5 x 10 and then 50 of however many reps you can muster? Or add another set of 47.5 into your existing sets.

19 (hells yeah!) 13 12 11 11 Well my stamina has taken a bit of a dive since my overseas holiday and a nice bout of dengue fever. However, number 18 on the first set didn't use everything I had, so pushed (or pulled) hard for a 19th knowing it would likely screw me for the following sets...oh well...feels good to be one rep away from the goal. Should be in the 20s before the new year. It's funny that you can tell from the first few reps whether it's going to be a good set or not. You just feel extremely light and you know you're gonna break a pb. Kind of unique and unlike any other exercise because it's a static weight.

Take them out and be done with em, looks better anyway. Just keep em as spares in case cops have a problem with it.

Love it when places have employees with a reputation in communities. Like old Kumbak wreckers...

What do your weights, sets and reps look like for it? You know the rule...increase one of them!

:S

It shouldn't work for deadlifts because you're not supposed to be pushing with your legs throughout the lift. Deadlift is first and foremost a back exercise...lift with your back...if you bend and try to use your legs too much to "push away from the ground", it becomes a squat.

Do agree about conversation Troy, though I think a lot of that comes with confidence, as when you are totally confident in a situation you tend to be able to say and talk about anything. Though yes, some people are totally boring and couldn't strong a sentence together no matter how much confidence they have! You wanna know what's hard, doing both!

Troy is partially right. A truckload of confidence and a good body will net you the physical appeal of most females - certainly enough to not give a f**k about the rest of them, whom are usually lesbian or will secretly admit to / indulge in the appeal when no one else is around. "A good looking body is not what I want", said no attractive female ever. It's not a necessity but it never hurts your chances, unless you're over the top muscular...which a lot of guys do because they start off wanting to look good and then develop their own warped version of what looks good and forgetting their original goal.

Still better than a Bieber song

There a night where she doesn't?

Rajab would have them

Why is that surprising? Energy comes from calories; you increased your caloric intake and had more energy at your disposal during the workout Albeit an extreme example, there's a simple reason body builders go from this to this in their off season

I never have these no players or booted from game issues with Xbox Live jus sayin...I think their shit is much better set up for online than the PSN. Came across a guy with a rhino tank last night. The flamin mongrel was unstoppable...he killed everyone in the game about 5 times each. Was only when I spammed the thing with grenades that it blinded him enough to blow himself up in the streets. Jeeze it took forever. Then he got his war chopper and started attacking everyone with that. Game really embraces capitalism. Level 5 dudes just get torn up and level 80+ are unstoppable unless you attack them first. Sniper rifle is a major milestone in player to player combat. There's not much they can do if they don't have one too.

Cool! You're doing alright mate keep at it and keep upping those weights hey
