More than the reason of being attainable is the human nature of always wanting something better. It wont be the 'best' GTR anymore. You will even see it with the R35 where people will wait for the vspec I or II, even though they will never exploit the power from the std R35. Go on the holden forums, and you can see how the 6L is now not enough/ good enough and they want the 6.2L or 7L HSV.

Looking in Jspec 2001 R34 GTr Vspec = 42K and a 2004 R34 VspcII Nur ed. = 68K. I look on their from time to time and have not seen them this low. Maybe for a 1999 model. Give it another 12 months and I reckon a late model R34 Vspec II would be in the high 40s.

I had a r33gts25 lightly modded. Now have a heavily modded 03 wrx. The wrx is a better car than the r33. Even with light mods the r33 was all over the place in the wet. Mines got around 250awkw and the std 5spd has not missed a beat. Though I would not consider a rex again and would definitely get a GTR or maybe a F6 typhoon. Like someone said, dont get a cannon muffler as the drone is not tolerable. With a larger turbo, there is lag until 3500-4000rpm (but after that its very very fast, but safe). The EJs are also not fuel economical. If you keep it close to stock you should have no problems with it.

Im a family man now and I think the 4 dr concept is a good idea. I wouldnt care what they called it, just as long as it lived up to the performance of the current R35.

or add a bit more on top and get a 2008 RS6 audi. twin turbo V10.

Its interesting to read the comments, as it is widely known that both the skyline gts 's and the supra TTs are worthless if you cant hold traction. Did my shopping and the wrx is where it is at. 4wd, handles, quick, practical, looks better than both the other cars put together. Plus not much gets closer to sounding better than the boxer rumble.

how hard do people want to go? Its too fast for public roads as it is, so cant see why people are worried about the weight either.

ummm... the reviews Ive seen comparing the R8 and Porsche TT, have shown that the porsche is quicker in a straight line and around a track. The crap about that it interacts better, is just the magazines way of not upsetting audi. The GTR was quicker in every respect, handled better in every situation, had a far superior gearbox, was compared to a veyron, and was just as nice looking. Then in the last paragraph they go and say its Audi that communicates better. What a laugh.

Jeez what has nissan built, when they start saying stuff like it would even worry a bugatti veyron. That they doubt there is another car on the planet that can corner like the r35. After reading that article it was ridiculous that they thought the audi was the better car.

cant understand why so many are concerned with its weight. FFS it does an 11.3 qtr mile. What more do you need from a road car ???

its said the gtr has the same emissions as a toyota prius, so first this is to get rid of all the restrictions along the exhaust. It will then be a 3.5s car.

Im guessing you only had 6 months warrenty on the car and that it has run out? I have a feeling you will win this one because the car has been dodgy from the start and you bought the car with the boost controller, so it is not up to you to tune anything. The car should be roadworthy to drive once it left the importer. If you installed the boost controller or modded it in any way then you will probably be screwed.

dont worry I luv the gtr much more than wrx's. By the way if you compare an sti or an evo to an r34, they do out perform the gtr in any situation that requires sharp turns and quick stop/start. Though if someone wanted huge power then the gtr is classes ahead.

Great looking car. Would have rathered an r34 gtr, maybe after the lease on this one ends. No doubt it would feel better than a rex, by a lot, I doubt it. Its an 11sec car.

There comparing the r35 to a koenigg (spelling?) which takes it to levels the r32 never got to. In standard form there's nothing that special about an R32.

This sounds like a crock of shite. Some people only do 5-10K per 12 months, let alone 100,000Km which could take 10 years. Like people have said above aussie journos writing crap to fill lines on a page.
