2nd Ashs post. I have a hi-flowed turbo exactly like yours with supporting mods (intercooler, fuel pump etc )and without upgrading injectors mine starts pinging around 18psi....

Interesting..... In vic the rules state that any rim can be 1inch bigger than the biggest rim that was fitted to that chassis from the factory. Ie the R34 gtr was fitted with 18" std therefore even the gtt is legally allowed 19". Also in regard to the xenons, when the car is complied the xenon globes are removed (supposedly destroyed) and replaced with oz spec non-xenon globe. Unless the owner has replaced these with xenon globes they should be legal. On a side note I can't believe they check all this just for a WA rego!! In vic when I imported mine and reg'd it all they did was check the chassis and engine no's! You only worry about things like exhaust and ecu if you get the dreaded EPA notice

Cheers....its not actually a lot of stuff and too be hosest if I was tracking my car I'd prefer it there anyway. The only req besides the std OEM stuff is a 2nary bonnet restraint, 1kg fire exting, metal valve caps and that nothing loose must be in the car or in the boot. I've prob missed something but thats about it

Insssane - Once my line arrives (early Feb) I will be very interested in doing these type of events on a reg basis. Just one question - I was running in the Vic championships last year and therefore my car is setup as per the CAMS regs ie it has a 2ndary bonnet restraint, 1kg fire ext. etc etc. Do I need anything else besides these requirements?

Cheers Snowie Bec....It just so happens that the weekend of May 6-7th is my b'day weekend (30th no less ) and was planning to have my 30th in Vic anyway. What a great b'day pressie to myself that would be....hmmm the island
-
Snowie....quick question mate On the PIARC weekend at PI (specific. may 6-7) can you do just one day say the 7th or do you have to do both days?
-
Yeah geoff they seem nice enough....just gotta meet in the flesh now Also waiting on the WA tag to be added to my list...I'll almost have the whole set soon
-
oh and Geoff.....paul says you owe him a beer
-
Hey Snowie...so the rules have changed a little since last year and we've added the fuel pump to the modded list? I don't disagree as last years rules allowed quite a bit of mods before you stepped up to mod class.

That layout would be lots of fun Typical that this comes up after I've been relocated to a desert country town...ooops I mean Perth
-
Thanks miss pie.....although it is only the hire car and it certainly is no skyline so this is just for a bit of fun Is it busy during some times more than others??
-
Cheers Dan....I'm heading from the city (east) but not to worry thats what a UBD is for As long as I have the road name etc I should be right! Anyway it is just to get my fix before my 'line get here
-
Further from this topic..... Just picked up my hire car and was wondering where I could go to find a nice quiet twisty road that isn't too far away from the city (<1 hour or so)?

Cheers...will have to have a look

What this 'circuit battle' thing??

Thanks guys. Cheers for the heads up on the upcoming track days but unfortunately I'm only expecting the beast to arrive next month. As for the drags, I'm not really into 1/4 mile action as circuit racing floats my boat, but might come along to see what times I would run for a bit of fun Paul, I was actually given your name in Vic as a contact thru GTRgeoff. Now I'm a member of a CAMS recog. club and have my cams licence - so do I have to be a member of the WA sporting car club or can I just join their track days? Topaz - as said above I will miss the track day on the 20th but are there any others planned and who do I contact to join in?

Hi All, Just thought I'd put a few words together to say hello. My names Anthony and I've been a member of SAU Vic for the past couple of years. A recent work contract has seen my family and I move from Vic to Perth for approx 12 months. I have now owned my R33 for about 5 years and being extremely passionate about owning it joined SAU to meet like minded people. I also have an L2S cams licence which enabled me to join the Vic champoinship last year and ended up taking out my class as well as coming 2nd in the overall champ table (check the thread in the vic section) . Now in Perth and expecting my car to arrive in about 4 weeks time, I'm itching to get back on the track and was wondering what kind of track days you guys run and at what tracks (it will prob save my licence too ). Also once settled I'd love to join SAU WA (adding another state tag to my collection ) and come along to an event or two. Anway catch up with you all soon, -ant95gtr.

Greg...thanks mate and say goodbye to your old man for me. Bec...Thanks heaps for making my dinner last night and I feel very special considering u missed drinks for me A big cheers to Al for organizing on very short notice - with those skills he should be the social coord for SAU!! Leewah....Cheers mate. Actually I'm more concerned about Blaize moving back to Perth and leading me astray than the Sandgropers biting!!! Its all good and maybe we can start a WA team wang group while we are there. I'll be sure to post the pics of any damage we cause to Perth

Thanks for all your wishs guys & gals. Nark....Will def catch up when back in Melb but until then enjoy married/engaged life and look after Josie West...enjoy the tracks in '06 and hopefully I'll be a little faster when I come back as I'm looking at doing some track time in WA Saff.....Looks like we might have a spare room in Perth depending on the exact acomm arrangements so let us know when you are thinking of heading over! Dezz....hehehe that would be pretty cool and yes I might as well get the WA tag......never know in a few years I might have the whole set Matt...thanks mate - keep tracking the R34 and look forward to seeing it in a year or so with even more mods!

Hi All, Just wanted to write a quick thread to say goodbye to those I missed at the last meet. Over the last couple of years I have been lucky enough to get suitable work in my industry here in Melbourne, but as of next week I'm relocating with my family to Perth for around a year. About 5 years ago I imported my skyline, and being extremely passionate about owning it as well as wanting to meet like minded people, I joined SAU. Since being a member when SAU Vic was properly setup over a year ago, I have met a great bunch of people who are not only passionate about their cars but reject the 'usual' sterotype that other clubs tend to attract. Knowing that this club is based on such a great group of people I'm sure the following year will see it grow even more and I look forward to seeing some new faces on the vic tracks in '07 I will try an hop on the forums as much as I can while away to catch up with everyone but without knowing how Perth will be setup, I’m not sure how often that will be. So until Natalie, Zack and myself see you again in '07 I'd like to thank you all for your friendships and I'll look forward to returning to the Vic tracks after gaining some experience in WA (all I'll be thinking in Perth "...gotta get back to the island.....gotta get back to the island..." Take care, -Ant
