  1. Well shit, it's only taken 6 months... Global by xmas?
  2. As a gym junkie I've disturbingly seen enough old man cock and grey pubes to last me several lifetimes
  3. It was the jargon term Brian Earl Spilner used to trick the guy into revealing he didn't know shit about cars
  4. Ferrari capital, Ferrari ongoing. The only out of warranty vehicles I'll ever own are Jap or Aussie, in that order. Ironic that Japan practically forces short term update of their vehicles yet produces the most reliable and long lasting of all!
  5. Haha well there is a Red Bull edition... And all the usual French quirks. Who the hell puts cruise control near the centre console?! Red seatbelts are cool.
  6. Yeah newfound respect for the French makers. I've driven Peugeots and Renaults before and this was a different class of car. I've read this car came about as part of a tender to replace the WRXs in the fleet of the national guard fast response unit, so the cars had to be more capable than those. It's no Skyline for raw fun but if you have to upgrade to the 21st century, would strongly consider.
  7. You get a lot of car for the money, no? 43k for base model. Pretty good all rounder / daily track weapon and one of the better looking hot hatches I think.
  8. Would be buying 34R over 35 Better investment methinks, even if you've largely missed the boat on price raises...wait til the states can import them
  9. Didn't get enough corner action to explore this but had plenty of grip when diving into turns full throttle
  10. Haha exactly...button is way too hidden. It was in the 265 I rented, should be in all of them...to the far right of steering wheel past where ignition barrel would normally be. Hold down for 5 seconds and off goes ESC, idle raises to 1300rpm, throttle becomes sensitive as if the flywheel has been instantly lightened, you get a more aggressive tune for more power/torque, electric steering becomes heavier and tighter. Real jerky around low speed movements but it's a whole different car when giving it stick - actually impressed me cause with sport mode off I thought it was way too docile and didn't see the fuss.
  11. Buy Megane 275... Didn't know about the sport mode in that thing...boy did that transform the car when I did...
  12. Won't happen until you take him for a drive in a Porsche
  13. Implying it wouldn't be an anchor / money pit without the engine
  14. Why would the Chinese government monitor its own p...oh wait
  15. Shiiieeet that's an 88E style drop
  16. He said hi to me last time, but I think that was only because I walked past him as he was fixing his car...
  17. Or a bicycle tyre worth of contact patch
  18. Don't think I'll ever be able to appreciate that level of camber on a car without necking myself
  19. Think he means stocks?
  20. 15 times their bodyweight
  21. Between that and being able to sort tiny screws in space, they are incredible creatures
  22. If you were gone for 7 years, technically the ants own the place now You'd be their tenant
  23. Not that I'll have to pay stamp duty from July 1 anyway, but the stamp duty interest probably wouldn't bother us - we plan to hit a ~400k mortgage hard with two incomes and build as much equity and as soon as possible. Then look at perhaps a second place for similar cost. Figure this is a better approach interest wise than say taking on 800k over 30 years. The deposit is the bitch. Want to stay in 88E for this drill but the money would sure be handy for a deposit.
  24. The last mortgage broker we dealt with made it sound like we'd have to pay the stamp duty up front - but I think also mentioned being able to put it onto the loan principal, just made it sound like a bad idea for some reason. I get that LMI needs to be paid up front, but I would think a government tax could easily be incorporated into the loan just increasing the LVR a little.
