If everyone were a millionaire our dollar would be so inflated that your Falcon would be worth a few mil. Reactions are usually easy to predict, events not so. Knowing the former can give you a bit of an advantage.

My prediction of 88E falling post spud (a nothing event) came true But I did not predict a small spike occurring today over a nothing update from DW essentially saying "everything is going fine" The short term reactions to long term investments never cease to amaze me. The buyer behavioir in a nutshell is "everything went as expected in the day to day operations of a company today, time for me to buy in".

New Rangers are quite different from the old that shared their platform with the Courier and Bravo. Those vehicles had terrible gearboxes too, so many breakages. Even a slightly capable off roader - we have a fleet of them at work that we take four wheel driving occasionally.

Gooby pls NT05 is not a real decent tyre It's a budget summer/dry tyre and they are okay for the price If you want traction put something softer on like proper semis or MT streets
-
Yeah but not like you've ever run a real decent set of tyres on it...

Wow if that is the stock turbo...are they laggy or just amazing tech? F6 seems to do similar stuff with flash tune and exhaust I imagine life gets very expensive once you go beyond that for the Golf
-
Got a source for RS6 quartermile times? That sounds optimistic to me for the V10 model. Regardless, none of that negates my point that the same results can be achieved for substantially less in a probably more reliable and cheaper to repair way. Also struggling with 12 second flat from R/S3 with just that. I'd believe breaking into the 12s...but am feeling a turbo swap to get a high 11 out of them. They would need another 100kw at least...
-
Underquoting laws came into effect today Half the prices are now missing from realestate.com.au app ? Never seen so many listings saying "contact agent" Dishonest cunts
-
I'm gonna wager the RS6 has at least 300kg on the XR6 turbo and would need an extra 100hp at all times to keep up beyond the launch. Put it this way...if my goal was a 10 second car, I know which one I'd be starting with. You'd pull it off well before you got to the purchase price of the Audi, which is a comfortable sleeper at best. And by sleeper I mean the electrical/mechanical problems that await you. My own view of most expensive Euros is that they become largely useless once they are outside their warranty periods and outside of VIP faggotry or baller lyf P players, which is one reason they die in the ass hard for resale.

lol had a mate buy an S3 for 50k and get a flash tune done on it...I beat him with my 98 tune. He got rid of it not long after!!

That would make sense Jap is dead and becoming a niche Aussies are a dying breed

On a philosophical note...why are we happy for something as necessary as housing to continue increasing uncorrelated with income/indexation, but the cost of less necessary goods like cars, computers/electronics we demand stay down / are okay with paying peanuts for thereby keeping the cost of their labour/production down and effectively sent offshore? Pretty backwards. Not even worried for my own situation but there is going to be a shitstorm of lower sociodemographic population or a drastically changed way of life with intergenerational living the new norm.

You have to ask what you're going to get from the RS6 that you can't get from other similarly performing cars, like an XR6 turbo that would cost 20k and offer much the same tuning potential minus the headaches of a Lambo engine that will leave you well and truly screwed if it pops. Makes sense for a tuner or workshop to own one where a lot of the components can be custom fab'd. Advantages I can think of: - Different/exclusive - Arguably better looking - More luxurious (but significantly so?) - Does it handle any better? - V10 sound - Safer? But not 60k worth of advantages IMO. That car is probably a lot cheaper and better supported over in Europe. Here it's just another overpriced VAG product that in standard form will get stomped by tuned Jap cars, in modified form get stomped by tuned Aussie cars...and being 8 years old has an equipment level about on par with a new 1 series. But if it's a childhood dream car that's difficult to argue against...

Might be different to how the eastern suburbs operate, but otherwise I think it'll go for 830 when the dust settles. And they'll probably subdivide the block too lol REA remove the range after the last inspection... If it were Sydney you'd be looking at over a mil. So glad I don't have to give a shit about living close to the city.
-
Another property I was looking at recently seems to go up in price the longer it sits on the market. This is a listing that had no price on it. First phone call before inspection "owners are looking for high 500s". Ask in person at inspection "based on turnout today we're expecting low 600s". Asked different agent on second inspection "640 would buy it". Check real estate app and it's not got a fixed price on it of 650 lol It's as if the lack of offers the first time round only made them more determined to attract the wrong buyers and waste everyone's time.
-
18 months ago when first looking at properties we had sights set on a 540-590k auction range townhouse in Chelsea. REA said owners would likely take 600 if we offered that, we thought bugger it wait for the auction might get it for 590 or less. Opening bid of 650 lol...sold for 760.
-
Wow that's rare...must have been keen to offload. I'm used to adding 10% to the price to account for REA underquoting, particularly when it comes to auctions, but please...why do I have to keep changing the goalposts. They are either dishonest or shit at their jobs...one of these is true.
-
Offers over 430k Last year's rates calculated @ 350k Offer 470k Goes for 495k What a messed up market Another one we were looking at was offers over 490 and went for 590 Be nice when those real estate accuracy laws come in

I think it'll be more related to suspension components - FPV and HSV use different suspension in their sedans maybe they do it with utes too? It's probably firmer in the F6 or with less travel.
-
Rather; swallowing them, amiright?
-
I think Maloos suffer from a similar fate with their carry/payload rating don't they?

Good value! Another "if I didn't own so many vehicles already" for me
