  1. Love to Dane but not looking good at this stage Can't remeber what Adz did around there in chris's R but I had a club GTR lap record to protect
  2. Nice Dane good to see it all back together
  3. As per what others have said, if you got a driving infringement it needs to be paid. However if you have a QLD car it cannot be defected by a victorian police officer. Thanks to Australias system where each state has its own rules in regard to car mods (I'm NOT talking about ADR's here) a vic police officer cannot defect a QLD car and vice versa. Therefore the defect should be null and void. The only bit that may get you into trouble is if you have moved to vic from Qld....by law you are required to change your drivers licence and car rego after 3 months. If they find out you are living here with a qld rego'd car you will be in trouble. Do not use this advice as gospel and chase it up with the police.
  4. Happy birthday guys and gals
  5. Good on Webz for stealing 2nd in the drivers championship Was funny seeing Flav with briefcase in hand leaving the circuit with about 20-30 laps left and his 2nd driver in 12th spot....I think that says it all for NP career I hope Massa has a speedy recovery...another of those 1 in a million accidents that reminded me of the Surtees one last week or so. After they slowed the footage down and you could see the part strike the car and driver, watching it in real time is scarey as it happens so fast you can't see the spring! It is never good to see a driver hurt like this but is a stark reminder of why you need to pull cars into the pits to rectify things like exhaust pipes hanging by a thread and dangling around on an F1 car...
  6. Sad to see...RIP and condolences to his family

    New Arrival

Congrats and I hope mum and bubs recover in no time
  8. +1 for Meridian but I have seen some good work on mates cars dones by Brown Davis
  9. That is gold
  10. Awesome result Thought the drive through was a bit harsh considering the rear view out of these cars but it was a fair old hit. To be honest I felt like switching off the TV after that, but when I realized where he re-joined the field I knew it would be on! Great drive by Webz and I think it was fitting that he actually had to fight to stay at the front rather than just leading from pole.
  11. Congrats Rianto
  12. Yeah they had to take that one off of the air due to the police taking it literally As others have said, govt BS....imagine if the govt spent the time they spend on banning crap like this because it "encourages hoon driving" and spent it on practical ways of reducing the road toll...
  13. Awesome tool So did you get a chance to use it a number of times to see if any adjustment in the susp was helping or was it a once off?
  14. Daniel, You do not need a sticker for your tow tooks as you will usually be by the car if it needs a tow and as long as you know where they are you can tell the marshalls. Be aware though that there is a chance of some damage to your front bar/lip due to the location of the std tow hook. 2nd bonnet restraint is simple....some braided steel line and some clamps is all you will need - as per what Roman said^ If you are taking your R34 no you don't need to tape your headlights - you only need to do this if they are made of glass.
  15. I can understand the law makers having issues with the safety aspects of them in regard to the wet grip, but to ban them because of noise and rolling resistance is just BS. It will be interesting to see what the tyre manufacturer's come up with though
  16. Sorry to hear that things have gotten in the way Al. Thanks for all the effort you have put in mate
  17. Taken from EVO and obviously relates to Europe....but how long before Aus follows suit... "New safety regulations spell the end for extreme road-legal rubber By Roger Green23rd June 2009New legislation on tyre labelling and accompanying minimum standards to be introduced simultaneously in November 2012 will effectively end the production of road-legal trackday tyres. Tyres likely to be axed include the Dunlop Direzza, Toyo 888 (currently available on the Renaultsport Mégane R26.R), Michelin Pilot Sport Cup (Porsche GT3 and GT2) and Avon ACB10 (Caterham), along with a host of others. The aim of the new regulations is to both raise all-round performance standards and to give buyers a greater understanding of the performance and environmental impact of each particular tyre before purchase. All road-legal tyres will have to display rating figures for rolling resistance (fuel efficiency), external noise and wet grip, and while the rating system and minimum levels have yet to be set, it is unlikely that track-biased tyres will be able to pass on all counts. Tyre manufacturers are currently lobbying the European Parliament, but it will be very difficult for them to make a successful argument for tyres that allow drivers to corner faster in the dry but which offer a significantly lower level of performance the moment the surface becomes damp. It is expected that trackday tyres will fall foul of the other parameters too, so their demise is something their manufacturers are already preparing for. James Bailey, Dunlop’s PR chief, believes it highly unlikely that trackday tyres will continue in their current form, although the company’s official position is that these regulations are positive as they will also remove poor performing cheap road tyres from the market. In its own braking tests the difference between the best and worst tyres fitted to a Mondeo stopping from 50mph on a wet surface was as much as five car lengths… Porsche feels it’s too early to comment and that at this stage it is still a matter for the tyre companies. Once the regulations have been set, the German car maker will still request an appropriate level of performance from Michelin for its top models. So what does the future hold? There will still be high-performance tyres made from a race-style compound though they are likely to have regular road-car tread patterns. However, they won’t be as fast or responsive as the current crop of trackday tyres, and for those of us who enjoy the extra performance and challenge presented by this specialist rubber that’s a real shame." Time to start stocking up on RE55's and the like....thoughts?
  18. Congrats Adz great time Good to see all that hard work is producing results
  19. LOL how quickly we forget a particular round at PI a while ago
  20. Sounds good but the club needs to be careful where it steps in regard to copyright rules. As the R33 gtr was never sold here the logo is freely available however I'm not sure that the Nismo logo would be in the same boat. As for the hoodie....great work by the committee and as as per all of my SAU gear I will wear it with pride
  21. Agreed...TVR cars have a lot of problems getting compliance for the road here in Aus due to the fact a lot of them dont have a collapsible steering wheel column of some crap like that
  22. Congrats Bass..great news and I hope Gemma is travelling well
  23. Taken from EVO: "TVR’s former boss Peter Wheeler has died. He passed away last night after a short illness. He’s a legendary figure in the car industry, having captained the TVR ship between 1980 and 2004. It remains the Blackpool sports car maker’s real glory period during which time cars such as the Cerbera, Griffith, Chimaera and Tuscan were launched. Even more characterful than the cars was the man himself, and after selling the company to a Russian businessman in 2004, he continued his work albeit down a different avenue – constructing himself a classic TVR 5000M racer as well as building the truly astonishing (and rather mad) Scamander amphibious vehicle that we featured in our tenth birthday issue. Our condolences go out to his family. He’ll be a hugely missed character, and to many people here, friend."
  24. Yep Kudos to Ch10 for showing it this year but would've been nice to see more night footage. Was awesome to watch the Lemans cars catch and pass the GT cars esp when the GT cars were fighting their own battle! Those corvettes do sound great through :ye:
