  4. Hey Bass to my knowledge (I own a series 1.5) they didn't come with two airbags just the drivers side one. Perhaps it was an option when the original owner bought the car new from nissan?

  8. Oh and James I couldn't have said it better mate
  9. If I read what Roy posted correctly, it would be the same as the road toll stat. If you are doing 45km/h in a 60 zone but the road conditions would only allow you to travel safely at 30-40km/h (ie raining, traffic etc etc) then an investigating officer would record that speed was a main factor. Like the road toll - the statistic is just a toll of people who die on aussie roads not people who die in a car.....so that stat includes the drunk pedestrian who steps out in front of a car or the cyclist who ran a red light.
  10. Hi everyone, OK boys and girls its time to stand up...... Everytime the news hits that another young person has died behind the wheel of a car (performance or not) I read everyones comments on how things should be different. From these posts it seems that most people here support the view that the driver training in this country is woefully inadequate and the government seems too gutless (or otherwise) to do anything about it. Those of us who also attended a night with a certain V8 supercar driver, who runs his own driver training courses as a business, heard this sentiment echoed by a professional driver so we all can't be wrong! This very same professional driver has also approached many politicians (you know the people who are supposed to listen to the community) stating that the only way to stop young inexperienced drivers dying on our roads is to introduce better driver training. Their responses included 'oh that would cost too much money' or 'it would be too hard to introduce and setup' and instead came up with the ol' 'speed kills' campaign. For a start speed doesn't kill - the idiot behind the wheel does and secondly how much money would you spend to stop just one young person from dying behind the wheel?? Anyway I was on my way home last night and came across this ad placed in our newspapers asking for public submissions (see attachment) on young driver safety. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO STAND UP AND MAKE YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS TOPIC KNOWN TO THOSE WHO CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I urge all of you to download the document, fill it in and return it - the only way to make a difference is if we ALL speak up and the more people there are the harder it will be for the politicians to ignore this problem.
  11. Thanks for all your replies guys At least I now know what to ask for instead of "I need a tool with a spline shaped end with a hole in it....' dont think I would've gotten very far with that one!!! To those that offered a lend of their Torx tool, cheers but I better buy one of my own as I like to tamper with my toys
  12. Hey geoff, cheers for the info mate but I also want to remove the blade for some maintainance so I'm guessing I have to remove all the bolts/screws right? I guess my question is can I walk into a Bunnings or Repco and buy a tool off the shelf that will fit those two screws/bolts on the left of your piccie?
  13. oh sh&^$t I better go unwrap that 2530 and Nismo 1000cc injectors then......... anyways back on topic .......
  14. hey ruffls, I always thought the silver paint was on the INSIDE of that garnish yet you are clearly sandpapering the outside!!! So am I correct in saying that the silver paint is on the OUTSIDE of that garnish then??
  15. Hi Guys, After picking up an original R33 GTR rear wing (series 1 if it matters) I wanted to adjust the position of the blade using the adjusment bolts on either side. I removed the end plates using the hex head bolts on both sides only to find the following pattern on the heads of the screws/bolts that you use to adjust the blade angle (see attachment)....... As my dodgy drawing indicates it is almost a spline shape with a raised circular bit in the middle (black shapes are the raised sections of the screw head).....now I have various spline shaped screwdriver attachments that would fit except for the fact that the raised circular bit in the middle stops the tool engaging. Does anyone know if I need a special tool that maybe came with the GTR toolkit or can you buy a tool at a hardware store that would fit (ie its a std tool pattern)?? Any help would be much apprieciated
  16. I have one lying around....off a ser1.5 R33..........$50 PM if interested...
  17. thats cause you are the Tony (black wrx) of Team Wang mate..... we all know you're just a track wh0re
  18. Have been witness to this car in action......great car and well maintained B)
  19. Yeah I don't see a members section either. I knew there was a cruise coming up too but couldn't remember the date.....Just found out the dates last night at the meet from Al and found out that I double booked. Maybe if I could see the thread this wouldn't have happened !!!
  20. I had the same problem in my R33..... One of the small vacuum hoses had come off the little valve thing right next to the screw to let air out of the cooling system, towards the front of the engine above the fuel rail. Popped it back on, attached a clamp and the problem never came back. Hope this helps....
  21. no worries Geoff.....its yours mate ITEM IS NOW SOLD
  22. onboost - PM replied had a couple of offers from QLD.....anyone in Melb interested??
  23. It was a bit more than coilovers mate!!! Anyways I took over 3secs off my best and took it down to a 1:36 at sandown so I'm hoping to do the same to my best at Winton. Although I tend to agree with Roy about winton.....without major mods (or a change in driver!) I'm unlikely to be that quick around there
  24. sweet Bec....I'll catch up with you there about the IOU from a couple of meetings ago
  25. Well not quite Denham Actually that car has a fair bit of handling and other mods so with the added grip of the semis he is able to match or beat your times. Don't forget that the times I put down are only a few seconds (or closer) off your times.....all with 200rwkw no suspen mods at all and small, crap road tyres......
