  1. Realization now hitting me that Brian's lunch was booty call code for shaved pussy
  2. Apparently S2000s are front wheel drive ? I do agree with them about it being nicer back in the day when a dramatic scene didn't involve crossing buildings in a car and the excitement came from who would win a race and who was cutting who's tuna lunch
  3. At the time of the movie though, all the Leroy types were fawning over it cause the JDM was too mainstream Safe to say a combination of rarity / collectable and those movies are responsible for JDM sky high prices. No surprise that the vehicles with the most gained from it are those featured as heroes in the movie...34R, Supra and RX-7. S2000 has also seen a good comeback on pricing. Then again, Jap classics like Hakosuka, RX3, VL Commodore and 2000GT did it just fine without movie power behind them.
  4. When it comes to cars, I love America https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/monterey-car-week/a22825153/2019-hennessey-venom-f5-engine-hp-specs-pictures-info/
  5. Much better than "Is that a GODDAMN pod filter AND an intercooler?" I'll personally see to it that you be removed from the road and may god have mercy on your baby killing soul.
  6. I notice the bargain 32R for sale thread disappeared from the classified section...guessing the new owner wants to resell it without people knowing what it originally went for ?
  7. Until you hit rich and retard and then drive along like you've lost a few cylinders ?
  8. Boost tee / bleed valve is a manual boost controller, just a very simple/cheap one shaped like a T. You used to be able to get one by TurboTech(?) for $25 that would allow a couple extra PSI on a stock ecu vehicle and hold it very well. Bargain performance upgrade on most turbo imports from the 90s.
  9. All good, thanks man.
  10. Anyone got a boost tee I can borrow or buy off them?
  11. One in the for sale section looks cheap enough with basic mods
  12. Got any 10mm spanners?
  13. Interestingly while my car was on the hoist, opposite it was a 32R with D1Rs in nearly GTR offset lol Even I have my limits...
  14. Barry had chocolate sundaes delivered while he fixed my freshly split clutch line on the spot; had to force him to take money for the hour he spent doing it too...he's definitely in my good books right now!
  15. Ahhh so only new customers not taking on?
  16. If it's happening at 3000RPM but not 2000 then a few things spring to mind based on higher pressures exerted at higher RPM: - Oil pump not circulating enough or circulation blocked somehow - Engine leaning out / running hot at mid-high RPM; fuel system; tune etc. - Cooling system not efficient enough (test that water temp sensor too, in case it incorrectly reads 80 all the time) - Head lifting under pressure; a compression test may not show anything but still worth doing given how easy it is - How much oil is in the sump? Enough to cool at low RPM, not at high? - Oil temp sensor not functioning properly? - Head gasket leak/blow issues into the cooling channels tend to show themselves first at idle with no airflow and, as they progress, eventually appear during highway driving when even heaps of airflow isn't enough to cool the engine. Yours doesn't happen at idle which says to me head could be lifting under the extra pressure. - Possible too that some sort of weird piston blowby only rears its head at higher RPM?
  17. Correct - out on road will add about 100-150 to that
  18. My RACV vintage insurance renewal came through...I thought they were cancelling these policies? Or just not taking on new customers? Like others in here, premium gone up from under $300 to $350ish...but that's still full comp on a 33R for 30k agreed with no engine in it...so I'm not questioning it... If I can sort out club rego then it will be a very reasonable second vehicle.
  19. Renewal just came through on my 33R - 350 premium now but still 30k agreed without engine. Thought they were canceling these policies for Skylines...not even gonna challenge the figures!
  20. What happened in the second? Looked like lift off but then the ripple strip kind of pulled you in like a vacuum lol Spins are such an oh shit moment, buckle in for the ride ?
  21. What a fkin collection https://www.burnsandco.com.au/auction_single/clearing-sale-bayswater-via-melbourne-vic/#prettyphoto[group]/295/
  22. Contribution from my limited experience: Brake early into turn one on your first flying lap to get a feel for it; people seem to underestimate how cooked their brakes can be coming onto the main straight. That huge kitty litter patch is there with good reason.
  23. Lowest was 1.8 cents. Lack of talk is due to lack of anything significant happening for a couple months at least.
  24. Actually think I met my match in him; quite possibly drags more than I do Seventy f**king two
  25. She said the car felt faster and he laughed and told her. It was positive displacement too. She sounded stereotypical old Asian lady; always on his back about everything; sitcom material. Had an 8MR too I think.
