While I agree with the above, in reality it would be too confusing to introduce a sliding scale of the gov % cut. What really pi$$es me off about the taxes on the petrol is the tax on tax situation. Fuel comes into the country and the gov adds import duty (not called that but effectively the same)...then the gov adds a further 'gst' tax on it. Of course they don't charge the 'gst' tax on the cost that it came into the country with but the cost + the import duty...hence the tax on a tax. All this talk of watchdogs etc is BS when there is an obvious way to reduce the price of petrol at the pump

I believe gtst-vspec (paul) on the wa forums did this change over in his 33 gtst. Fire him off an pm or try the search function.

Congrats to all who flew the SAU flag Adz.....apparently ran over a rock that popped two tyres (F + R) and then popped the remaining front in the emergency brake. They couldn't get Targa approved size tyre replacements so had to pull out.

Nah all up it was around the 400-500 mark so I'm estimating that the wheel alone would be a couple of hundred.

I had my old gtst one recovered...dropped the car off before work and picked it up after as there is a train station right next door. I went to garry blackman trimming in richmond and cost me a couple of hundred (was a while ago so would be useless posting the cost as I'm sure its changed). Recovered steering wheel (and I had the handbrake and shifter boot replaced as well):

A couple of things to be aware of....having a non-airbag wheel on a car that came with an airbag is defectable. Also aftermarket airbag wheels are mega $$'s. You could always get your original S1 wheel recovered...

Apparently that special pearl white on the Lambo is a $15000 option when you buy the car

Yep 4 largish bolts hold the rail to the floor....remove the plastic coverings that cover the back bolts and do it all up. If that doesn't fix it you might have to take the seat out of the car and tighten everything up.

Most of the GTR's in vic running that sort of power (and they track them too) use a Nismo Super Copper Mix twin plate clutch. It is a great clutch with a light pedal (almost stock 'weight') and a very progressive feel. Not cheap though (just over $2k from nengun/greenline)....

Correct the original seals on the taillight have broken down....any decent panelbeater will be able to re seal for you. Just make sure to get rid of any water in there before you reseal.

Hey Adz, I would love to do this but looks like it won't fit with future plans on top of the fact that the rules don't really fit my car. If my plans change I'll join up.

Djr....did you go the SCR or the SCR pro's in the end?

Hard to advise without knowing what kind of adhesive it was. I have has sucess in removing adhesive from dbl sided tape and the like using shellite and euclyptus oil.

Most hated...tarted up excels closely followed by tarted up lancers. I can understand why someone needs a cheap shopping trolley but for the love of god don't rice it up!

Oh and if you ever do go down the road and install a bar further back to mount the harness on don't forget to get a camera mount welded on as well....

Thanks mate....yeah I can pretty much tell you the exact point on the video where my butt cheeks clenched together thinking I was going off when I went wide at turn 1

Ok finally got my incar vid's up... This is my 1:50.3 lap....things to look out for are me missing the apex carrying a bit more speed through turn 1 (that grass came up pretty quick on the exit ) and the clutch spinning just before hayshed. 1:50.3 Lap This backed up my 1:50.3 with a 1:50.4....I had to let Ivan past around the loop and check out how much he gained on me! Also popped some nice flamage 1:50.4 Lap Nothing too special here just a few wet laps...apparently I wasn't busy enough around the last turn and decided to turn my wipers on faster...the clutch getting worse and a skatey last lap... Wet Laps

Any chance to see this footage somewhere other than youtube (blocked)?
