  1. a milkshake out the window works well
  2. spotted a P plater R34 on saturday on bruce highway, open your eyes a little more and you would have spotted that highway patrol car sitting on the on ramp at the BP oh, and dont speed through that section, notorius for highway cars
  3. lol i'm using the pimsleur series. got it on my iphone, listen to it at work (slightly hard to concetrate while trying to draw ductwork & listen and learn jap though), it helps if you speak out and repeat the words your hearing. but as others said learning with someone speaking it to you (ie. tafe/ uni etc etc), its alot easier to understand. something about seeing someone say the words makes it easier i find. you could even try and seek out a japanese student (TESOL) while they learn English, they can teach you Japanese
  4. i didnt bother with the top coat, the finish of the anodized paint was enough for me as for the cracking/peeling on the track - not sure on that, they say its rated up at 500 F (approx 260 C) intermittently, so how hot do your brakes get???

  6. yeah $150 "should" be plenty, depends on the driver and how stupid they are.... i've caught a taxi back from town to abotu 45 mins northside and it came to $100
  7. this link might help you mate http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=277386 the pics dont work, but the info should be there
  8. i've heard they are only short by the smallist bit, however it is noticeable, depends on how picky you are with those sorts of things. i dont get what your trying to say, they may have different seats but going by the tech article they can all be swapped over with each other.
  9. sweet, yeah just couldnt tell if it was the real deal or not haha they do look pretty sweet with the full gtr interior,
  10. hey all was browsing some japanese 2nd hand car sites, and came across these. my question is, are they legit GTR's out of the factory or are they just R34 for gtr running gear & interior redone??
  11. this is taken from a tech article of seat inter-change-ability from NS.com SKYLINES R32 R33 R34 GTS GTS-T GT-T & GTR It is 100% fact that all skyline coupe & sedan front seats are interchangeable from 1988-2004(or when ever the last r34 was made) the front seats of the skyline sedans are all interchangeable the rears are model specific. and you CANNOT put skyline coupe seats into a skyline sedan they are much narrower and the back rest is alot shorter in the coupes!
  12. A workmate just got back from Hong Kong and spotted this while there anyone know what year this one is?
  13. if its a 3" exhaust from the cat converter back (ruffly located under the passenger seat section of the car), then upgrade it from the turbo back to make it a complete 3" turbo back exhaust (ie. dump pipe, front pipe and cat converter)
  14. personally i'd go exhaust 1st (with a highflow cat), as the above fella said, thats just my opinion haha, my reasoning is, why upgrade your cooler to a front mount if you havent got the exhaust to capture the extra gasses. (note: there wont be a massive amount more, however every little bit of exhaust scavenging won't hurt) that would hopefully stop all the popping sound from an exhaust if its just cat back. then get your cooler. just my advice
  15. if you've got the stock air box, get yourself a decent panel filter or go get a decnt pod filter (if you want to go down that path), 3 inch exhaust turbo back (or keep your catback) up to you, then you can start thinking about a front mount
  16. its the throttle valve switch connector/sensor (Automatics) page EN-68 in the R33 workshop manual normal boost should be about 5ish psi with a catback (somewhere in between -7 and 0 on the factory gauge)
  17. thats pretty gutzy of them to break into your house 1st, serves the pricks right man. "quote Pulp Fiction" what's more gutless than f**king with a mans automobile, you just dont do it, it's against the rules"
  18. yeah true, ill be swapping it out at tax time for a momo
  19. i was only going by this website http://meggala.com/r33main1.html not the best website example cuz only one picture works. refering more to the info and fairly sure mines only a series 1 with an airbag steering wheel added as i have to click off the indicators, light coloured seats, front bar, silver S badge on front (maybe photo's might help identify what im talking about)
  20. can't remember if its been mentioned, but the S1 airbag steering wheel was an optional extra, meaning "legally" can be replaced with a non airbag steering wheel.
  21. did this mod today along with a front mount install fun times ahead so half way between 0 & +7 is about 7-9ish psi??
  22. Hey all, this is my first attempt at a tutorial so bare with me if i skip a couple of things, but hopefully ill cover it all. As with most other's suggestions, its a fairly simple task, a little bit fiddely. First up, once the car is jacked up (not necessary but worth while) pop the grille out (5 tabs, 2 on each side and one in the middle), and remove the 3 black screws then check under the car and locate these 2 screws which are infront of the wheels on the underside of the front bar (driver & passanger side) once these 2 screws are out, you can pull to plastic splash gaurd out to get to the 2 reo bolts (driver & passanger side) and the 2 front bar screws which hold it up ( driver and passanger side) unplug the headlights - this can be a bit of a prick if they havent been touched for the life of the car the front bar can now slide forward off now for the side mount removal remove the 2 bolt holding it to the chassis and any bolts that are attached to the black bracket & the car. then in the engine bay, there are 2 screws that hold it up to the engine bay next to the intercooler pipes. if you've got the original air box, remove this to make life easier on yourself. if you've got a pod move it out of the way if you can, or remove it aswell. undo the clamps on the 2 intercooler pipes and the side mount should drop out (have your other hand ready to catch it) you're now ready to fit your front mount which other people have done tutorials on Enjoy Ben
  23. sold to me thanks buddy!
