  1. It is my understanding that you are responsible for the whole accident if everyone else managed to stop without hitting something. The fact that they didn't hit anything when they emergency braked means they did have enough room between cars to stop in time and the fact that you then hit them means YOU didn't. Anyway it would be best to speak to the insurance company involved. Cheers
  2. dave, I have a wolf 4d ecu in my skyline and the battery has gone flat numerous times as well as the battery being disconnected for various work. Never has the ecu 'lost' its settings and I would be surprised if this was the case in your situation. I'd find out who tuned it last and see if you can compare the current settings with the last tune they did.
  3. Maybe qualified for your average aussie sold car but not imports. Be aware of the racv test limitations like the fact that they do not unbolt anything....ie they don't even take the wheels off to check pads and rotors.....forget them finding oil leaks hiding underneath engine covers or heat shields etc.
  4. Patrick.....personally I wouldn't bother with the racv test esp with imports. Rather find a decent mechanic who will look at it for you as tests like leak-down and compression will tell you more about the cars health than anything the racv will do.
  5. Happy belated B'day Dan Hope you had a great day champ

  19. Sorry to hear Firsty why would anyone selling a car let someone drive it without them in the car....secondly why would anyone buying the car want to go for a drive by themselves ? Always get their drivers licence details, never hand over the keys and if possible get them to sign a documents stating that if they stack it while driving it they own it. Cases in point...selling my first performance car (manual turbo mx6) a guy rocked up wanting to take it for a test drive....asked for his licence which showed he only had an auto licence...errr I think I'll take you for a drive!!! Brother in law was a selling a motorbike....guys rocks up in a vintage monaro...as he handed the keys to him, he said "you stack it you own it".....guy comes back 10mins later with ripped leathers and a bent bike so as per the agreement he handed the keys to his monaro over to my bro in law and he took the damaged bike.
  20. I have been asked by the SAUWA intrepid spotter to post that the BP on main st is selling ultimate for 139 a litre. Never thought that I would think petrol at that price is cheap but in this day and age :
