Well I've always been an advocate of spending on hospital and schools before shit like bids to host the world cup or hosting the formula 1 every year, giving financial aid to other countries (help them because they are dying; what about us?!)...or large scale unnecessary projects (which Labor are the kings of). My question is, do you think it would have been any better had Labor retained government? They would make cuts too, someone has to eventually, because you can't just keep borrowing money. If you think the hospital system is bad now, wait until your children have to use it to pay back a much larger bill.
What is really needed is a minor party with a keen interest in health and education, to push to the major parties that these are important issues for people and we don't want to see big white elephant projects that make government look good on the world stage, we want to be looked after in our own backyards first.
