  1. Great Pics Tom PM sent
  2. Check the EPA thread but some simple points from the above...Do the cooler OR the pod but not both as you are only allowed one intake modification (IMO do the cooler). Secondly you would have to remove the exhaust and replace with stock no matter what the emissions are like (due to noise). Lastly you will have no dramas with the hiflow as the the turbo will look stock and simply claim that it is. The only way to prove otherwise would be to remove it and they are not going to do that. Also in regard to emissions....as you will have the stock ecu and running stockish boost, even with a hiflow you should have no dramas.
  3. Yep I bought a car from NSW....It is dead easy as long as everything with the car is legit (do the homework) and modifications are kept to a minimum or you are prepared to exchange a few for stocky items as the car has to go through the rego process.
  4. That may or may not have happened to me when I was running the hiflow....all that *might* have happened was change exhaust to stock, unplug ecu and replace with stock ecu. The hi flowed stock turbo looks factory and because my ecu was controlling boost I didn't have to remove any boost control either. With the stock ecu and exhaust the car drove fine off boost.
  5. +1 for ATP as well DK...most of the time it is done on stock turbos as it replaces the ceramic wheel with a steel item and allows you to run more boost safely. With my old gtst I went from 145rwkw to a safe 210rwkw but then I added other items as well. As for anything else that might need to be changed, it will depend on how much power you want...for my 200+ I added FMI, computer, ported exhaust manifold, fuel pump and reg, air filter and exhaust.
  6. Oh and a big thanks to the volunteers who braved the weather so we could go out racing
  7. WooHoo....new PB for me at phillip island.... 1:50.31 Nothing changed on the car....stocky engine, stocky suspension and stocky brakes
  8. Oh and I should have some in car footage within the week....not as good as last time with all the overtaking but you can see what line not to take through turn 1 at speed
  9. Was an interesting day if nothing else....sorry about those with dramas and I hope nothing was too serious with your beast archie. I had a good day despite the clutch giving up the ghost....did a PB of 1:50.3 and then repeated it the next session. I think most of the time was made up at turn 1 and southern loop...to be honest turn 1 scared the crap outta me the first time - missed the apex and that grass and ripple strip was coming up very fast. Luckily the left hand wheels just touched the ripple strip with no adverse effect. The second time I hit the apex and there was much more room on the exit Also had a bit of fun in the wetter session towards the end of the day and was going to go out again but figured it wasn't worth the tow home due to a busted clutch. Dammit the 49's are soooo close
  10. Yep couldn't agree more Gary.....considering that dealers/car manufacturers make more money off servicing and spare parts why would they refuse to service a non ozzie delivered car?? Me thinks sour grapes
  11. Colin better be on the case http://carsguide.news.com.au/site/motoring...strikes_nissan/
  12. Hey Dane...the bits and pieces look awesome and I can't wait to see the beast back in action....good luck with the rest of the build.
  13. Lol I don't mind the cold (nor do my turbos ) as long as there is no rain...at least for most of the day to try and get a PB
  14. Agree 100% on the above....last year at EC during the motorsport trip it absolutely pissed down with rivers across the track and standing water everywhere. I was simply staggered at the amount of grip the RE's gave me even when cold. Gadg was using RE's then tried his street tyres and had nowhere near the grip that he had with the semi's. Biggest issue with them on the road is definitely the noise and the wear.
  15. Lol...actually yes he is Check out the motorsport section ->the thread called airbags and motorsport..... or something like that
  16. Sorry to hear mate...I was looking forward to seeing the silver bullet in action again
  17. Happy belated b'day guys
  18. Geez I didn't realize it was that old....the pics I've seen of nissan testing the vspec version showed a gtr that looked nothing like that!
  19. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/modul....php?storyid=33 So is this the real deal or is it a photochop?
  20. Woops I stand corrected Lol and as Shane pointed out its actually black.....don't worry you are not alone, the amount of times people mistake it for midnight purple is countless

  22. Wasn't that 33 (the one with the pink calipers) your car....or at least one of your old cars?

  24. If I had the cash..... ...I'd give it all to Racepace together with my car
