  1. update . been drifting for over a year now . no issues . fully locked . no noises ever just tyres doing there thing .
  2. You people are all sickos and just waste our environment and shiz . Whats wrong with quiet sunny days and walks in the forrest . PS: Anyone want to fax me a crank pulley removal tool , cause i just blew my water pump and hoses while going backwards on redline in 3rd at the collie 2 day drift assault .
  3. just checked , its only $70 for one day membership + $60 for drift night and your cams licence which can be done on a one day basis too at $25 if memory serves me right .
  4. sort of . you can purchace your cams licence and western australian car club membership on the night on a once off basis (not reccomended) or for the year . CAMS for the year is $50 or $100 depending on which one you get i think . WASCC membership is $370 for the year . This gives you entry to your first event free . After that its only $60 for track access for a drift night or a whole day on the tuning days . So yes you can rock up but bring your wallet . starting out you get instructors riding with you untill you and they are confident . Excuse the obstruction , had to make my own race number for a while out of red tape .search you tube for "bcxhaloman" for more footage .
  5. Im sure youve all heard it before but COME and do some skids or come to watch . I bought this r33 a year ago for 9.5 grand with a front mount , power fc and tein springs and have drifted it nonstop with no dramas . In other words , it doesnt take much to get it done . Practice is on again friday night from 7.30pm up at barbs .
  6. +1 for imports 101 Im not sure if they will supply you with a hammer and washers though . One day something may break on my car so i get to visit them again .
  7. on the r33 i know a trip to bunnings will do it for ya if your stingy like me . 2 washers with a bit cut out of em and a hammer for installation !
  8. i think i got lucky last time i was up there midweek . it was so quiet and relaxed no one really minded . i got to drift past a couple of guys after chatting with em to make sure they were cool with a bit of drift . from memory it went something like . drift mor ? dude seriously more now . just kept the speed up and the angle down .
  9. Thanks for the feedback ossie Its pretty cool to hear that AHG used to have drift training . I thought they were quite anti drift . (been there heaps in various cars , you can get away with a bit) As a point of interest ive been to the RAC centre for a tuning arvo after there change of ownership and its still pretty good value if anyone was wondering . The first barbagallo tuning day for now is our first place to unleash some tyre tread . Its a good way to start drift at barbs by doing some track farmiliarity during the day all day for 60 bucks . If its quiet well be able to get some good drift in .
  10. HAha im thinking thats a pic taken from fastnfurious 15 ? i seem to remember that scene
  11. nic a31 i dont think you read the post properly . you might want to re read it or maybee i should have put more info in it but i didnt want to be longwinded like i usually am . The idea i was trying to get across is that if there is someone out there that wouldnt mind letting us use some space that they have that would be very nice and we would treat them respectfully . I cannot see why using a forum to put out a request is a bad idea , espescially when i reccomended people that are genuinely able to help should pm rather than post . Im just trying to do my best to do some responsible and safe driving AND be accountable for my actions while doing so . If you want to promote street drift then i suggest you continue to shit on everyone who tries to avoid it . PS: As an additional note we both already pay cams lic wascc membership and attend barbagallo drift sessions .
  12. yeah im fully aware of this but you can only run certain dates /at night and im a driving instructor with a car . All i need is somewhere to use it and i can get a lot more training time in for my mate at a much more relaxed pace .
  13. I know asking this is like trying to catch a turd one handed in a pool but here goes . . . I have a drift car and my mate is about to start using it up barbs , thing is he has never drifted before . So im looking for a bit of tarmac anywhere thats on private land (ie not the street) to show him some basics . If anyone has a trucking yard or something somewhere that we could use a few times it would be greatly appreciated . I am 34 years old , a sensible adult (to some level) have a safe road registered drift car and most importantly , i know how to show respect to other people and there property so i wont be leaving any tyres/fires/explosives etc behind . Ill be handing over my phone no lic details etc to anyone that may be able to help out . pm may be the go as im not interested in having 4 cars turn up at your property .
  14. I thought this would be worth a few people looking at LINKY
  15. looks good . i just bought a grill from the forums for my 93 gtst but it wasnt the open mesh style like the one i lost it was the 3 horizontal bars one and it looks a bit too classy and not very aggressive . after seeing yours i might modify mine to go back to the more open look . nice job .
  16. use some alcohol swabs to remove silicine etc from the plastics on the dash and back of the controller before you apply your velcro . there about $10 for a pack of 100 from your chemist . mine never comes off , more to the point ive been installing aftermarket car bits (immobs cruise reverse sensors t/timers etc) for 15 years and thats the way i do it (well usually doublesided tape 3m brand but velcro is better for controllers that will want to be moved mostly whenever you take your dash panel out depending on your mounting position).
