  1. Correct about the stock inj...they will be fine for the power you are looking at making. Might be worth getting them flow tested though. Go the PFC...cam gears....boost control....K&N filter and you should see 250kw at the wheels at around 14-15psi. Just make sure you do indeed have steel wheeled turbos
  2. Hahaha probably not if its the only method of attachment. The latest CAMS manual (online) now has a camera mounting section and club days now have the option of secifiying that in their regs or not. I think as long as it is safe and secure they won't have a prob. Not only is mine held in place by the two hefty baby seat bolts but I strap the camera to a secure part of the mount using some coated braided steel cable.
  3. Ahahaha...well that has a nicer ring to it than the names I normally get called Well I did buy one that used to get clamped to the headrest mount of the passenger seat of my gtst....unfor the same isn't available in the GTR so I made one out of ali box tube that bolts to the baby seat mounts on the parcel shelf. Wasn't too bad but a little refinement should reduce the shakes a bit. Nah had it on for scrutineering but this was a piarc day so they didn't look too hard! No probs mate Yeah there was a fair bit of smoke....my car used to do the same when I had the exxon valdez tune and no catch can...since both have been attended to it seems much cleaner. Bugger about the rotor...they looked fine on the day but with the dust filling the cracks it was hard to tell.....still can't get over how loud they 'cracked' when cooling down!
  4. Interesting thread as it has been something I have thought about in the past. As mine is used on the street and stupid rules say I can't use the harness on the street then I'd have to keep it. If this is the R33GTR I think you are talking about would it have anything to do with the previous damage caused at Morwell??
  5. Ok with many thanks to Ferni I have hosted some vids from PI....enjoy... Hack but clear one lap sprint Collection of misc stuff BB popping some flamage
  6. Sorry to see it go Al but as others have said unlike 80% of owners you actually got to enjoy yours in proper enviroments Bigger and better things in the future
  7. Just saw the results....seems they've cleared up a lot of the mis-listing of times that they posted up on Sun but they still list a DNF for me even though I finished every session.....and no 49/50 listed either Never mind theres my incentive to pull my thumb outta you know where Will try and get some vids up in the next day or so
  8. You also need to consider the age and condition of the plastic end tanks on the std radiators. Considering the stress that drifting etc put the car under I wouldn't be surprised if the coolant system sees higher than normal pressures.
  9. Mate there is little point getting a Nismo one as the locally produced ones are just as good. Plus if you are going to track it def go the adj ones as you can easily tune your setup to suit the track on the day.
  10. Yep I'm certain my post is accurate for GTR's
  11. Nah.... R32 89-94 R33 series 1 95-96 R33 series 2 96-97 R33 series 3 97-98 R34 99-02 (i think)
  12. Paul....to my knowledge when you run a better fuel in a car (either a better quality fuel or one with a higher octane rating) the cars ecu adjusts the amount of fuel/air to compensate. Hence a better fuel will be used less to obtain the same result and you get better fuel economy.
  13. Ash, Not sure If I can make this meet or not yet.....in regard to the AGP show are we going to have any seperate meets before to sort out who is doing what etc?
  14. Mate, while there would be a tiny difference in lap time if you ran EXACTLY the same lap back to back (which is never going to happen) I'd say in a real world situation it wouldn't make much of a difference. That 1.5sec in the 33gtr (and I know who you are talking about ) would be down to the driver having more experience plus perhaps he was trying different suspn settings. More of a consideration is cost of tyres, maximizing the track and what brake setup you can fit under the rim.
  15. Hahahahaha You even had your window down...why didn't you stick your arm out drift style?
  16. Lol BB...flamage AND sideways....top shot Is there another photographer that you know of that was there on the day? I had a look thru SDPICS and I couldn't see the one you posted above.
  17. Good to see that this is all back together Awesome work.....benno built and tuned for the win
  18. Yep had a great day...was a little hot and due to grouping andrew and I got caught in a bit of traffic but none of that can distract from the fun All in all the car felt a much better beast with a retune and rear toe set at 1mm instead of the 3mm I was running Most corners the car goes where I want it to go but there are still 3 I can think of where the car still wants to push wide. My lap timers recorded a mid 1:50 which I was wrapped with.....I was hoping that would result in a 1:49 on the offical results but when BB and I checked them they appeared incorrect. I can only hope it was an error on the day and that when they are released they will be right. As for the footage I'll try and get it off the camera over the w/e...bit shaky in parts but nice flamage from BB
  19. Awesome baron...tell me you are going to make an appearance on the Sun even if you are not driving as it would be good to actually meet you
  20. Inconel studs are your best bet ...not cheap but no chance of stretching at temps
  21. Not yet mate...I'm waiting on some susp bits and pieces before I get them installed so everything gets done in one go. Will still try and break into the 49's though...
  22. Good stuff....I normally get there pretty early so will look out for you...if you are not already there I'll grab a garage so look out for me.
  23. No worries let me know.... If you are interested maybe we can go 1/2's in a garage as well?
  24. So BB are you still going to be there on Sun? I will be there on the Sun considering I missed the Winton round...
  25. He did do a 1.21 but it wasn't his first track outing....the first was the Maser sandown day in late 2004 that brisby was talking about.
