if your battery is in your boot, then you should have something that looks like this in your engine bay
  4. got mine today. Great Product - Fast postage. Cheers Ben
  5. you didnt search too well....... you pulled the dash out because of this? or you were pulling it out anyway http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...He-t280174.html ^^ that will explain how to remove & replace the heater core part of the AC system have a look in your engine bay for 2 pipes on the firewall (inline with your glovebox) if you can see 2 pipes sticking out then your and not connected to the radiator system )heating) then thats why your ac is freezing (heatercore leak)
  6. nice wheels man! i'm looking at a set of gunmetal ruffly same spec as those if not then the 17's, how'd the go under your gaurds? (ie: what work did you do) oops just read your 2nd paragraph
  7. nice, didnt realise you could. cheers for the heads up although most of the time i always rip my sticker off and keep my receipt in the center console, its nice to know that "if" i did forget and they tried we've got legal legs to stand on
  8. right here dude! pm sent
  9. stick your head under the drivers side (down in the foot well, then look up and left when your head is down there behind the sereo) and get someone/or yourself to cycle through the modes (ie. face, face feet, windscreen etc etc) you'll notice a white arm moving or not moving. this is what makes the air change direction. if its not moving, you might find that the plastic teeth on one of the plastic cogs has warn out, try sourcing one from a wreckers, or speak to nissan again (even by taking the piece into nissan spares so you can show them exactly what you want)
  10. do you have a stock steering wheel? if its aftermarket, then you'll have an after market boss kit on it, and some of them don't click the indicator off or hicas? likewise with the boss kit for a hicas/non hicas boss kit
  11. the only advice ill give on this matter is, Find one you feel 100% comfortable that they know what you want and how much your spending. companys that won't hide things on you (ie. small F&^% up's on your car that they dont bother to tell you) When i imported my old 180 through a company, they were all good with the handling the money side of things, but when it came to viewing the car for myself, it had cracked dash, door seals siliconed back into place with major spillage of silicon around the area. superglue of some sort on the stereo surround. If a company isn't willing to give you full details then it isn't worth importing through them.
  12. i'm suprised they didn't go off, mind you in saying that. I wrote my mums barina off leaving the bruce highway (with about a 1m drop off the side) i landed on all 4's but my front hit the ground 1st (naturally), it shifted the entire contents of the engine bay back 2 inches. and the airbags still didn't deploy at time of impact i was prob travelling 70-80
  13. ^disregaurd above, found the part number & price (61.70 + gst ea)
  14. is there not an american skyline forum? i'd say if there aren't too many places around the US who can get nissan parts for you, like oz, most of the genuine parts will come from japan (unless sorced 2nd hand from a wreckers)
  15. I need to find a part for this model number - BGKBRTFR33VDA-A--- (not sure if those dash's are needed) the car is a ECR33 gts25t 4 door the part i'm after is the plastic tube which goes from the heater core out into the firewall (not sure if you type "heater core pipe" if anything will come up) maybe this picture might help if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated
  16. http://www.dynamat.com/ - or varient there of (if any) dont expect it to be cheap but
  17. http://www.atq.com.au/index.php?itemid=1 give them a call (if you hadnt already)
  18. this will come in handy, i just hooked my pipes back up to the heatercore (wondering why the previous owner had bypassed it) now have to find a heater core, and also those plastic tube as one is broken and the other looks very close to it
  19. ah cool, thanks for that lol yeah i figured its going to be one of those things thats done when i'm on 2 weeks holiday so i dont need to rush
  20. all i can help with is that you have to own the car for a yr in the UK to avoid some sort of tax, if not you get stung pretty deep in the pocket. as above source through japan
  21. thanks mate, i might as well get 2 new tubes that go through the firewall, as one is broken and the other is looking like its about to break. anyone got an idea of price for those 2 tubes? and the core's go for about 200ish?
  22. Hey all, I just need to confirm that the heating core for the skyline R33 gtst is that same as the 300zx? and is this the major cause of leakages? (as in, if i replace the heating core, will that be it? or is there more?) I've seen the DIY article written up, looks like a fun job I now realise why the previous owner had bypassed the heat option on the ac system. but even up here in qld, i'd still like to be able to control the temp, not just have it freeeeezing haha
