  1. Sorry to rain on your parade Roy....but GM management confirmed this car will not be built in RHD...LHD only. Dealers in the UK and elsewhere in Europe tried their best to convert the Yanks otherwise but they wouldn't come to the party.
  2. Yep +1 for ten HD showing it close to 10pm Keep it up....
  3. Aparently they can't cope with the loads for circuit work and I have read that the fine print on the packaging tells you not to you them for motorsport.... No problem for street use though.
  4. Apart from the thread and pitch as mentioned above, if you are going to use them for circuit work do not use the alloy ones. Find some good steel ones like the Rays daytona set.
  5. Fair enough wrxhoon...I'm just repeating what Nismo said in their documentation Nismo_SCMclutch02.pdf Just under the bit where it lists all the parts in the kit. Besides the clutch pedal is aready light with this clutch why would you want it any lighter?
  6. All valid points.....PIARC it is then
  7. Interesting....I have just installed one of these clutches and when reading the documentation it specifies not to use the Nismo slave cylinder due to lack of stroke volume.
  8. Good plan guys....just throwing this into the ring... Considering how busy the PIARC days end up being is there a track day run by another club that would be better to join in on....say Maser/AROCA/MSCA?
  9. Happy belated B'day Sarah
  10. Thanks for the info BB....makes it much more transparent for the rest of us. $19k is way to much to ask for a track day at Calder if you ask me
  11. Ok, ok that was waaay over the top based on previous number of entries....my mistake. In any case, it seems that with the increase in both in their drag and circuit costs the management of Calder WANT the facility going the way of Waverley football ground
  12. Hang on what am I missing here...in the first part you say a min of 10k to run and then in the 2nd part you say it will cost $350 per entry.....90 entries x $350 = 30k+ Are you saying that Calder is now charging that to hire the track for the day? (aside from the other costs on the day which I assume to be small compared to the track hire)
  13. Lol...yep and boeing are left wondering where all their carbon has gone
  14. Cheers....I will give that a go. At this stage I'm thinking that there is a small leak which say left overnight drains the system...maybe the pressure created in the system when using the clutch is closing the leak or something like that. Anyway I will have a close look to see if I can spot a leak, re bleed and see what happens.
  15. WHAT.....NOOOOOO I'm in the process of getting the car ready for this and I'm so close I can smell it (or maybe thats the oil and clutch fluid smell) Ahhhh crap....not happy in fact I feel like calling Calder and venting
  16. Ok fair point but the way I understand it is that there is a reservoir of fluid (master) when you depress the clutch the system sucks fluid from this to operate and then returns it once the clutch is released. So somewhere there is a broken seal letting air into the system but not bad enough that there is a noticable fluid leak. Also the system was bled and then was re bled when this problem surfaced.
  17. Hey guys, I recently had a new clutch put in my R33 GTR. Awesome clutch and great to use except I felt like I was learning to drive all over again when I picked the car up This wasn't helped by the fact that the installer believes that now there is a new clutch the master/slave cylinders have given up the ghost and is sucking air into the system. Basically if you leave the car for a bit the clutch hits the floor when you first get in and you have to pump it a few times to get the feel back (ie fill the system with fluid again). All of this makes sense, the only thing that makes me think something else might have been missed is the fact that this clutch is lighter to use than the one that was in there and up until now I have never had issues. This kinda negates the reason that the new clutch put extra 'strain' on the system and the master/slave have failed. So besides a new master/slave is there anything else I should look at?
  18. Very nice saff....I look forward to seeing it in action

    What The?

Yep can highly recommend his work.....top notch, takes the extra time to get it right and no surprises. Poor Mick has to remix the paint 3 times to get it right on my car...most panel beaters would've settled for the first mix!
  20. Also look for a leak in the little vacuum hoses between your boost control and turbos etc.
  21. Ragtop red F355 on North Rd driving towards Nepan Hwy about 4pm yesterday.
  22. Not sure if its available in Oz but there are companies in the US that can change your car colour using this stuff and when you are bored with it you strip it off without damaging your paint. I was sent a series of pics showing them changing a 911 from white to blue and the end result was so good you couldn't tell.
  23. Yep a tuning company over in the ol' US of A has been doing this to BMW's for ages. They were also placing the turbos right at the back of the car. When I questioned the lag of such a setup it was pointed out to me that as there is almost a constant flow of exhaust gases to turn the turbo it is almost constantly providing boost and hence the lag wouldn't be as noticable as you would think. I wasn't entirely convinced but it does make sense.
  24. Glad to hear it...when I had it checked over it was extremely clean. No idea about the syncro issue....as far as I know they haven't been replaced and seem fine to me except for a few high rpm changes from 4th to 5th at the track....although thats probably a combo of worn clutch and driver skill Yep previous owner gave the keys to a mate ho drove it not noticing the lack of oil pressure ...turns out there was no pressure for a reason and the motor welded itself together....no rebuild though....instead a fresh R34 motor with 15,000 km on it. Current incarnation:
  25. I do believe that black 33 is now sitting in my garage
