  1. Oh noes ...sorry to hear and hope you get no dramas with the insurance. By the way you never came to say hi at the GP
  2. Spotted bright yellow LP640 driving down the Nepean Hwy near brighton at around 5:30pm Sat night. Had the factory optional extra blonde in the passenger seat too
  3. Hey Ferah, It is well worth trying to get the Volks thru the Yahoo auctions and importing them via rampart or Slidewize.....you will save heaps as I did when I bought mine....

    Nos

Any of you two got proof for what you typed there? Last official documentation I read agrees with Al in that you cannot have ANY part of a NOS system connected to a road rego'd car.
  5. Nice photos mate
  6. Well now I'm back at work for a rest....feel a little worn from 4 days of drinking and hot weather Had an awesome time despite our placement being a little out of the way....and the DUST....why oh why did I bother getting my car detailed .....I can only hope that the wax protected the paint from scratches! Was good to hang out with everyone as usual and the atmosphere of the GP just added to it...sorry I didn't get to be on the stand much during race day but the bits of cf I scored off a broken F1 car made my day
  7. They are 'legal' because they come fitted from the factory with a butterfly valve in the exhaust system....the epa say ok we'll test the noise of your Lambo/Porsche/Ferrari etc at xyz rpm so the manufacturers just set it to free flow after that.
  8. puts hand up at least I got to bring the R into work today....woke me up better than a cup of joe thats for sure
  9. Sorry mate....I had a look and the diagram I have was just for the coilpack loom that I had from a while ago. If you do manage to track down a full one or one that relates to the airbag I'd appreciate a 'copy'
  10. Anyhow.... Congrats matt...thats some great power there and congrats to everyone else. As Jack says mate its 1:51's at the Island for you and if you are pulling those times me and you are going to be very close
  11. Yep not every place does ali welding as it does have to be done by someone who knows what they are doing and using the right equip. As for the oil on your cooler....clean it off then go for a drive and if its back then yes you have a leak Oil is most likely in the intake system because of blow by....get a catch can to clean it up a bit or work out why the oil is there in the first place (too much boost / worn rings etc etc).
  12. Happy B'day champ
  13. Lol that depends on how long you want the engine to last and what you use the car for....ie motorsports, just cruises etc. I wouldn't push mine much passed 300kw at the wheels as it sees a fair bit of track use. That said a mate ran a tired 32 motor for two years of solid track use at around 320kw (atw) before it let go.
  14. Lol there goes the neighbourhood I wonder what the WRX members think of this as they will now be fighting for a trackday spot between SAU and the HSV/FPV clubs...
  15. Lol...how stupid is that?! Thanks Neil....thats what I was thinking of doing but until then I was looking for a simple solution re: the fuse.
  16. I hate Snowy because he's given me a bad case of Airbag Worry Syndrome (AWS)
  17. Orange GT3 RS on Flinders St passing the intersection with Eliz St at 5:30pm last night...licence plate '911-GT3' or something like that
  18. They chose the 599 over the LP640...oh noes....although I guess the average age of most of the members answers the big why question
  19. Damn looks like my reasons have been covered
  20. Ooooh me..me...me *sticks hand up* Looks like the GTR group is going to be full of Racepace tuned R's....and Matt....and lil old me Whats this about the HSV club...have they joined the WRX trackdays as well?
  21. I've checked the docs I have with me and can't find a wiring diagram...will check at home as well. Yeah even though most of the driving is done on the track I still drive it to events as well as the fact I still take it on drives every now and again. If the laws said both driver and passenger could legally use a harness on the street I wouldn't worry but as we are forced to use the normal seatbelt, I'll want to keep the airbags. Hence I want an easy way to disable and re-enable the airbags. I've always looked at the airbags and thought it would be a bitch if they went off during an accident on the track but never even considered them going off at random! Like I said in my first post here...I'll have to add that to the list in the back of my mind.
  22. G'day mate Contact GTTR34 on these forums.....I think CarX did all the graphics on his car but best to send him a PM to confirm
  23. Very sad to hear the news that Ashley has passed away...condolences to the family and those that knew him.
  24. Holy crap....now I've got one more thing I need to worry about when punting my car I 2nd ferni's question....does anyone know an easy way of disabling the airbags (I have a driver and passenger one) while doing motorsport ie pulling a fuse or two?
