  1. Wrong...refer original thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=177821 Unless someone can provide documentation to show otherwise this is the case....
  2. DRD-00F - Hahahahaha Wrong. According to ADR's any hole cut in the bonnet whether it is covered in mesh or not is illegal...apparently it can spray any oil leaked by the engine on the windscreen people generally don't get picked on this but it is a possibility.
  3. hahaha *cough* bullshit *cough* LOL classic post Adz Gonna grab the popcorn for this one!
  4. Also be aware that in Oz any hole you cut in your bonnet (meshed or not) are 'illegal' and defectable due to ADR's.
  5. Roy, I managed to burn off the first two paint strips on my DBA5000's at sandown and they were tinted blue at the end of the day. I believe djr81 on these forums has more accurate temp data on the dba's used on sprint days in WA (I think!). Oh and the pad I'm using is the SBS carbon/ceramic type....
  6. offsets depend on all sorts of things like the width of the rim.....best to check the wheels and offsets thread in this section
  7. djr is correct as I have seen BA falcon wheels on a 33 gtst.

Nice.....love the vspec duct in the bonnet
  9. You have PM
  10. Started off using Bendix Ultimates in my 33 gtst on tracks days...std brakes, motul rbf600 and braided lines - as others have said good street pad with little noise and good for light track use. I found when I started pushing and doing 3 hot laps in a row they would fade. Racebrakes Rb74 (front), Comp2 (rear) - same setup as above and found these to be a great combination. Brake balance front and rear was good and consistant and never faded. Did find them noisey on the street, produced a lot of dust and needed a bit of heat to work properly. Good value for money. SBS carbon/ceramic (front), Comp2 (rear) - using on a R33 GTR with motul rbf600 and front dba5000 rotors. Awesome pads with absolutely no fade. Good brake balance and consistant pedal feel throughout a sprint. Extremely noisey on the street but don't produce a lot of dust and have decent braking from dead cold.
  11. Hahahaha...of course I'd love to see you say that to Riverdance after his sandown experience
  12. AHAHAHAHAHA very good mate...keep it up
  13. Unfort due to circumstances out of my control (but at least 50% my fault) I am out this round
  14. Smurf that is the extact setup I had in my gtst when I tracked it. I ended up with around the 200rwkw mark (on a safe tune for track) and it survived without issues for years when I was running on street tyres.... Engine wise....FMIC, ECU (in my case Wolf but PFC's are around the same cost these days), stage II highflowed std turbo with ported exhaust manifold, always ran castrol edge 10w60, oil cooler. Oh and a good free flowing exhaust. Apart from that I recommend upgraded clutch (if you haven't done so already) and upgrade the diff. Also run good brake pads and fluid together with braided lines. Also at least have an oil temp, boost and oil pressure gauges so that you can keep your eye on things. In all the years I ran this setup I never opened the block and the only issues I had with it were the coilpacks breaking down and the std exhaust manifold cracking. At the end of the day as long as you over service the car and have a good base to start with it should last.
  15. Of course, thanks Blitz as it means I don't have to go trawling through my magazines That make perfect sense as the allowance for the awd system would already be there
  16. Firstly let me just say that this is an awesome car worth every cent of the asking price. The work carried out and mods are top notch. I do have one question....I've read a lot of articles on this car as I have been in the skyline game for a fair while now and it has appeared in many a magazine. In one such article I'm pretty sure that I read this car was a nuts and bolts rebuild using only genuine GTR parts but using a gtst chassis...can anyone confirm or deny this?
  17. Not true.....for a start there are plenty of varied jobs on a mine and driving one of those trucks isn't exactly physically challenging these days.
  18. I can tell you that what was presented on 60min was pretty much spot on. However it isn't very easy and 60min did go into some of the issues. Accom in any town near a mine is almost impossible to get at the moment. This means that the company will generally fly you in and fly you out for your two week shift (generally 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) from the nearest capitol city, in this case Perth. So for a start consider moving to Perth....any wonder that Perth house prices are more expensive than Sydney! That is the biggest issue that I can see as the rest like extremely remote working conditions you can put up with.
  19. +1 I had to make sure I wasn't on ns.com!!
