Yeah I had a clicking noise like this on my 33...turns out there was a nail stuck in the tyre...check your tyres very carefully.

Circlelights.....that loud squeal is a belt slipping on the pulley....either replace the belt or check for fluid leaks.

Yeah its about $3000 I just couldn't remember. In other words the ECU manuf. would have to pay $3000 for every car that ecu can be used on. Take the PFC, or wolf they can almost be applied to every vehicle x that by 3k and you understand why they don't do it.... Its just a bastard that it is left up to the car owner but I guess we chose to do the mod

Oh and you can get an EPA arroval for your car in its current state (assuming the emission levels fall inside the range) All you need to do is pay (rough figure) $3000-5000 and even then a cop can force you to do an emissions test to prove that you haven't changed it since then!!

dezz...I had the exact arguement with the EPA years ago. Apparently the ECU manufacturer would have to get an approval from the EPA for each car it can be used on and it would have to demonstrate that it did indeed reduce emissions. As you can imagine that would cost a packet load as each ecu can be used on a variety of cars. Also the fact that they are all tunable would void that approval as the EPA would say that you can change it after it is approved and make it worse for the environment.

Nah mate you start with a certain no of points (in vic its 12) and lose them.....

Guys to my knowledge the EPA won't care about the hole made for the cooler......the epa stands for environmental protection agency ie they care about what co2 and crap is coming out of your exhaust so they are looking at induction/turbo/ecu basically any mod that changes the fuel/air ratio of your car. However if you were canaried for the hole it might be a diff story.....

Well they were doing the wrong thing....and as they say - do the crime, you do the time. One point I will raise though - I'd have no problem with this whole thing if the baliense police had done all the ground work and arrested them. However if the ozzie govmt in any way tipped off the bali police and potenially placed them in front of the death penalty I think is wrong. If they had good evidence that this was taking place, and they got thru the bali airport - arrest them here and then tip of the bali police about the baliense ring members.

fark count yourelf lucky 45+km/h over!!!.....in vic it used to be 30+ over and an automatic loss of licence. I believe as of jan 1st that has been dropped to 25+ over Depending how rough your estimate of 100km/h is, they drop off some speed due to camera error so you may drop under....

Actually bigger change than that....got relocated to WA (perth) for the next 12 months so your going to have to step up and make a few track days ATP (Advanced turbo performance) is on Dandenong rd near Chaddie shopping centre. Just look them up in the white pages or do a search in the vic section for ATP....I've posted their details before a couple of times..... I would give em to you now but don't have them on hand

Hey Rianto...long time no hear buddy I'd recomm. ATP....kyp can be a handful sometimes but he knows his stuff and does a lot of work for other well known workshops. Just mention you know me when you call or drop by.... oh and you can use the search func. to find his contact no and other recommendations from SAU people

Yeah thats it.....I don't know how exactly it works whether its controlled via the ecu or a separate system (it would have to open at the right RPM to maximize its use) but it is available.

Already been done by at least one Japanese tuner(HKS). Works but very expensive to setup...

So pete after a bit of driving is it much better? Also do you get this 'clunking' when leaving from a standstill with the steering turned?

Drew, Don't know exact specifics but the series 2 ecu has a better tune etc. I believe the diff in coilpacks is that series 1's have an ignitor above each coil whereas the series 2 has a remote one. All i do know is that when manufacturers make these kinda changes it is to improve the replaced part for whatever reason.
