  1. Nathan the factory tow hook does just fine. Just be aware that they use fabric tow lines to pull you out of the sand and depending on your front bar/rear bar it might cause a bit of damage. After market tow hooks extend out to prevent this. You do not need a sticker to locate it just make sure you know where it is to point it out if needed....

    Racv Testing

Do a search as there are heaps of threads out there about this.... To sum them up....the values vary depending on things like is the engine warm....is the battery in good nick. The thing that matters is the CONSISTANCY of the values....ie if you get 150 across the board all is good....if you get 150 across 5 and one reads 130 there are issues. Also nissan allow a max of 8% difference between compression values...ie if the max result is 150 the lowest reading can't be below 138. Hope that helps....
  3. Actually try around $400-500 EACH! Although thats sized for and R33 gtr with brembos
  4. Happy birthday Jarrod...hope you had a good day

    Racv Testing

Don't touch RACV for a test on an import.....take it to a workshop that specializes in imports and get them to do a full mechanical inspection and leakdown/compression tests.
  6. Berin, I went through this about 8 months ago and agree that you would be pushing to get $20k. Unfortunately there are a lot of cheap 33's for sale out there and every buyer wants something for nothing. I'd strip the easy to remove bits and then stick to your guns for the money you want...eventually someone will buy this prime example and know what it is worth. Good luck with it
  7. Hey champ...I'll prob have a video cam that you can borrow as I don't think I would've sorted a mount for my car before this weekend. Might just have to supply your own DV tape as I don't think I have any lying around... And whats this about the last outing for the rb20?
  8. I only just heard about this....according to reports a trucks tire burst and it pulled over. I'd imagine either people slowing down to rubber neck or the truck itself was hit and it snowballed from there.....
  9. Lol mate I live in Bentleigh so I'm just around the corner anyway Hahaha considering how tired you were before leaving WA I thought I wake you up before the flight The offset is +18 and in this size I reckon it is spot on....still clearance for the suspension and face of the rim sits perfectly in the guards. As for the exhaust it is a Trust system.
  10. Forget the RE55's for MC action Gav. Stick with something like the Toyos as recommended above.... I'd only go the 55's if you do mostly circuit work.
  11. Thanks for all your comments....its probably a bit sad but I can't walk past my garage without sneaking another look As for breaking the gearbox....with the power I'm making (or lack of) the extra grip shouldn't break it anytime soon, although being a 2nd hand car you can't be too sure of the condition.....I'm more worried about the extra strain on the clutch which is on its way out. Ferni....Its pretty stock atm....running around the 260awkw mark. Suspension wise...it has HKS coilovers and a couple of minor tweaks. My aim for this car will be grip/handling first and power later. Al....I did although that wasn't intentional.....only got back on the 3rd of March and have been flat out sorting jobs and unpacking! Would love to make the meet tues night but prob won't happen...but I will be at the membership renewal on the 24th.
  12. Thanks Mav....well you'll prob get to see it in the flesh at the membership renew....baby seat and all lol
  13. Sure are
  14. Jack, Went for the 18 x 10.5" .....compared to the 9" ones they look FAT I got them throught Slidewize and compared to the last mob couldn't recommend them more!
  15. HI all, After reading James's updated thread showing off his new rims, I couldn't resist doing the same thing. Some of you know the hassles I went through last year trying to get a set of track rims sent from Japan....for those that don't...lets just say that I first ordered a set in April 2006!!! As it worked out, this turned into a bit of a blessing as I sold my gtst and bought my gtr. After doing a little research, I settled on the size and after deciding on a manufacturer was left with two options...the CE28N's or the new RE30's. When I was given a great deal on the brand new RE30's my choice was made See the results below (note the lack of front lip is due to it getting a 'refresh' ).......
  16. Hi all, I have for sale one genuine used GTR front lip. Forget the cheap fibreglass copies...this is an original plastic front lip fitted to the bottom of the front bars of series 1 and 2 R33 GTR's. Reason for sale is that I bought it for my gtst and never ended up fitting it. It is in great condition except for a few minor scratches on the bottom edge. I will have photos up after this weekend. Located in Melbourne. Considering the size and shape of this item, I would prefer pick up, but will send if the buyer arranges a courier. Asking $450. Cheers, Anthony.
  17. My advise would be give Rampart or Slidewize a call....
  18. As Nick asked...whats the story with accom on the fri night? Would love to stay the sat for the antics but thats not happening at this stage
  19. Lol...yep got back on the 3rd I managed to track the R at Barbagallo before I left but I am hanging for PI! As for the street tyres....hopefully no, but still hush, hush
