  1. Anyone else think that someone at Honda is kicking themselves?
  2. Rowdy I think the high risk inspection means that a team will look over your car to make sure that all the required compliance bits were fitted.
  3. Congrats Al....you certainly earnt those 'extras' with all the BS you've had to put up with
  4. Would love to do funds depending.... in added news regarding the burger ring http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Nu...ws-t262850.html
  5. Taken from the EVO newsletter..... Awesome, so now not only is the burger ring a public road but so is the F1 track as well
  6. Oh no...sorry to hear you are considering selling Ferni +1 for a great car with well chosen mods
  7. I have std sized dba5000's on the front of my 33GTR...have stood up well to a lot of abuse (I'm pretty hard on brakes) with only surface cracks to show for it.
  8. Agree with the above..much better to get a set of GOOD street rubber to learn on
  9. Easy enough ask the owner for reciepts or paperwork to prove that is the case...no paperwork no deal. Besides I'm not even sure that the Nismo "S' tune upgrade dealt with the internals at all, I was under the impression that most of the 'S' tune was bolt on stuff upgrades but I could be wrong. Check the Nismo website for more info....
  10. Like everything about it except for that rear wing...I'm sure it costs a mint and is very well made but looks like those rip offs you buy on ebay
  11. Looking good Dane...must've been a fair effort to get YOUR shoulders below the door line mate
  12. Hahahaha EGM Won't be able to make this one....will be on a beach somewhere
  13. Aside from what others have said....it also depends on how hard you were pushing the car....street or track. The first time I went to Sandown in the R without a catch can I had oil leaving the BOVs and spitting onto my front right tyre....not great for grip Fitted a catch can, cleaned the intake and the oil never reappeared.
  14. Ah THAT rule....fair enough too It will be a good learning experience for you and will be interesting to hear how the new one compares to the old
  15. What part of the rules put your new car into club champ? I'd be very tempted to do this considering the entry fee but a much needed holiday has put a dent in my racing fund this year....assuming nothing out of the ordinary happens between now and next year and the price stays around that I'll be there for 2010
  16. Ash will no doubt be the fountain of knowledge on this but as far as I'm concerned as long as the engineer concerned is a registered engineer able to sign off on automotive modifications the certificate should be valid. Why not contact Vicroads and ask?
  17. I couldn't agree more...his partner should've been his first concern. Easy to say in hindsight but what he should've done is keep walking, get 1/2 way up the stairs and get the partner to call the police and get a safe distance away, then intervene. These fcukers are cowards and going by the vid have little or no fighting experience, sure there is a small chance that they will front but my money is on that they will run. As others have said even if they didn't want to get involved a simple call to the cops would be enough.
  18. I have a mate who is rebuilding a Mercury. Basically he is replacing the chassis with one he has built and designed himself, cutiing the body off of the old car and putting it all together with modern engine, brakes etc etc. The chassis has to be sighted and signed off by an engineer to ensure it meets ADR's and is sound. As the motor is a modern engine out of a production car as long as the motor isn't modifed it meets all the required EPA and emissions regs. The only thing I am unsure about is the exhaust....obviously as the two cars are different he will have to use a different exhaust and I imagine he would have to get the noise tested etc. If the owner was to modify the engine after all this it would be illegal, however as Ash said the chance of him being picked up for it compared to a skyline is pretty slim.
  19. Saw it on the news last night....pack of cowards and such a low act to kick a bloke in the head while he is on the ground. If that wasn't bad enough the couple who walked past did nothing....I bet they would be feeling a little guilty at the moment.
  20. In Oz you will be pushing for a plastic or good FPR front bar. Best best is to try the yahoo auctions as I bought an original series 3 GTR bar there about 2 years ago.

    Fcking Ants

Hey guys enough of the ant bashing already ...and I categorically deny that I have been anywhere near ronins car or mav's toilet
  22. No actually it makes perfect sense....1/2 of the muscles holding your face onto your skull will be broken under accel and the rest will snap when you brake
  23. Open face gives better visability. However closed face is safer and you can use it if you ever ride a bike or go karting.
  24. Black Gran Turismo on Centre Rd in Bentleigh about 6:30pm last night
  25. That is true for business but not for individuals (most of the time!). Not only that but I think you have to take the feeling of security into account too. Sure a lump of business money may head offshore to avoid tax, but the heads of that company would feel pretty secure knowing that that money is there. As such I would think that they would be more inclined to spend on the business to keep it going - not only that but they may have an opportunity to gain due to the current climate. As for individuals, I'm not an expert and people like karla above clearly have more knowledge on the subject in regard to what tax cuts will do to the economy. However what I do know is that tax cuts to individual tax would increase spending in this country and isn't that what the govt is trying to do?
