Would a G3 one help you in any way? As my mate/tuner has my old tune saved in his laptop still I think. Was a G3 with R33 25DE/30 standard internal with a 3540, 850cc FD3S injectors making around 300rwkw -
Yea I was thinking the same thing, im just thinking of making a thrasher or a n/a RB30DE or something as its not for my car as I allready have a RB30DET built. So does anyone know if the turbo heads are different?

Hey people I just thought I would post this up to show you and to get your thoughts on using a Neo head for a RB30DET? here are some photos to show the differences between R33 early 25DE and Neo 25DE heads. And maybe this could help update the PDF? Neo head with a R33 25DE head gasket sitting on Neo head with R33 25DE intake gasket on it Neo intake with R33 25DE intake gasket on Neo piston R33 25DE head with Neo intake gasket on Neo chamber R33 25DE chamber Both manifolds side by side

Thats a pretty nice car! its running a L20 (2L SOHC 12V) with triple sidedraft carbs and at a guess it would go very well for what it is, also it would sound absolutly amazing with those carbs on! drivetrain parts should be easy enough to find as there are a few other nissans that use the same parts but body parts would not be so easy to find. L28's are no stronger really they are just bigger and have more power and torque

So is yours a KHR30 or a HR30 stagefumer11? as I am sure I have seen a few R30 L20ET coupes that have just had HR30 chassis numbers!!??

I think KHR30's are paul newman versions?? could be wrong though but im sure I heard it some where?

Blue Dynamite: Those whiteline sway bars! are they for DR30 RSX? If so how much? And are the DR30 rear disc brakes internal drum or cable/arm type on the back of the callipers like HR30? Cheers Ollie

Steering Rack Conversion Into R30

Could you take any photos? S13 x-member? did it bolt strait in? as im running RB and A31 is the same x-member as S13 just with RB mounts so that basicly was my original idea and I will be running S13 adjustables soon anyway and I was thinking about S13/A31 lower arms aswell! Ahhhh then and my sump will clear properly with a A31 X-member aswell! -
Hey people has anyone on here heard of/or done a steering rack conversion into a R30? Even though I am no where neer having my car running im allready scared of the shocking delayed respose steering box in it! I know its a pretty simple conversion into a R31 as there are alot more parts on them that interchange with R32, R33/S13, S14/A31/C33, C34 etc etc. I will be doing it to my R30 soon and im just trying to see whats out there and SDU NZ has allmost died in the last year, not that the site was ever much help to oldskool guys like us! At this stage im thinking get a non-4WS(non-hicas) A31 Cefiro steering colum, rack and mabey crossmember aswell or at least the rack mounts off it to weld onto the R30's crossmember and then go from there! Anyone got some input? Cheers Ollie

Im gona keep it N/A but its going to be a perifheral port with a 51mm IDA so hoping for over 300hp. But a mate with a s3 rx7 with a similar motor build made 340hp and holly shit that was fast, 3rd gear was like taking off in 1st! Future plan is to drop a injected 20b PP in it an have a bit of NOS aswell because im not a real fan of turbo rotas! Yep when shes done I will get some pics up! I dont want to be a smart arse but as for you non belevers of the torque or power come over when its finnished an I will take you for a ride and then see what you say!

Hey guys I havint been on this forum for about 4 or 5 months and seem to have missed a bit. Far out this one big thread allright 850++ post and 30 pages wow. Anyway ive got a 1984 HR30 Skyline 4 door sedan which is now in the prosess of having a Mazda 13B Rotary engine (yes I know a very odd swap but very original) so far its had motor fitted to make the engine and gearbox X-members, its been paneled and repainted in a nice bright red with a silver pearl and plenty of sparkle, and the interior has been redone with a momo 320mm, new carpet, 2 black racetech bucket seats, black rear seats out of a f15a mitsi diamante, Autometer 5" Tacho/Oil pres/Water temp and fuel pres gauges the wheels are 17x8 ROH ZS's, just sent the motor away to get rebuilt and ported, rear disc end out of turbo model been fitted, now have to decide what im going to do with the suspension/breaks, (probably go with s13 fronts, with r32 gts-t 4 pot's and dont know with the rear yet) Just as long as it is fully sacked out hard!! and im waiting for my r200 lsd to be rebuilt so I can chuck it in, waiting on my turbo cosmo 5speed to arrive from japland also and my custom made 4 core alloy radiator and no dout I will find a few other bits and peices to do or rebuild as I go or get more cash. I will have the car on the road by september 25 (a while away but im in no hurry because thats when I get my licence back if I get it going any earlyer I will end up driving it and geting in trouble). Please dont be to harsh on me for my choice of powerplant for it

I have a 1989 R32 GTS 4 door auto I realy like to drive it it handles really well and looks good for a standard car I am selling only due to being an auto. There are only two things that bother me one being the hicas-rear stering feels dodgy in the wet weather I recon an so do a few mates with the same cars and two being front tires wearing out on the inside very quickly and yes it just had a wheel alignment.

My two cents -- just get your radiator flushed no matter what because I had myn done just a few days after I put my new motor in my R32 GTS an it made it run like 2-3mm lower/cooler on the factory gauge.

Hey I was just wanting to find out some info/problems/advice or if any one has done or heard of turbo engine swaps for 1981-1985 HR/DR/MR30 Nissan skylines such as L28et, RB30det, RB20det, RB25det any others because I am curently thinking seirously about puting on into my HR30 4 door Non turbo because I have a bit of coin saved up. Also any photos of your modded R30s would be greatly apreiciated. THANKS.

1984 R30 GT - Lowered(heaps), 17" Advanti Vallens, POD filter, fresh paint, extractors, full 2 1/4 exhaust, momo wheel/pedals and racepro seats. 1989 R32 GTS - Nothing done to it. Got it for real cheap and I am going to make money off it.
