  1. Awesome work Chris that is one insane time! Congrats to the whole SAU crew for putting some some great results.
  2. From the paper today: I hope none of this rain has had an impact at HHills....will be interesting to hear about your experiences this weekend.
  3. ...and its not even school holidays *facepalm*
  4. LOL Ash...actually for a GTR you will have to beat 56.36 for the normal run and 63.64 for the Fig8 John I thint that was me - not the first time there but a bit of a brain fade I notice from the entry list that Danny T and gone back to a Rex....I know the Emo was giving him troubles but anyone know why?
  5. Simulation can be found here.... http://www.gpupdate.net/en/videos/752/computer-simulation-of-kubica-s-accident/
  6. Correct...in the front, out the back....in a vindaloo kinda way Someone did an animation of the accident which I was shown....I will try and dig it up.
  7. More pics of Kub's car...
  8. Not sure if I have posted here or not, but I use a cheap handycam (tape) mounted to the parcel shelf. I just made up a central mount that fits using the babyseat mounting points, fit the camera to that and away I went. Captures a full view out of the windscreen and down to the gear lever I can watch any missed changes
  9. Congrats to all! Some great results and times from the SAU peeps
  10. Oh noes Sorry to see mate but glad to hear you are fine. As Snowy said above I have seen it happen too plus my car has got a little sideays there before. Hope to see you back in action soon.
  11. Good luck to all the SAU peeps heading down and competing in WP. Oh an Liam (bazil) can't believe what a small world it is....your old man drove me and the family around in NSW last weekend Got talking and he mentioned he was heading down for the event and drove a GTR with you.
  12. I concur with Dunc about the A050's....Last year PI when Russ did his 48 (yes I know its not a GTR) the tyres were well worn and obviously still had plenty of grip. Sure it would depend on their life and how they have been stored but in my experience they seem to be pretty consistant during their life.
  13. After having a scroll through the website there is certainly plenty of info - It appears to be legit as it would take someone a lot of time to setup all that for a scam. Then again as Ash pointed out, only having an email as a contact will do them no favours.
  14. Hi Dave...couple of answers to your q's: 1. They vary depending on the circuit (some more $$$ than others) - expect to pay between $100 (haunted hills) to around $250 (phillip island). 2. A few weeks before the event the supp regs and entry forms are released....simply fill in and fax off. There is no pressure to do rounds - you do as many as you are willing to do. As long as you are a current SAUvic member and do at least one round you will be part of the championship. 3. Events are generally done on a session basis - based on experience/past lap time you will be placed in a group. They then cycle through the groups until closing time. 4. All the days are as competative as you want them to be - do not feel under pressure to set the world on fire at your first couple of events - just go out there and have some fun. 5. Yes you will require a CAMS L2S licence. They will cost around the $100 mark for a year. Don't have a link handy but all the info is on the CAMS website. Cheers Ant.
  15. Damn Luke that sucks! Sorry to hear and I will keep a look out. To help others keep a closer eye on their pride and joy do you have any idea how it got stolen?
  16. Mine arrived the other day Looks great and wife sends her thanks for finally replacing the 2009 SAUvic one
  17. I took out Class A - mod GTR which in turn earned me a 2nd in the outright SAU Championship Sssshhhhhh!
  18. Yep...great meet as always. Big thanks to the committee for all their hard work as well as the sponsors who help it all happen. Looks like the trophies were big enough to convince the minister for finance to keep shelling out the cash next year
  19. Awesome.....I will look forward to 2022 in that case
  20. Good vids guys Great to see the silver beast in action Troy. As for Richos steering angles...maybe its a 33 thing as mine seems to require a fair bit (will have to check my winton footage to compare) so much so that it feels uncomfortable to keep my hands on the steering wheel in the same positions
  21. Bought... ...will replace the 2009 SAUVic one currently in my kitchen (much to the better 1/2's disapproval )
  22. Good work mate +1 for the flames! Soooo can anyone advise a noob on how to embed the vids like Richo's above?
  23. Last day for submissions...GET THEM IN PEOPLE!!!! Mine just sent
  24. Interesting...stuff paying these drivers in F1 big bucks to take part in *supposedly* one of the worlds most deadliest sports - just give them all mountain bikes
  25. Social coord has just informed me that my best mates bday dinner is on that night So current plan is: SAU drinks for pre drinks > mates dinner drinks > SAU drinks for after drinks (if everyone is still there) This is going to be messy
