i take it the government ran out of money to give so theyre "fund" raising?? maybe they should hold some "donut days" at Krispy Cream instead. would probably make more money

okay got an update of the situation payed a visit to scotty_nm35 today and cam (iamhe77) was also there! we cleaned my AFM, and we changed my spark plugs. now i know for a fact my mechanic told me shit, cos he obviously DIDNT look at my sparkers or coil packs (unless he forgot and just said stock ) i was told platinum plugs, with standard coils. we opened it up and saw nice blue coil packs.... turns out i have SplitFires, and they are in good condition from what we could tell! and the spark plugs were copper.. and model NGK BKR5E-11 we put the NGK BCPR6ES (0.8 gap) in! (first time changing plugs for me wh00p) also found that my ECU boost sensor is damaged, the nipple for the small blue hose is broken off, and the hose was just plugged with a screw. so i need to get my hands on a new one... anyone have one? (aparantly they cut the engine if the boost gets to high only?? so prob maybe not related to my issue as its always been unplugged) the BAD news is that what we did didnt fix the shuddering.. BIG props to scott and cam for helping me out! u guys are awesome! i owe u one.
-
i still presume that is NOT my issue by the sounds of it, from what that sensor does.? i would plug it back in if the nipple wasnt broken off.! i'll check my tyres when i get petrol wed. will make them 36psi all round. anyone else have any other ideas? would it be worth resetting my ECU ?
-
from what I can tell the boostguage has always worked! So that must be the ecu boost sensor which is not pluggged in? My rears are getting slightly more worn than my fronts come to think of it maybe I should swap the fronts with the rears?

(just makes me not want to go back now) we opened it up and saw nice blue coil packs.... turns out i have SplitFires, and they are in good condition from what we could tell! and the spark plugs were copper.. and model NGK BKR5E-11 we put the NGK BCPR6ES in! big thanks for talking sense into me i really dont want to have to spend too much more money on it! i pulled the pod off and gave it a good wash! (dry type) its a fine metal mesh, so i soaked it for about 15 mins and then washed it off and rinsed thoroughly!! so much black shit came out of it! the bucket water is black! its currently drying on my windowseal hopefully that may improve the air flow! the AFM will be quite dirty i feel as the inside of the intake pipe near the AFM was just covered in black crap i noticed when i pulled the POD off haha!
-
i unplugged it and gave it a good drive and it still had the issues! hence why i've moved to next solution.....cleaning pod, AFM, and changing the sparkers
-
okay i think it is this one Blitz SUS Power POD
-
so i'm planning on cleaning my pod filter tonight, and i'll be cleaning my AFM on tuesday night with Scotty (thanks so much dude) i'm pretty sure my pod is a "DRY" (blitz??) one so i can just soak it then let it dry ??? is there anything i have to be mindful of when cleaning it ??

Would You Let Another Guy Take Your Girl Out?
atomaly replied to GTRWAGON's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i take it the suspension wasnt "squishy" enough and it was steering way to true and accurate for them ? thats what mine said anyway -
yeah theres already a thread containing this one somewhere Kids Heart M35 to GTR conversion! VERY NICE!
-
Looks good man i'm leaning towards getting myself a set of TE's as they look mad with stags...
-
i was considering putting leather in my RS4 S . as they dont come in leather.. EVER. i dunno if i can be bothered now. i find the fabric nice and its quite comfy after all. try going on pimp-my-stag ?

the best quote ever "you aren't insured for my car"! i would kindly lend MY missus if they were willing to lend their missus .... eye for an eye. (but she'd have to be of equal value / quality ) haha -
Mongoose m80g i'm quite happy with mine!

ahhhh so my mechanic told me to gapp to 0.8mm! so i'm gonna follow his lead. thats what they are at currently and the current plugs are platinum. where in VIC can i buy the gapped to 0.8 NGK BCPR6ES? cos i could only find the BCPR6ES-11 i dont think i know enough about what i'm doing to do that to my coil packs! i'll change the sparkers first, and if that doesnt fix my problem, then maybe someone can give me a hand doing that fix to the coilpacks! ? (i'll supply beverages )
-
i'm thinking it will most likely be either my sparkers or the coil packs.. its shuddering under load but its a bit erratic and sometimes doesnt happen...... and it definately only happens while its hot! i'll post back when i've changed the sparkers and checked my coils i really hope its the spark plugs.... and not the coil packs haha
-
thanks guys, i'll be changing the sparkies when i can find them tried to get the NGK BCPR6ES gapped to 0.8mm! and i could only find the NGK BCPR6ES-11 gapped to 1.1mm! wheres the best place to get the right ones?? order online?

Andddddd the issue is back after a longer drive tonight wierd cos It was driving pefectly for the first 25 mins then after that it just hates me
-
Okay bad news I took it for a longer drive tonight 1hr plus and the issue is back! I turn the aircon on and I get engine check light come on. I plugged the sensor back in. Light stays on. Turn the aircon on and off goes the engine sensor light. Something sounds dicky with the ecu maybe haha any other suggestions? I do know someone who had a similar issue and they replaced pretty much everything until they got to the ecu and that was the issue! Where too next hmmm!
-
unplugged my O2 sensor and its running smooth, took it for a 30 min drive.. no shuddering issues of any kind, and running smooth as when i first bought it i'm going for a longer drive tomorrow night! just to make sure! (i have a feeling my mech plugged it in when going over car, as i think from memory i saw something unplugged but didnt really take much notice) is there any issues with running it with no O2 sensor for long periods of time? or will it just mean it will run R & R ? in any case i'd rather use more fuel than have my car feel like its a kangaroo i'll be getting a Power FC eventually anyway
-
looks like it was the O2 sensor.. unplugged it, and its sooooooooooo smooth! no juddering whatsoever in any case of cruise or boost. i'll take it for a longer drive tomorrow night and see how that goes! it actually feels like its running BETTER and not as rich as before after unplugging it! (less plops and very smooth) thanks scott! i still wanna pop in and say hi anyway! and check out ur m35 i'll post again when im 100% sure its all fixed! (i have a feeling it was unplugged WHEN i bought it, and my mech has plugged it in when going over the car hence the correlation between servicing and the issue starting)
