  1. Think thats bad, check out how much a Porsche Cayenne Turbo drops. These are $270k cars that drop $100k as they roll off the lot.... I also have followed the second hand prices and just look at the same cars that have not sold in 6 mnths. At what point do you drop the the price? its the market that dictates what there worth not the owner unfortunately.. All prestige, highly taxed cars drop a huge amount very quickly, as the taxes make up such a huge portion of the price, every dealer takes those off when u want to trade. Also the reality of actually owning a performance car ( having had GT3's and Boxsters, etc ) is that the up-keep is EXPENSIVE. $4000 for tyres, Insurance, servicing they are all in proportion to what the car costs!! Think a lot of people have had a heart attack when they get there insurance/tyre quotes....
  2. Thats a ridiculas price even without the pickles fees etc. Seriously $140k for 22k of launch control, need tyres and no service record? Surely there are are some babied ones on carpoint for similar money.. The last auction i went to was 6 mnths ago in Brisvegas, there was an Audi r8 i wanted to bid on.. It had 15,000 ks, had scratches on nearly every panel, somehow worn front seat on side bolstering, no log books and was a repo.. I was thinking $120k-$140k + Pickles.. It started at $160k and ended up at $190k? WTF with fees it was $200k.... No one in the room was bidding it was all online? Lets see if this white one ends up on carpoint from some dealer in a few weeks....
  3. So.. Anyone know what it sold for...
  4. opps plus u need to pay stamp duty again!!!!!!! roughly another $6,500 makes it $168,500 ish?
  5. Does that work out at $162,000 for the car? think i got my sums right...
  6. Gotta love the $16,000 dealer delivery and on road costs......

    2nd Hand R35's

Just looked at one at von Bibra today that sold for $165k and there was one sold a couple of weeks ago in melbourne for the same price. They were both brand new 09's. The dealers are dumping them because the 10's are coming next month. Apparently with upgraded ecu, suspension, cooling thingies, sat nav, etc they are quoting $180k on 2010.... So even with the 5% tariff reduction they are quoting a $2000 price increase for the new upgrades..

    2nd Hand R35's

finally the voice of reason... I agree with you Rehab. These things second hand should be around the $130-140k. U can buy a new one for $165k so why are people with 5-10,000 ks still trying to get more than that? They all say never launched etc, however with nissan not letting u access the black box how do u know? check this add out on carpoint......... "This car is in showroom condition, extremely well looked after, never launched, tracked or modified. Four new tyres fitted, 10k service completed. For business purchasers the price includes GST and an invoice will be supplied. Claim the GST back! A simply amazing car, pleasure to drive and in the best colour. Any inspection welcome" http://ninemsn.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/pr...7&silo=1011 ummmmm so you went through a full set of tyres in 5,000ks and never launched or tracked etc....... must be rough roads.....

    Buying A R35

Yes you would be an idiot!!! do a quick search on carpoint etc and you can find a brand new ADM for $165,000 http://ninemsn.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/de...7&silo=1011. How the other dealers justify over $180k or more than $165k for a secondhand one/demo is beyond me?
  10. No you are right i havn't made an offer however $140k is $20-$25k less than advertised.... If munro bought one cheap it was probably an import, with no warranty and no nisssan servicing etc, they should be $100k. Its crazy to pay $140k plus for any new car with no warranty or servicing support!!! Even a new m3 with 10-15ks on it has depreciated up to $50k...... Thats a much better buy but i realllly like the GTR... If you've had anything for sale for 6 mnths and no takers ummmmm IT'S TO MUCH!!!
  11. Hi all, Been following this forum for a year or so.. So heres my 2 cents.. I can afford to buy a GTR / R8 / 2nd hand Gallardo etc these are the only cars that currently float my boat The thing is i'm a tight ass so i follow the 2nd hand market pretty closely. The 2nd hand GTR market currently is rediculas, you have 5-10k cars at $169-$179k. They have all been on the market for months some 6 mnths and don't sell. There are new ones for the same or less.. Check carpoint $169,000 drive away.. So my point? well i won't touch a 2nd hand GTR till there around the $140k <5000k price point.. Hmm the R8 starts at an unbelievable price nearly 300k for a car with the same engine that comes in the rs4 ( $160k new, $120ish now). I've put offers on 2 R8's for $180k with <5000 ks both sold just over that price $190+$195, the others available have all been for sale for months again and start around the $225k price? OOOOOOh Gallardo's hmm i'm happy to pay $200ish got close at $220 for a redish one but it sold!! Now i can't rember why i started this now but i think the point was, that for me the GTR is a great supercar starting point ( i had a GT3. Fun but not that fast.. Actually i think my 1098 and r1 make em all feel a bit slow ) however we do get raped in Aus price wise so i want to cover my ass a bit with the depreciation thing on any car. I really believe the 2nd hand sellers out there at the moment are dreaming at the prices they want ( oh no i've never launched it, absolutly been babied... um why'd u by it then? ). I guess in another 6mnths when they havn't sold it they may realise this and then i'll bite the bullet and get one...However if the others come up cheap i might have to skip it? hope not cause the GTR in the flesh is hot!! mmm black please....

    139k Jdm

The car is advertised at 139k but they will have to take a lot less; a: the car was the first is Aus so its a year old and no doubt was IMG's demo car. You have to think its had some hard km's and LC'd afew times... b: They imported it when the dollar was 98c, and i've heard they were costing people 110k landed in Aus. c: you still have all the issue's of no warranty ( well theirs but i can't see them replacing a tranny ) and Nissan will not let their dealers service them ( fuc#ers) so i don't think its a bargain at all. See if they dump the black box for you and see what its really done.. This is no shot at IMG i just think even the Aussie delivered ones are gonna take a beating second hand. Everyone rightly or not is so paranoid about this car and whats been done wth it that if they can afford it they will buy new if not they will take the risk and wait till there cheap around the 110k mark. We will see. Plus with the 50k gov tax on the car all dealers when trading take all those costs straight off the trade in price... Of course i could be wrong...
  15. If you can pick up a cancelled order you should get it for $170k drive away. If you order now for August delivery it will be $178 this is for standard colour and premium options. However there is more margin as i talked my trade up a couple of thousand. Basically i saw that the dealer had an 8k margin on both. Idon't think there have been many orders outside of the pre-ordered ones as you can get one in August yet they are still filling the outstanding orders from pre-order till July. I don't know what it cost to upgrade to a "premium" Nissan dealership but i can't see how they will ever re-coup there money unless they screw us on servicing!!! I think pre orders will be 80% of the cars there ever going to sell here. Also i don't think they sold as many as quoted some of the dealerships i talked to said they sold 30+ yet when looking for a cancelled order there struggling cause they only have ten cars coming? WTF Finally they seem so precious about it and seem to have no idea about servicing etc that they kill the other potential buyers. Its been out in Japan/America for over a year they should know this stuff backwards!!