  17. dayeeem 500 2 strokes , old school hang on for ya life fun right there .
  18. first post "walking out of the tunnel when they were hit by a white Holden Commodore utility" second post "I wonder if this was that burgundy 4 door 33. haha" i always laugh when people get run over too , im like the first one standing over them pointing like nyahh nyaaaahh looooserrrr hahah
  19. repco do cheap and comprehensive tests on cars . you have to take the car to them but there one of the few people that do a compression test as standard . rac and sgio etc dont bother . better yet get someone like there competition to pick the shit out of the car head off to imports 101 and get them to do an inspection . the revs check you should be doing can still also be upgraded to an insurance policy against rebirthing i think , which it sounds like you may be worried about . its about 30 dollars ? my gtst has 200,000 ks on it and ive been drifting it since i bought it 6 months ago every session no worries . so there preeeety strong , like everyone says .
  20. THAT IS AN AWESOME BIKE . I ride an old 99 yamaha r6 (ex race bike) its cheap and asks little from me but to get on it . my money goes into drift so its a good cheap fang bike that i dont have to insure . Doing car cruises can be loads of fun but you really have to keep your wits about you . Usually im the sillyest person around though so its not too weird being 2 up in a 4 up world .(havent done it in ages though) In a few months when the weather fines up i might get back into riding , ive been riding a lot lately but always in the cold and rain helping a mate get his 250 licence . send of a pm if your looking for numbers , replys take up to a week or so from me .
  21. I might just add a different opinion here . Everyone is saying that the road is not the time and place for fun in your car but i think its always been the place for it , just dont get it wrong . People will always have rules to follow to make society work (and penaltys for when they get caught breaking them) and they will always have free will to choose there own path . Im glad the car and driver are fine . Im also more glad that the pole was not a pram , with my daughter in it and my wife pushing it . I am also very glad to see a bit of street fun/drift/laughter though and espescially wheelies on bikes as long as no one gets hurt . The police will tell you that your going to hell for thinking about doing a burnout , so believe them and wrap your ass in cotton wool ? never . Try to have consideration for society while your still living your life ? always hopefully . ps.if your skills are low the bush tracks are a good alternative training ground to the racetrack . my 2 cents .
  22. Ive only read the first post but being an old man ive had (more than) a bit of experience with cops and there games . This is just like the little man syndrome where the little guys says " one day , one day im gonna get all youze" Cops can only do what is legal . What he said would happen is not legal . Its just a man getting pissed off that he didnt get his perpetrator or quota or ice cream etc . Cops are just people , sometimes they get pissed off and sometimes they make shit up just like everyone else . I would say just that sort of thing if i was in his position , luckily im not so i get to have my ice cream and smear it into my own pants for personal pleasure too .

    Wanneroo Racing

Thats some really good footage . First thing i noticed was the way he handles the wheel two hands over the top for turn one and the old basin out the back . Second was the lines he took , very early turn in , makes for a great passing setup as you always drive the same line weather passing or not . Gives me something to think about for mondays tuning day .
  24. I look down on people with only an auto licence if theyve had there licence for a year or more . Maybee thats unfair but thats just the way i feel . If your going to drive a performance car or a manual then just go get your licence . I would never drive a car without having 3rd party property (or ride a bike for that matter) because theres too many expensive cars out there waiting to be hit (think of the medical on a family with neck injuries too). When peoples grandkids say "pappaa why are we all crack addicts with sores all over our bodies?" Pappaa says "well its like this greebo . 70 years ago i couldnt be bothered getting the right class licence and drove into a mercedes while swerving to miss a cat (there were still cats back then). I was only a minor crash but that $170 bill put me behind all my life" My uncle , now hes no crack addict BUT he has been behind all his life , looking back which would you choose . Im not trying to put anyone down here im just posting a view . ps >im a hypocrite because i drift and hoon occasionaly on the street so i have no high ground here . mmm cereal time .
  25. ive just had mine out and i see what you mean about the clutch in there being sealed . i think your right the oil should have no noticeable impact . just to add to the info available i found in my diff an 0.8 mm washer and a 1.5 mm washer for a total of 2.6mm . it drove very nicely , didnt single spin ever as far as i could tell . (feeler gauge is what i used to measure , there cheap) i purchaced 2 1.1 mm washers with the plan to jam anything i could in there to lock it up tight for drift work . I could only fit one of them in there for a total of 3.4 mm as theres only so much you can fit in before the 2 screws that hold it together start to look too weak to pull the thing back together . end result is a win for me , nicely locked up with no real movement . i think occasionally i can hear the spider gears moving half a tooth but it may be the tyres too . drift practice in 3 days woooo.
