  1. Well I'd count it equal....When I went to sa....sure I was only 1 person but I was there for 8 months...none of this 3 day stuff
  2. Just something I thought of.....why don't you put them in order of member number?
  3. Yep...Vic TMU had a fleet of WRX's they used back in the early 2000's. Rumour has it that they stopped using WRX's because they kept stacking them Anyway I wonder what the legality is in regard to them displaying P plates when they are on a full licence?
  4. Done....looks good paul
  5. Hmmm fair enough. Do you know what the tyre was rubbing against? Considering the width difference between the 285 RE and 275 road tyre I wouldn't have thought that the 6mm difference in offset would matter. Also there are other guys down here that have used 10.5" wide rims with 285 RE tyres and have reported no issues. Either way when it comes to the thread starter I'd stick to 265 or 275 tyres.
  6. Lol I too have unfinished business with Winton...unfort due to circumstances it doesn't look like I'm making this one
  7. QIK....While I don't disbelieve what you are saying I feel there must've been something else to blame....do have a lot of aftermarket bits on your suspension or is the car lowered a lot? The reason I say this is that I ran 18x10.5" +18 offset with a 285 RE55 tyre! Keep in mind the RE55 is even wider than a 285 road tyre. In a year of tracking my car and the odd drive on public roads I had no issues with rubbing. My car is only slightly lowered and is running stock suspension save for HKS coilovers.
  8. 100% agree....but didn't ferrari claim it was to maintain airflow to the brakes or something? Load of BS if you ask me
  9. The reason they don't get picked on by the public and the police is the whole reason bikie gangs started in Oz. Back in the 60's and 70's young bike riders started modifying their rides.....the public complained about the noise and hoons and the police started a crackdown. The bikers got together and formed clubs where as a 'pack' they could fight back....and by that I mean literally in some cases. The police and gangs got together and formed a peace by kinda saying you don't annoy us and we don't annoy you. Of course this all changed when they started doing real crimes like drugs and guns etc etc. Does the early part of that story sound familiar at all??
  10. Not too sure about the stickers etc but as for the emblem down the middle - that is an option when you buy the seat from the factory so just because it doesn't have it doesn mean it isn't real. Oh and the bride website might give you more of an idea: http://www.bride-jp.com/
  11. Thanks Baron....I can't believe how difficult it is to get std sized decent slotted rotors for GTR's here in Oz!
  12. Mr Baron ....as stated before I'm after a set of slotted rear rotors for my 33GTR....do you know the part no for the Mu's as the 34's have a larger rotor....
  13. While what you have said will be true for the guys who have real talent, I do think that it will be a leveller for the rest of the field.....over the years that the cars have had TC the amount of times it cuts in during a corner when they show incar footage staggered me. Now that the driver will have to step up and actually control an F1 car around a corner whilst maintaining tyres etc I think we will see the talent seperated from the rest.
  14. Apparently some of the awards were as follows.... Fantasy Car of the Year...Ferrari 430 Scuderia Sports Car of the Year...Audi R8 Supercar of the Year....Nissan GT-R and was described as follows: 'The GT-R is monstrously good. It locks on like a missile. Seriously, this thing hooks up and accelerates like a Bugatti Veyron. Its body control is breathtaking, too - you just know that this car has been meticulously engineered down to the last tiny grommet. I seriously doubt that there is a car on the planet that can corner faster or more aggressively than this.' Not bad for a Datsun
  15. Oh well it was only a matter of time
  16. Apparently you can get these pretty cheaply from a nissan dealership. Never done it myself but worth a call....
  17. Very young.....General Lee and KITT young......Lambo Countach youngish......Ferrari F40 not so young....Mclaren F1
  18. Bris, I used kennards in oakleigh a while ago and all was good. One thing I'd point out is insurance....if you want your stuff properly covered then I believe you have to put it under your own house and contents policy....don't take this as gospel though, just ask the questions.
  19. Yep as everyone else has said if you are mounting inside a car don't go the HD type as they will shut down within a sniff of vibration. I bought a panasonic CCD camera and have been very impressed with the footage....they range in price but the one I bought was just under $1k.
  20. LOL the memories....the memories .....or should I make that LACK of memories Whats the bet it won't cost us $30 for 7 shots either!
  21. Ok got the leave pass signed but have an engagement party that day.....I'll call that pre-drinks and than drop by the belgium for proper ones
  22. I believe you can take your vin no and other vehicle details (like chassis no) to any nissan dealer and they can cut you a new key using the factory specs. I haven't done so myself but worth a call to a nissan dealer.
  23. Do you have all the clips and stuff that fit it to the bonnet?

    Thanks....

After the final meeting last night, I just wanted to thank all the committee members, as well as everyone else who volunteered and organized SAU Vic events this year . Once again it was a great year filled with all sorts of events, motorsport and social alike that without all you guys couldn't have run as well as they did . Congrats to all that won prizes last night, they were certainly well deserved! I hope everyone has a merry and safe xmas and new year and I look forward to catching up with everyone next year at SAU events .
  25. Was going to make dinner but looks like thats not going to happen Will see everyone at the meet though
