Pred/Inark, I had Jetspeed mesh my front bar....perhaps they can tell u where they get it. Also when I was trying to track some mesh down someone suggested a plumbing joint (like Reece / Penhullarucks) 'cause they use a heap of the stuff. -ant95GTR

Erik, I also had a problem with my double DIN alpine system not reading any cd's (both originals & burnt). Took it to my alpine dealer who had a look at the unit and found that the laser was dirty......cleaned the laser head and haven't had a problem since!!!! -ant95GTR

The best time 2 go 4 a cruze is.....anytime!!!....as long as it is organized a fair bit in advance so us poor buggers who have to work on the weekends have a chance to B there!

Zombie, In my experience......the quickest and easiest route would be the insurance comp. to assess and work everything out....all u have 2 do is drop the car off and pick it up. The best way to put ur mind at ease is the harder option.....finding reputable panel shops who have had experience fixing 'lines, talking 2 customers maybe and finding a panel beater who is obsessive 'bout getting things right! Just rememebr quickest and easiest isn't always the best! -ant95GTR

SKYLINE GTR As far as I know the difference between a vspec I and vspec II is all in the suspension & diff setups......vspec I was setup for general road use whereas the vspec II was setup to lap the Nurburg ring (harder setup!!) -ant95GTR

Sydneykid, Do you know if this applies to Vic fixed speed cameras? The bastards are mounted everywhere these days but I'm pretty sure they are digital and use a form of laser to trap cars. If they had to have the rubber strips mounted under the road they would have to rip up part of the road surface to do it and I certainly don't remember them doing that when they installed all those ones along the western ring rd.....

U shouldn't have much of a prob......I was insur'd thru Shannons at the time & they were great....didn't even need to take the car to them 4 an inspection....gave me a 'recommended' panel shop over the phone, arranged a time......skyline was fixed in under a week.....top job too. If U want the panel shops name I could probably look it up 4 ya......

Sorry to hear that Zombie...but I know exactly what u r going thru.....had some a-hole run up the back of my 'line a while back along King St in the city.....also not too bad just rear bumper damage and lft rear quater panel needed some panel beating. Quote was over 3k though!!!!

G'day 2fardown.......I have a metallic black S2 (1995) m-spec front bar with fog lights etc, excellent condition......sitting in my lounge....wanna make me an offer to take it off my hands?.....one problem is I live in Melb so you'll have to look at transport costs etc etc.

As far as I know the rule is an ADR so yes it would apply to all states......the upper edge of the boot is fine......I think the rule says the car has to have a 'high level' brake light so I guess any posi above the std brake lights....

Adzmax, Don't quote me 100% but last I heard all cars manufactured after a certain date (i think 1989) have to have a brake light above the bootlid (ie included in the wing or in the rear glass) I'm not sure how this rule is applied to imports though.....

As far as I'm aware......S1 lasted until the end of 94 had no airbag and low rear spoiler. S2 started early 95 easiest way to tell had driver airbag & higher rear spoiler (m-spec). In 96 the S2 had an update which included the front spoiler (with fog lamps) and a higher bulge in the bonnet (which are fitted to your car). The 96 update also added a passanger airbag. I'd say that if your car is a 95 it has had an update with the 96 frt spoiler & bonnet and a new paint job

sewid......I currently have a m-spec series 2 front bumper (met black, with ind) taking up room in my lounge. If it fits a s1 how much do you want to offer me???
